Cottage is 3 bedrooms (plus a queen sleeper sofa in livingroom ) & 2 bathrooms and located three streets away from beach access with parking! Minutes away from the sound, multi-use trail that runs along Bay Drive, and public gazebo dock that's perfect for watching sunsets. Cottage is in pristine condition.

Our family stayed here for Labor Day weekend and we had an amazing time! Everything was clean and working perfectly. The beach chairs and umbrella in the storage area definitely came in handy. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will be sure to return.

We had a great time! The home was the perfect size with everything and beyond that we needed. Included was plenty of information about the area and convenient items for the beach. Located a walk to the beach or the sound and near many places to eat, shop and site see. The neighborhood was quiet and very family friendly. The hosts were so accommodating and replied almost instantly when we had a question. We would definitely stay here again. OBX was amazing!

The place is amazing. Super clean and super spacious. Thing only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't stay longer! You are centrally located to so much. The owners are very responsive when asked questions and are very knowledgeable about the area. Really hoping to come back in the years to come.

My husband, sister-in-law and her husband and I stayed for the week. The first time I stayed at this rental, it was with my son. Both times were wonderful. The owners take very nice care and f this rental and we greatly appreciated getting in a little early after our long drive from Pittsburgh to get there. The house’s location is perfect for day trips to the beach and to access great restaurants! Thank you…we’ll be back for many years to come!

It was Awesome,on a scale of to 1-10 you get a 11,last house we rented on the Gulf Shores of Alabama got a 5 1/2 for cleaness in august of this year.

The property was in a great location between the beach and the sound and we loved having bikes and beach chairs to use during our stay. The only odd thing was having to put (provided) sheets on the beds ourselves when we got there. Not a deal breaker, just something we hadn’t encountered at a rental before.

This house was amazing. Perfect for our group. The house and neighborhood was beautiful and our teens really enjoyed the riding the bikes to the sound and seeing the sunset . We loved having the decks to sit out on as well. The location was perfect for us. Close to everything including the Avalon Pier and a huge Target. Great weekend !

My adult son and I took our first trip to the Outer Banks and selected this property to stay at versus picking a hotel. We absolutely loved the home, which was very clean, organized, has a fully stocked kitchen, two floors with decks and complimentary recreational items (I.e. cornhole, bikes, beach chairs, etc…). Also, access to the beach with lots of parking is less than a mile away! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to return in the upcoming years… so fun! Also, we really appreciated the book with suggestions on what’re to eat, visit and enjoy ice cream. Thank you!

This home was perfectly located in Kill Devil Hills, just a short commute to Nags Head where our other family members had booked a home. We were bummed we couldn't stay with everyone else at first- until we found this amazingly clean and welcoming home. It is exactly like the photos posted. The hosts were very responsive with answers to our questions as well. If we ever make it back to the OBX, we know where we are staying!

We rented this property because it had high scores for cleanliness and positive reviews, and I'm glad we did! It was exactly as advertised. There are two nice-sized bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs on the living room level. The kitchen is a great size, an open concept, and well-stocked with anything you would need to prepare meals. The bicycles were a great addition, and we loved riding them down to the marsh in the evenings. The house is conveniently located to just about anything you'd want to visit in the Outer Banks, and I'd be happy to stay here again. Thank you for hosting me and my family!

We were pleasantly surprised that the cottage was very clean very well stocked and very well decorated. The cottage was close enough to the sound that we were able to walk down and view the spectacular sunsets. The chairs on the deck were wonderful for sitting out in the morning in the sunshine drinking coffee and just visiting. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to any friends looking for a place to stay.

Fab vacation. All round an amazing stay! The only minor stickler was that there was no kettle. We are tea drinkers so it would have been handy (we used a pan so no big deal). Visited the beach everyday and the Wright Museum which was fascinating. We hope to visit OBX next summer. Thank you.

What a wonderful rental for the holiday weekend! Everything was as pictured and promised in the listing. Great street with the sound side being so close and picture perfect! No issues with temperature in the house (and it was HOT this weekend). Nice breeze on both balcony’s and so many places to eat/visit nearby. We will book again. We loved everything about our stay in Kill Devil Hills. The On The Mapp property was perfect for our family. The nearby beach access was so easy and accessible. Everyone enjoyed a morning walk on the Sound side as well. The property afforded us the best of both worlds. It was warm and inviting and very quiet, calm, cozy, and relaxing. We were all able to truly kick back and relax for the week. Thank you so much!
