Excellent campsite with private amenities, right on the banks of the river. As a camper, you are free to use as much or as little of the nice lodge's infrastructure as you like.
We did not find anything we did not like.
4.5
Great campsite with private ablutions. Beautiful views and not too far from the lodge in case you want to enjoy some of the lodge comforts. Brilliant game drive with a fantastic guide! Would very happily stay there again.
Water at campsite not drinkable. Not a big deal as we had enough drinking water with us, but would have liked to know ahead of our stay.

super Sundowner Game drive

Very private and big camp site, clean facilities, kitchen and food prep area separate from bathrooms and shower. Amazing views, restaurant with good food and great views nearby. Try their home made bread!
A LOT of mosquitos, monkeys stole a bag of beloved rusks.

Great campsites along the river, each with its own ablution and secluded from the other sites. All lodges facilities available to campers. Everyday 'donkey' lit for hot water in the mornings and evenings and ablutions serviced.
Nothing really.
3.5

No shaded gazebo on the campsite we got though the other camps had a gazebo. it was tough if it rained no were to sit

- Location is amazing - the campsite is located on the hill next to the river. It's a prime spot to spend a night enjoying nature while listening to hippos, birds and river flow.
- Private ablution facilities - it has everything what a camper needs for a comfortable stay.
- Restaurant setting - we joined the NYE dinner and the setting was absolutely stunning.
We booked this campsite for two reasons: 1) to sleep and 2) enjoy nature. Unfortunately, we experienced the worst night during our 25 days stay in Namibia. We stayed in campsite 5 and our neighbors in campsite 6 PARTIED all night until 4 AM. There were at least 4 vehicles full of people (man, woman, kids) and they were drinking, singing and playing LOUD music all the time. The music was so loud that we could hear it even through the ear plugs. What created the biggest disappointment is that we couldn't get help on time. During the night we went to the reception, to the main lodge, to the security house next to the gate and we couldn't find anyone. At 3 AM I called to "after hours emergency" number provided on the website, but no one was responding. When we couldn't find help from the lodge, my fiance went to talk to the party crew from Rundu directly. There were three drunk man singing next to their ablution facilities the same song over and over again, and when my fiance asked them if they can switch off the music as other guests want to sleep, they were incredibly rude. They responded: "we paid for the campsite so we can do whatever we want". Seriously? Most government and private campsite throughout our stay in Namibia had a no party and no noise after 9/10 pm policy, but Namushasha lodge and campsite from Godwana collection doesn't! I understand the lodge and staff cannot control the guests, but there should at least be some sort of reporting system in place when such things happen. At 7 AM I was given a call back from after hours emergency number. The lady recommended me to report the issues we experienced to the lodge management directly. However, when we did that at the reception, we were just told "oh sorry to hear that" and THAT'S IT. Extremely disappointing experience!!!
