Paradise, spotless, a dream holiday home...

The location was just amazing, in a secure estate although not far from a township, the sea literally on your doorstep, it felt and looked like paradise, just as it does on the pictures. The host Samantha was super friendly and helpful with a comprehensive list of surrounding local attractions which was very helpful. The check-in and check-out was seamless. The cottage is very well equipped for self-catering, very clean, clean carpets, clean linen, clean towels, coffee and tea stuff on the house. I will definitely return soon for a longer stay. We loved it.

Wifi kept on dropping, not sure why. We could not be afforded a late check-out but since it's festive it is maybe understandable.

Blick aufs Meer vom Bett aus

Der Blick auf die Rocks und das Meer vom Wohn-und Schlafzimmer sind wirklich spektakulär, man könnte stundenlang nur auf das Meer schauen. Die Gastgeberinnen sind sehr nett, Kommunikation ist sehr gut. Man bekommt viele wertvolle Tips für die Region. Das Wohn-Esszimmer ist gemütlich. Es ist super sauber.

Die Lage des Hauses ist in einer gated community, in der man sich sehr sicher fühlt. Die Lage zwischen den Armensiedlungen und dem Industriegebiet ist allerdings wirklich etwas creepy und die Anfahrt nicht besonders vertrauenserweckend. Das Haus ist wirklich ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. In der Küche schliesst kaum eine Tür mehr richtig, der Kühlschrank ist vergilbt, die Badezimmer haben nicht mal eine Mischbatterie, die Sicherheitsschlösser an den Scheiben funktionieren nicht mehr. Es wurde versucht, über einige Accessoires wie neuer Duschvorhang oder Wanddeko etwas Modernität reinzubringen, das kann jedoch über den allgemeinen Renovierungsstau nicht hinweg täuschen. Verglichen mit anderen Unterkünften ist es für Ausstattung/Lage zu teuer. Schade, denn die Lage ist wirklich ungewöhnlich.

Stunning location, perfect for whale watching

Amazing location with stunning view of the bay. Close to the whale watching tour so really convenient for an early morning whale watching trip. We had a Braai in the garden. Host was super helpful and flexible.

Gorgeous view!!!! Irene was so lovely and helpful. Felt very safe and having wifi during loadshedding was a bonus.

Short stay in Hermanus

Cute little house right on the rough ocean, fantastic host and very friendly and clean facilities. Quiet gated community with a cliff walk available right on your door step.

Leaving the property you have to drive since it is quite a way from nearby restaurants and it leads through an industrial area (Abalone Farm)

Was a lovely stay as part of our honeymoon, will definitely be back.

A stone throw away from the ocean. it’s out of the main town so very quiet. Complex has 2 beautiful swimming pools within walking distance. Big and spacious accommodation.

You have to drive near a squatter camp to get there which seemed a bit dodgy. Not a beach that you can walk on (no sand) or for kids to play in.

Great accommodation, lovely views directly from the lounge and bedroom. Attentive host.

The views from the cottage were stunning. You couldn't be closer to the sea with the waves crashing on the rocks. We were mesmerised. The terrace was perfect for breakfast and evening dirnks. The rooms, lounge, kitchen and bathrooms were perfect. Irene was a perfect host furninshing us with good directions where Google on it's own might have got us lost. She was there to meet us and gave us a warm welcome. Only a 5/10 minute drive to the centre. Good friendly security. Make sure you follow Irene's directions.

great if you want to look at the ocean all day, limited otherwise

the view is absolutely stunning. without question. the owners are also very friendly and accommodating with lots of help and advice throughout the entire process. the beds were also quite comfortable and the pool area was very nice. the entire complex felt very safe with good and alert guards.

unfortunately we found a very strong smelling urine stain in the carpet of the main bedroom, on the clean placed towels and the laundry basket. apparently the previous occupants had an accident which resulted in the awful smell. the owner did her best to scrub it clean but the smell stayed for the entire of the stay. a good reason why rental properties never have wall to wall carpet. the unit itself is also situated between an industrial fishing complex and township. so walking anywhere is out of question. you need to drive everywhere and even following a special route to avoid the local elements. the complex itself is also quite dated with appliances and fittings which are very old. they work fine but you get a feeling that investment and update is needed. this feeling continues with all the little signs like „take off your shoes“ which make you feel like you’re staying in someone else’s home rather then your own for a short time. essentially, without the view, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here.
