About this house rental
This secret hideaway on Lake Oconee features five bedrooms and a plethora of entertaining areas including a game room, hot tub and firepit. When you arrive, the picket fences and array of roses feel like a cozy English garden escape. Upon entering, you'll be welcomed with cool colors and comfortable seating. A kitchen table for 6 is great for game night, as the home provides books and games for guests. A well appointed kitchen offers a large entertaining island with seating for 6 and a wet bar with wine cooler. The large walk-in pantry, double ovens, and an oversized range make cooking for large crowds a cinch. The living room has plush seating and features a large fireplace for cooler nights on the lake. Multiple access points give way to expansive porch areas, including a screened in porch with a dining table for 6, and a living room set for after dinner lounging. A gas grill on the open deck is available for all chefs to utilize and overlooks the beautiful lake. The outdoor deck features seating areas for 10 and plenty of space for gathering and dancing under the stars with family and friends. On the main floor of the house, you'll find the master suite with a king bed, his and her walk-in closets, as well as a large spa shower. Upstairs, you'll find 4 bedrooms. The hat bedroom features 2 queen beds. There's another bedroom with a queen size bed upstairs and the remaining two bedrooms feature king size beds. All bedrooms upstairs have access to 2 full bathrooms, as well as a living room area with sofas, recliners, and room to play or set up a crib. Above the garage, you'll find an in-law suite fully appointed with a queen size bed, kitchen, and dining and living room areas. One of the best features of this house is the expansive back yard for games of all sorts. For breakfast, lunch, dinner or cocktails, the dock is appointed with a patio set for four to utilize. At this lake retreat; relish the sun, make a splash, appreciate the sunset, reflect on life, and just be on lake time.

Bad rooms are beautiful. Leaving room and Kitchen was very nice.
The screen Portch and deck were Dirty and full of Spider web. Screen Portch furniture was dirty and cannot be use. We have to clean the Deck and Portch. Outside walls of the house need cleaning.
Master bad room need some furniture to seat. there was only 0ne towel per person per three days. no extra towels were provided.

The house very is very spacious! I loved the outdoor living areas. It has a huge screen porch with dining and seating areas. The back deck overlooking the lake is awesome. We used the fire pit area for a low country boil. Too hot for a fire unfortunately!

This property is amazing and perfect for a large group of people. We celebrated Christmas with the entire family. The house was nicely situated on the lake and we thoroughly enjoyed the views and the hot tub. I would highly recommend this house for a lake getaway.

We had 12 family members to celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday and Christmas on Friday. The house was very clean and well equipped. Plenty of space. The suite above the garage was great. We had a lovely holiday!

This property is breath taking on the lake and accommodated our bridal party comfortably! We were able to hang out the rest of the weekend and enjoy the view and the fire pit. I would love to come back and stay with a group of friends or family again!

We had all of our six grown children and their spouses so 14 in total! Was absolutely delightful place to enjoy our family. We swam off the dock, relaxed in the beautiful new hot tub and even had relay races in the backyard. Very clean. I would def rent there again!

We had a great stay! The home was just as it appears in the listing with many areas to relax and enjoy lake views.
The hot tub was well maintained.
There were just a couple of disappointing things. The location is quite rural so walking is not an option outside of the street the home is on. Also the local roads have not kept up with development, so if you plan to go out, check maps for traffic. An accident on the two lane bridge turned an 8 minute trip to dinner into an hour.

We had a wonderful girl's weekend celebrating a friend's birthday! The house was spacious and clean. The view from the hot tub looking to the fire pit and lake are just incredible. We never wanted to leave! Debbie was fabulous to work with. I can't wait to book again!

Wonderful property, furnished so comfortably. Would absolutely rent this house again.
Constructive criticism would be to improve the system to access entry into the house. We have rented many VRBO‘s with codes and keyless entries but have never had a problem until we encountered this system. Entry was impossible since we did not get the email with instructions and a link to another app. We did appreciate that the property manager promptly helped us with a workaround.

We enjoyed our stay, however, the trash compactor does not work, and you have to carry your trash out in your car to find a place to throw it away otherwise you are charged a hefty price. I would recommend this property figure that out on their own and not burden their guest with this!

Comforts of home in a beautiful setting. Lovely floor plan enables privacy and gathering space. Men loved the “Man Cave” over the garage. Property managers quickly responded to our questions and were helpful in adjusting to our travel issues. Highly recommend!

This property is absolutely beautiful and in such a great location. It was well stocked for all our cooking needs and there was plenty of space to spread out. The view is just incredible and we spent so much time on the screened in porch relaxing. We also spent a lot of time playing air hockey in the game room. Overall, such a great spot and I would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our week at Lovely Lake Escape! The home is spacious with a great layout for the bedrooms and ample storage for our personal belongings. The lake was great fun for all ages. We rented a pontoon boat from Oconee Wild Watersports which just added to the enjoyment of the lake. The back deck was wonderful and we had most family meals out there. The two things that could be improved: the Kitchen had the basics but could have been more complete (for instance there was no cookie sheet, spatulas, and the trash compactor would not open) and the side screened porch furniture was dirty with mildew stains. Everything else was very,very clean, so we just did not use the porch. Overall, it was a great week at a wonderful home.

Wonderful lake home
We totally enjoyed our week in this fabulous home. There was plenty of room for everyone including teens and kiddos. The kitchen was very well equipped for all the meals we prepared. We loved spending time on the dock and playing games in the grassy area.

Close to perfection, couple suggestions
3 families (6 adults, 8 kids aged 1-12) stayed here at the beginning of June. The property and house was beautiful, quiet, amazing sunset view. It was very comfortable with more than enough space and beds. We actually felt like we didn’t even utilize all the rooms and space, so plenty of room.
The big grass yard was an amazing bonus for a lakehouse. We had badminton, volleyball, and other yard games set up throughout our stay. It’s hard to tell from listing, but in addition to the dock is a small “beach” area that was good for the babies to splash around in.
We rented a boat one day from one of the many nearby marinas and rode to the big jumping rock and had lunch at the Ritz. It was a perfect day and kids had a blast.
Communication with the property manager was also friendly flyer and prompt. Information and instructions were clear and simple to follow!
*Here are the suggestions we all have for the property managers/ owners to accommodate future renters:
The kitchen was minimally stocked. For a house that sleeps 14, we only had about 4 coffee mugs, a couple large serving dishes, a couple Tupperware, and mostly glasses vs kid- friendly cups. So I highly suggest stocking up in the kitchen.
Also, since their is no trash service at the house we had nowhere to store full trash bags. With our large group we would fill up 2-3 trash bags a day. We didn’t want to leave them outside, so we just had to keep them in a corner of the entryway. Maybe an outdoor bin would be helpful until the renters can make a trash run.
Other than those two things, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to get away. We highly recommend this house for a large crowd!
