Though the house was nice and pretty much what we expected, there was no information about staying there. We couldn't figure out how to get the tv to cable or to hook up the DVD player so we could use it. We didn't put the trash out to be collected because we didn't know when they were coming. We went to the beach that we think we were allowed at but we didn't know because there was no information about it.

Interesting home, well appointed. Some issues with cleanliness, for instance moldy coffee grounds in the coffee pot. House was 51 degrees on arrival, took over 24 hours to warm up to 63 degrees. No help provided by owner or Vacasa. However the location and layout of the house worked perfectly for us and we had a spectacular eclipse experience.

I had high hopes for the house however we had too many problems to not write a review. Before getting to the house I had reached out to make sure that the chair situation was taken care of for the dining room and was told “the issues were taken care of”. Well to my surprise when we walked into the home there was no where for us to all sit and eat. The table was also lopsided so we wouldn’t have eaten there anyways. There was a very strong smell when we walked in took a little while to figure out but we think it might have been the smell of dog. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Only issue/problem was the upstairs front bedroom has doors that open and they just go straight the roof nothing stopping anyone from falling through that and off the roof. Wouldn’t recommend that room for kids. There was a pantry which we were excited to use but we found food that had been eaten through and mice droppings all over the pantry. Then we found more mice droppings under the sink, by the window and under the couch. Not very sanitary when there were people trying to eat and kids trying to play. No outdoor furniture either including a fire pit which is listed that, also the bikes were not accessible due to the garage being full. The home has so much potential but I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying there until some major issues are dealt with.

Nothing like the picture you show here. There were no chairs, except some high chairs next to a 6" wide breakfast bar. Not how you want to have a meal. Otherwise there were two beat-up old chairs, very low, in the outside "patio" area, with a rattan bench acting as a table. There was a dining table, but no chairs for it anywhere. We ended up eating on the couch, which was awkward. Also no places to sit outside, which is a shame, with such a large yard.
The place has been partly renovated, and the windows are new and they work, but they were filthy. The upstairs bathroom has no shower, but maybe one is coming? - There's a weird device in the floor that might be the drain for a shower. The upstairs bathroom does have a jacuzzi tub; the shower downstairs is fine.
There is no railing on the stairs going up to the bedrooms, making it difficult for those of us with mobility issues.
Going in and out of the front door was treacherous, as there are paving stones just thrown down haphazardly in front of the door - very easy to trip.
The cable tv was not very comprehensive, just a few stations, and there were other little things - no bin for the compost bags to go in, no hot pads in the kitchen, etc.
It just wasn't a comfortable house to be in.

For starters there is no lake view what so ever. This house needs a very good deep clean. There were cobwebs with spiders in just about every corner of every room. Dust bunnies under the couch and beds. We had to take out and clean all 3 air conditioner filters because they were filthy. Kitchen table is broken and there were no chairs available, just a bench for 2 people that also wasn’t the sturdiest. Plus the 4 barstools at the island (which ones is also broken)but they are too tall to be used at the table. The bed right at the top of the stairs on the second floor was broken. That had no air conditioning. Only 1 box fan was provided. And the ceiling fan only worked with the light on so we couldn’t even use the fan to help circulate the air on the second floor. The other bedroom has a sliding glass door to the roof…. very dangerous if someone brings kids to that house. Open loft had no air and the light in the 3rd bedroom on the 3rd floor did not work. There were no extra lamps to use or any light bulbs so we could not change it. Garbage disposal in the kitchen sink stinks throughout the first floor and the gas stove leaks propane so we had to smell that as well. They advertise bikes but most of them have flat tires so we couldn’t use them. Also a second shower upstairs would be nice or at least advertise that it is just a tub because that was a little bit of a surprise. 6 people with 1 shower was tough.

It is a very quiet place that we use to share with the family. I recommend them

The house encompasses 3 floors and is spacious enough for 8 people. However, with no railing on the stairs to the 2nd floor, it made it difficult access for someone with a cane. There is only 1 shower, despite having 2 bathrooms, making getting ready for a family wedding challenging.

House was very clean and very well supplied. Towels and nice soaps everywhere. Beautiful quiet road just a quick walk down the block to the lake. Lovely walk around the lake from the front door.
The main problem was the ceiling fans did not work and there is no air conditioning. There are fans, they just don’t work. The jets in the tub also did not work. There is only one shower on the main floor. Bring fans if you go here in the summer.
We had a great weekend and would return.

