Enjoy shopping at gift shops, antique shops, including Lagniappe, a 17,000 square foot antique mall! No tour would be complete without stopping by our newly dedicated Veteran's park honoring all branches of our military, as well as a quiet rest under the shade of the giant live oaks on Bayou Teche, followed by a swamp tour in Lake Martin. Top off the evening with dancing at La Poussiere, the famous Cajun Dance Hall or Pont Breaux's Restaurant!
Breaux Bridge is only 10 miles from Lafayette Regional Airport as well as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, home of the Ragin' Cajuns! Take in a concert at Acadiana Center for the Arts, visit George Rodrigue Studio to see the Blue Dogs, and take a trip back in time to Vermillionville Historic Village! If traveling from over seas, New Orleans International Airport is just about 2 hours away. It’s convenient for a pleasant day trip to New Orleans as well!
