The tent was wonderful hot water bottle great touch.
Staff where lovely
Very quiet wonderful
Pricing weird on web site in BWP quote from hotel in dollars which made activities more expensive with exchange rate. They let us pay in BWP so we saved about £30 per activity
normal car could not get down that road

situated next to the river, beautiful setting
Very loud noises at night, music from accross the river, people talking in tents, cows with noisy bells arounf their necks.
Ants everywhere, in the tent, in the dining area, a huge problem, that needs attention.

The staff were excellent and friendly, I could not fault them. They tried their best in everyway
The rooms were OVER RUN by ants. To the point you could not leave anything on the floor including your luggage. You could not even sit on a chair with your feet on the floor. The shower either burnt the skin off your body or was ice cold. You cannot use a mixer tap with Gas. There was only one plug provided in the room which is below standard, even the most basic accommodation provides 2 plug points. The fan which was at the only plug is right next to your face, ie 20cm. Therefore if you want it on full because it is so hot, the person sleeping on that side must except strong wind into their face all night.
The beer we were served was expired in 2022, when we asked for a non expired beer they didn't have any cold ones. This to me was completely unacceptable and below standard for what you are paying. Only one flask of water is provided for your stay. The food was exceptionally average. There was barely enough to feed everyone and given they force everyone to sit together at one table (even though you would prefer a romantic night with your partner) it was very awkward when the food started running out and they did not offer more food. We were suppose to have stayed 4 nights but decided to leave after the first night as the place was completely sub standard. The cost is extravagant for what you get. If it was cheaper it would be justified.

some of the staff were great. tents were good, need to fix zips on doorways. other guests were great
the swimming pool was green instead of blue as advertised with mosquitoes and not swimmable at the end of 12 hour game drive in 34 degree heat. food was poor. no choice. communication of basic items such as wifi. wifi advertised but did not work. ants real problem especially for the children. minimal central facilities. game drive $1500.00 USD.

Wonderful staff, lovely views of the river and very secluded location. Food was delicious and they did something special for us as we were on our honeymoon.

It‘s a peaceful and nice place to arrive and settle in.
The tent was clean though we had a lot of ants inside. The trips they organize are overrated, though the guide was very nice and competent. The payment on site was very difficult because of lack of a proper cell network.

Peaceful after a long journey through Africa - a perfect stay before heading into cities again.
Staff were professional, friendly and ever so lovely.

Beautifully located property by the Boteti River with River views. New and comfortable tents with outdoor showers and comfortable bed and high-quality bed linen. Very pleasant mokoro (canoo) ride in the river.
We were welcomed by staff Hanna. Very arrogant, rude, unapproachable. After telling her that our car broke down and we were several hours late for the check-in at the lodge, we had no empathy or courtesy from her side and she simply handed two welcome drinks to us without saying a word.
During dinner, again Hanna welcomed us with an unapproachable demeanor and asked us what do we want to drink in a very disrespectful manner as if we were staying in a Backpackers lodge. When asked for wine, she simply said “white or red?” and served us some average red wine without even asking if we had any preference for the country/region/grape. An absolutely horrible dinner experience due to staff Hanna.
During breakfast, we were welcomed by the female Chef and she was extremely warm and welcoming, preparing a wonderful omelette for us (thank you).
Overall it has potential but it needs appropriate staff to make it worth spending this amount of money. I would recommend with different staff with proper manners and training welcoming guests.

The Lodge and the tents are build within a beautiful space and it looks just like in the pictures. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. Annah and Katy are very friendly and help you in every possible way and are fun to be around. They set up a beautiful engagement dinner at the river for us and the whole staff sang a beautiful song just for us and danced with us. Our guide Relax is just a wonderful person to be around. His experience and knowledge is incredible and he knows exactly how to interact with guests. We didn’t have that much cash left to tip so please make sure you tip him well he deserves it so much!! A lot of people complained about farm noises. I feel like also farm animals are part of nature and the African life and liked it a lot. Also when you listen carefully you can hear the hippos at night which was lovely :-) Thanks again for making our engagement so special we will never forget it :-)
We really can’t complain about anything that would be the fault of the Lodge itself. Yes it is a very long and strenuous drive to Moremi, so if you want to be closer you would have to be willing to pay a lot more than here. Next time we would probably stay for a night to arrive and then go on a multi day camping trip with the staff since that appeared to be an amazing option. I wouldn’t stay in the lodge itself for multiple days since it is very exhausting to do the trips from here. Also trying to be a vegetarian here is hopeless, which is okay since we are traveling to a different country which always needs some adjustment.

If the credit card machine is not working, there should be applicable exchange rates for foreign currency for the staff. The lady was helpless. So we checked the rates on internet and we’re paying accordingly. Next morning the lady came back and said, that we have to pay more -as ‚the office‘ calculated with another exchange rate….. not very professional

The location is very nice. Also the day excursion into Moremi is excellent.
The lodge gave us unprecise directions to the lodge. It is hard to find the way (we drove around Maun for an hour). Also the comment "a sedan will struggle to get to the lodge" is incorrect. It is NOT a gravel road, but a sand road. And a sedan will most likely get stuck. Better and clear directions will make life easier for the guests.

An amazing place with a wonderfull team! The food, the hospitality of the people is so great! Annah is such a lovely host and made us enjoy our stay!
Nothing! Everything was perfect. Even the difficult road with our small car was a nice adventure!

I loved the outdoor showers and layout of rooms. The use of local materials and attention to detail from staff was a plus. The hotel arranged various excursions for us including a trip to Moremi and an early morning boat ride including amazing Mokoro trip l. The team is from the local community and works through their indigenous people network to make your experience authentic..our Motemi guide was an experienced tour guide and tracker and we saw both a cheetah and leopard and learned a lot about animal behavior and conservation efforts led by Khwai area communities.

A hidden gem, not that easy to find, but definitely worth the effort.

Tents was new and neat, clean linnen and towels.
Worst stay in Botswana. From the main road there is no signage as to where to turn off, I believe the sign was run over 5 months ago and still not replaced, the camp is located in the middle of community grounds with cattle and goats roaming freely on in the camp, accompanied by the ringing of cattle bells around their necks throughout your stay. We arrived with no one at the lodge, 20 mins later a lady popped out who said she went for a mid day shower. This after we had advised in advance when we would arrive. The receptionist/hostess was poorly spoken and had no knowledge of the activities we had booked through their camp. The lady whom you book through Nedine was not on the facilities and located elswhere which made communication extremely difficult, she did not answe my phone call when we had questions. We were 45 minutes late for our scenic flight over the delta, as we had pre arranged and paid for a transfer to the airport and missed our prebooked mokoro river ride without any explanation. We had booked fishing for the next morning with the lodge but no one at the camp could give us instructions as to times and where to go. We had asked for a refund and cancellation of our stay but they would not acommodate us, so we ended up staying the night. The tens and facilities are fairly new and in good condition. Tents are quite close toe each other so you hear everything from the tent next door. Staff was up at 4 am shouting and bashing and being noisy. Other guests had to leave at 4.30 for an activity, the vehicle was idling right outside out tent for the better part af 30 minutes at 5 in the morning. We were three different guest parties and we were all disappointed. The other guests had pre booked vegeterian meals which was not catered for.

Quite simply, stay here!!! It's so beautiful in the middle of the bush not far out maun, the food is absolutely exceptional. You feel like you're getting the real botswana experience. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and when it come to arranging trips for us they were so accommodating. I highly recommend boteti!!!
