Excellent location!. Great check-in process with owner. Listing not exactly as it looked, but great overall for our needs. Old property but very functional.

Had a great 4 night stay. The apartment is in a perfect location for sightseeing and so close to restaurants and bars. Easy communication with the host. A little bit of maintenance is required to the property though nothing that impacted our stay.

Great location and size for a large party traveling - 6 adults and 1 toddler. Rooms were a good size and we all fit comfortably - we never felt as if we were on top of each other. Will def stay again with a large party traveling to Lisbon.

Wonderful location. Very large.

For 6 adults and one infant (8 months) this place was ideal. The living area was big enough to accommodate all of us and with the 3 big doors opening up out the street below it made it really bright and airy.
But the real attraction here is the location, it is literally in the heart of all the action, walking distance to all main attractions.
Nice little wine bar right underneath the appartement, great selection of wines and light tapas style food selections.

Great place to stay in Lisboa
The whole experience was fantastic. The location is central to Lisboa site seeing and there are really good restaurants within a few minutes walk - if that. We had plenty of room to spread out for 4 adults. Thanks to Henrique for his hospitality.

Great property in a fantastic location needing a liyyle TLC
Really enjoyed the property. Location was ideal and convenient for what we wanted to do. Property itself needs some TLC - dispenser on dishwasher is broken; coffee machine very old and only works 1 in 4 times; outside area stank of bird dumpings etc we had to clean; crockery chipped (owner did provide extra mugs and spoons) but other then that the property met what we needed.

Family stay in Lisbon
The apartment provide a great home base for us to explore Lisbon and Sintra. Even thought it’s definitely in the middle of a party area they bedrooms were quiet at night and we had no trouble sleeping.
Plenty of linens and room to cook as well.
WiFi only in front room does not reach to middle and back bedroom.

Amazing Location in an Amazing City
We had a great time staying in Lisbon. Henrique was a great host. The Apartment was as advertised. Great location right in all the action of Lisbon. Would love to stay there again if I travel to Lisbon. Visit the Wine store next door and try some Ports. Go eat at Blend 4 doors down the road on you left.

Wonderful stay in a cozy Lisbon Apartment
Henriques place was perfect for our group of 6. As mentioned before the apt is a bit funky how its laid out but great for
privacy because each room is separated from one another. Also we loved the Living Room to gather before we hit the city. The apt is bright and comfortable. We didnt use the Kitchen to cook but did use the washing machine and the espresso maker. The apt is located close to restaurants, bars, metro, shopping and the waterfront. Henrique was easy to contact for questions and also provided us with a restaurant suggestions and a quide. Hard to leave after 5 days there because it felt like home

Great apartment in Barrio Alto
This apartment is right in the Barrio Alto district of Lisbon with lots of great restaurants and bars within a few minutes walking distance. You can also easily walk to other parts of the city, down to the waterfront, and one of the train stations is quite close.
This is a really big apartment, we were only two people so it was perhaps a bit TOO big but it would be perfect for a family visiting the city. I think I saw a review mention that there aren't windows in the back bedrooms (I may have misread) but there is a courtyard that the apartment surrounds on 3 sides, so the kitchen and two back bedrooms do get a good amount of natural light during the day and I imagine sitting out there in the spring would be nice.
Henrique is great and really organized and responsive. 5/5.

Spacious location in Bairro Alto - Good for families
We only spent 2 nights but with the 3 bedrooms we had room to spread out. We had everything we wanted in this location and would stay again. It is a little difficult to access at night due to road closures, so the only hiccup is trying to unload luggage and/or children from a taxi, etc. It could possibly use some updates too, as furniture is looking a bit worn and some appliances in the kitchen weren't working.

Lisbon and all it's charms!
This apartment was perfect for our group of five. We loved it's unique but charming layout and it's location was wonderful! A busy area but not noisy, walkable to many great locations and the wine shop right next door was way too convenient! Henrique couldn't have been a more gracious host. He provided great recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants and his communication was always prompt. If in Lisbon I highly recommend and would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you!