Large home with many amenities. Would suggest portable a/c for 3rd floor.

The house was good, but the pictures were deceiving.
None of the thermostats were working, tempaerature within the house reached 81 degrees but air conditioning never kicked in.
We had to use every available fan in the house to try and keep things somewhat cool. Doors and windows could not be kept open to ventilate due to non working locks on doors.
The master bathroom with the tub had water seeping at the back of the sink anytime we used it.
Overall, i dont think it was worth the money it was priced at, specially as we were only there two nights and out most of the day.
Though the house was on the lake, access to lake was not easy.

House is in cool location secluded and quiet area. However, the house needs to be vented. The garbage disposal reeked there was old stuff left in it that you can smell around the entre 1st floor. The listing stated 4 bedrooms, however house is only 3 bedrooms and 1 OPEN LOFT. If you need to use the BR during night, get ready to wake everyone in the house with wood squeaking floors and stairs. Listing state firepit was on location, but it was so unused and hidden we did not find it after a day at the house overgrown with bush and 0 wood to burn. House does need a deep clean as there are spider webs flies and bugs everywhere! Was excited for a great weekend, but came with many disappointments.

We had a lovely time as 2 couples visiting this comfortable home with some nice updates. Kitchen was great and beds were comfortable. Very clean with extra linens and towels. The radiant heating was a nice surprise. The upstairs bathroom could use a shower to make it more practical. And the kitchen could use more glassware and bowls and a cutting board with better knives. The location does not have lake views as promised (at least not in October) and the wood fireplace is not in the main living area but overall, it is a very comfortable place to stay and convenient enough to Burlington.

Pictures and description were accurate except water view. This was a great house for our family (my husband & myself, teenager, adult son & girlfriend, Adult daughter, husband & 2 toddlers). Everyone had their own space. Kitchen was amazing and well stocked. We cooked most meals at home. Porch (with toys) was great for two early waking toddlers to play in without waking up the whole house. Large yard not on top of neighbors. We brought our boat and docked at the North Hero Marina only ten minutes way. We had one mechanical issue but called Vacasa and they came right out and fixed it. Only con - no screen in third floor playroom/bedroom window so it did get hot up there. Some of the screens could use mend a screen and a hair dryer.

Pro’s:
Central location on the islands
Dog friendly
Kid friendly
Con’s:
This house is a work in progress. There is a toilet hole/connection in the upstairs bathroom, along with a hole in the wall and dirty doors from finger prints.
The lake access is not useable for anything
There was a reddish brown stain on one of the sheets and dirt on a different beds pillow cases.
We paid a lot for this for three nights and left after one because it was not as advertised. If you get a good rate and have kids and are just looking for some place to sleep while exploring the islands this is ok. If you expect to get what you pay for, look somewhere else

Big, bright, clean and very well stocked! Modern, but with lots of cool wooden architecture and features so it retains a cabin-esque, Vermont feel. The toys, play areas, large yard and shared beach were huge bonuses for the kids (and dog!). The kitchen range was another pleasant surprise. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again!

This property is advertised as “sleeps 10” but it does not accommodate 10. There is one small common living space that includes a kitchen/dining/living area - the kitchen has 3 bar stools, the dining table only has 3 chairs, and the only other furniture to sit on is a small sectional that seats maybe 3 adults comfortably. So our family of 5 was unable to eat together or even watch TV together. There is no outdoor gathering space - no porch, no deck. There is a tiny patio for grilling that we were able to put our 2 camp chairs on but that’s it. The yard is large but was not mowed so we could not be outside on the property. There is no view of the bay, as advertised. The house itself has no AC so it was absolutely brutal to stay there in 90+ degree weather. There was no communication from the owner/manager like “hey you might want to bring some fans”. We had all the windows open and many of the screens had holes so bugs came in. The window sills themselves were filthy with dirt, bugs, and cobwebs. And there were only 2 lamps upstairs that we had to move around and share for lighting at night. There was even a hole in one of the walls that had a board leaning up against it to cover it. It was awful. Not even close to the fun, relaxing family getaway we had planned for. We were so disappointed.

The house and location where amazing. Everyone had fun. The only thing that could have been an issue is the missing queen size bed in the posting. Thank god our whole party didn't make the trip and we had enough beds for everyone. Also please dont count the jacuzzi was a shower. After that everything was great. We loved the kitchen and the living space.
