Arkle House is a bungalow which has everything we look for in a relaxing holiday let. Comfy beds, 2 bathrooms, a garden, and a well equipped kitchen. The decor completes a perfect home. The property is in a good situation with the high street about 20 minutes walk. Great for dogs. To sum up ….we found it to be perfect and are already planning our third visit.

Lovely bungalow and a credit to Barbara. Spotless and located in Amble about 10 minutes from the harbour area. Parking is a bit tight as the property is on an estate road, but with the help of kind neighbours we managed our two cars absolutely fine. Would highly recommend and would happily book again if we returned to the area. 👍

I had an issue with the heating (totally user-error) and Barbara responded to me very quickly. The house is ideally located for touring round Northumberland.

The driveway is quite short but does take a large SUV. I would definitely return.

Booked for parents golden wedding anniversary and they enjoyed there stay, had everything they needed and even left a wee card along with the welcome basket which was very thoughtful, very clean cottage and bigger than expected they had a great time here.

Ankle house was immaculate and had everything we needed plus the bonus of a lovely welcome pack for us and the dog.
We had no problems whatsoever during our weekend and would highly recommend the house. The location was good and we went to various places. A tip for those with a dog who can’t do hills or dunes, there is an easy access beach at Alnmouth however it is £3.50 per day or £10 per week. But we felt it was well worth the money to see our dog run.

We had a lovely stay at Arkle house. It's a very comfortable, well equipped ( better than most), exceptionally clean property. A plus for us was the peaceful private dog proof garden which our dog, Eddie, loved. An old fashioned sort of area which suited us as so are we! Nice friendly neighbours too.

The property is clean comfortably furnished particularly the beds, so many holiday let’s are let down by hard uncomfortable beds and sofas, but not Arkle House. The garden is properly dog friendly and is a great place to relax with a glass of wine. Would definitely return.

It was a spacious and very nicely furnished bungalow.Everywhere was spotless and there were treats for the dog as well as adults.Barbara really thought about everything needed and more to make a really joyful and carefree stay. Everything worked. It was a 10 minute pleasant walk to the high street where there are cafes, super charity shops, food shops and boutiques. Harbour's at the end of the high street with bespoke shopping Shacks. Plenty eateries and really good fish and chips takeaways. Perfect seaside village, Perfect bungalow and perfect host …Fairytale stay x

We had an excellent and comfortable stay at Arkle House. The house was beautifully clean and well equipped. It was warm and cosy and the log burner a welcome addition. I can't think of anything that was missing and it was obvious that a lot of thought had gone into providing a very comfortable stay including the generous welcome hamper and delicious scones. There are lots of mirrors and clocks around which are often absent in holiday lets and plenty of hanging and storage space. The king size bed was very comfortable as were the sofas in the living room. The cottage is about 10 minutes walk to the center of Amble where there are lots of places to eat and drink. We particularly liked the Harbour Inn on Leazes Street. The food was excellent. We had a very enjoyable few days.