Location perfect for us
Comfortable, spacious apartment. Providing everything we required.
Very useful extras which made stay great. Washing up liquid, cleaning stuff(I don't want to do a lot but just to wipe round), soap for the washing machine. Everything worked . All very welcome.
Quiet bedrooms. Owner friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and charming property in the midst of all the action
We (an international group of travelers ranging in age from 40-73) stayed at this property both on our arrival in Portugal and on our departure for a total of 5 nights. As others have mentioned, it’s a vintage property with a rather unusual layout, which adds to its charm. It is also ideally situated, in a narrow street right off the main plaza in Bairro Alto where all the action is. It’s easily accessible by metro from the airport (exit at Baixa-Chiado toward Praça Luís de Camões). However, be prepared to lug your suitcases up multiple flights of stairs! Alternatively, book an Uber or avail yourself of the taxi services readily available as you exit the airport. We found the bedrooms comfortable, though the transom windows allow light to come in if others get up during the night so lighter sleepers should opt for the back bedroom, which is quieter and less exposed to traffic. We all thought small plug-in night lights in the hallways might be a good addition so that overhead lights wouldn’t need to be turned on when accessing the bathrooms at night. Another small issue is that the Internet does not reach the two back bedrooms. Perhaps this could be rectified by a wi-fi extender. One final point, also mentioned by others, is that several pieces of furniture in the common living space are showing wear, and should probably be recovered or replaced. We didn’t have the opportunity to meet the owner; however, he was easily accessible by phone and email and was quite forthcoming and accommodating, allowing us to leave our luggage by the front door past check-out time as we were taking the train to Porto in the later afternoon.

Great location and spacious accommodation
We enjoyed the location and the accessibility of this vintage property that was relatively easy to find (two of us arrived there by the nearby Metro station). The owner was available when needed and accommodating for any small issues (second keys, toilet paper replenishment, etc) that arose. Small things would add to the value of this rental, such as supplying a few days' worth of coffee and tea on arrival. The kitchen has a Keurig-style coffee maker, but no coffee pods were provided. There was only one mug for tea drinkers. None of the bedrooms has a window to the exterior of the building, so transom windows at the top of the interior walls provide ventilation or ambient light, which is only a problem if someone is a light sleeper and another guest turns on the hall lights in the middle of the night. The two bathrooms were adequate for four guests, but one is fairly small and has a bathtub shower. The other has a large walk-in shower and has been more recently remodeled. Overall this property is charming and serviceable, and we especially enjoyed the location, with many bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. The sound-insulated front windows effectively blocked any noise from the street.

In the heart of Barrio Alto
The apartment was large and comfortable, more than enough room for the four of us. The layout was "unusual" (some winding hallways between rooms), but that's part of the charm, as is the nice outdoor courtyard accessible from the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. The best part is the location in the heart of the Barrio Alto neighborhood, surrounded by lots of lively restaurants and bars, and an easy walk to many of the city's other attractions. Despite the location the bedrooms were quiet at night as they did not open on to the street. All in all I would be happy to stay here again on a future trip to Lisbon.

All was good. Furnishings are getting a bit old but all was there that was necessary for a fun stay! Easy to access but double check parking rates if you have a car as the closest car park get 15 Euro/8 hrs!
5.0 / 10.0
The owner was very helpful. We had a little trouble with the electricity, but it was no big deal. Took a little time to figure out how to get around the apartment, but it worked well for us. The location was wonderful, it was right around the corner from the wonderful fado bar we had been to five years before, and it was still the same funky place. We just had to make reservations this time. There was a great restaurant 20 steps from the door across the street. Close to transportation, and really almost anything else you needed. Great restaurant called Calcutta almost right next-door that we wish we tried sooner. We were joined after five days by our son and grandson, so they were four of us and it was plenty big enough that nobody got in anybody’s way. We have rented many apartments, we would say this is probably one of the better ones we have rented. There were things when we got there provided for us, so we didn’t have to rush out to a grocery and get basics. Not all apartment owners are that accommodating.
