Stroll five minutes to peruse the creative stalls of Salamanca Market, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby to explore.
Hampden Manor evokes the same old-world charm as its location—Battery Point. A grand entrance highlights an elegant arched doorway, intricate crown moulding and timeless decor, welcoming you inside. Two living areas offer ample space to come together or spread out, with TVs and leather lounges in both. Original period features and tasteful collectibles throughout add to the property’s allure. Cook meals in the bright, white kitchen with ample bench space and all the essentials. A formal dining area seats 10 for meals at home, while a private courtyard is equipped with a BBQ and space to dine alfresco.

12 guests are accommodated across six well-appointed bedrooms, offering a variety of sleeping arrangements to suit a range of groups. Bedroom one boasts a luxurious king bed, while bedrooms two, three and four each feature a cosy queen. Bedrooms five and six are each furnished with two single beds, ensuring comfort and flexibility for families. We had a brilliant stay at Hampden Manor. With 5 adults and 2 children we were very comfortable in a luxurious home. We could’ve easily fit another 5 people in the huge house. The beds were very comfortable and the home had everything we could ever need. Fantastic location with a short walk to Salamanca markets. Convenient off street parking for two cars. We will stay again!

A group of 11 of us stayed for four days and we could have stayed for 4 weeks! The house was perfect for us with plenty of room to sleep everyone comfortably. The house is clean and well maintained and all communication with the host has been speedy and most helpful. Now, about the location - WOW! If you want to experience all that Hobart offers, Battery Point is the place to do it from. The house is walking distance to so many amazing sights and experiences so we rarely needed to order Ubers. We all loved our time here and we will all be back, for sure. Thanks for such an awesome little get away, we couldn't have asked for more.

The upstairs bedrooms were very hot even with air conditioning in 2 of the 3 rooms. I understand that the weather was hotter than usual. The outside area could do with a good tidy-up. The wooden bench seats in some parts are very worn. A great central location enabled us to walk to lots of places, especially the harbour area. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend Hampden Manor to family and friends. Thank you🌸

Stayed at the house with 2 families & loved it. Enough room for everyone & the kitchen leading out to the courtyard was lovely. Bonus having the 2 car parking spots onsite. Short walk to great parks & Salamanca & restaurants/waterfront. The house had all the basics we needed & was clean & homely. Only issue was we didn’t have wifi. Would stay there again.

Lovely location and well appointed home only thing we’d commented on was no non stick fry pan for breakfast eggs, egg cups for hard boil girls and would have been good to have foil and cling film but overall we loved the place , beds and linen big plus , clean bathrooms and close to walk in . It was the second time for one of our group hence the booking 👍🌟

We were a family of 6 adults and two infants, the 6 bedrooms were beautifully presented and all commented on nice linen. Fabulous location and easy to walk everywhere even with a double pusher. We were here in the middle of winter and did not feel cold, Matt the owner was very helpful with parking earlier and leaving later, we could thoroughly recommend for larger groups as also has plenty of cutlery, plates etc

As far as short-term rentals go this one is up there for comfort, charm and everything you want from a home. It truly is a haven to come back to after every day trip around the beautiful city of Hobart. The bedrooms and living spaces are sizeable and the house easily accommodates a large group. The decor and quality touches around the place made us feel like valued guests. A lot of love went into this house and it was a pleasure to stay here.

We had 12 adults staying in this property and the configuration was just perfect. Enough room for all of us. The decor and presentation was spot on. We had a very enjoyable trip and it was a great central location as we didn't have a car. Fantastic time was had by all and I would recommend this accommodation to anyone who is travelling with a large group. JUST PERFECT!!!

We were a group of six women who came from around Australia for a girls weekend. We were very impressed with Hampden House. It was close to everything that we needed. The house itself was spotlessly clean. We were there for the coldest weekend in Hobart for the year and whilst initially cold after a few hours the house was nice and warm - we just had to remember to keep going around and turning on the buttons which were timed. Beds were very comfy and appreciated extra bedding for the winter nights. Everything that we could have needed in the kitchen to stay in and make up platters for one night. Would recommend staying here to others.
