About this house rental
No 4 Silvershells Bungalow is a great property which is located in the heart of the town. The bungalow is in a quite road just of the main road into Port Isaac, you can walk into the harbour within a few minutes. From the front garden and front room the sea is very visible and this is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset. The back garden is quite large with a grassed area. Dogs are welcome. Port Isaac is an historic Fishing Village set on the beautiful coast of Cornwall. The property is within easy walking distance of Port Isaac harbour and easy driving distance of beaches like Polzeath and Rock. You can easily catch the ferry from Rock to Padstow. Tintagel Castle and Boscastle are in the opposite direction with a range of local shops and places to explore. The bedrooms comprise of one king bedroom and bedroom 2 & 3 have double beds. Bedroom 4 is a single bed with another pull out single bed. Please note that bedroom three is off the lounge/dining area in the conservatory area and bedroom 4 is in the conservatory area. These rooms are part conservatory/walls. Pets are welcome and there is a £35 charge for each pet.

I appreciate the property is for sale but it does need updating. Great location. Good garden but patio needs attention as sharp fragment of stone everywhere.

The weather for the week was outstanding for September, the availability of off road parking was a god send for the area as is was quite busy, checking in was very easy, the property was clean.
A few areas could do with a little attention, non of this affected our stay and would not hesitate from staying here again.

Perfect break
Stayed with my husband and 2 grown up sons and 2 dogs. House very clean, welcome pack and lots of space. Garden is large and very sunny aspect.
Main bedroom was perfect but 2nd bedroom had no windows unless you opened door to conservatory, but then it was too hot. 3rd bedroom was another conservatory, but was extremely hot and no blinds on roof, so very light at 4.30am We did have exceptional weather which obviously added to the heat! These aren’t complaints, just comments ! Location is excellent, shortcuts down the lane for easy access to the village and gentle bit longer walk back up to house via coastal path and New Road. Co-op across road has everything you need, staff very friendly and we even had Amazon delivery to the store.
Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic location
The location, comfy beds and huge lounge with sea glimpses really make this property a great stay along with 1 (or 2 if small) cars parking on the drive. It’s a two minute walk to the co-op and 10 minutes down hill into port Isaac.
There are issues with the house that have been mentioned before so hopefully if this is passed on to the owners they will address as it’s a shame these easily rectified things are letting the property down. The bathroom and toilet carpets are in a disgusting state. They need to be replaced with vinyl or similar as very unhygienic. The pots are all burnt so cannot be used (I did try) so need replacing and there are no baking trays. Underneath the sofa had not been cleaned in some time we saw when retrieving my granddaughter’s toys from under it. The property folder needs updating as there is no tumble dryer or dishwasher. Finally the garden is great but there is a hole in the fence that’s the dogs can get out from.
These are all things that have been pointed out with previous reviews and are simple fixes 🤗. We loved our stay here.

We loved our stay at Mor Gwyns! It’s a beautiful house with a big beautiful yard located on a very nice street with just a six minute walk to the Port Isaac fishing village. There is parking and everything you need and a nearby co op store for your convenience. I didn’t want to leave, and I hope to be able to return.

The bungalow was lovely when we got there, there was one small problem that there was no sheets on the beds or towels but I rang the building manager and they came straight out and sorted it while we were at dinner. They did leave us tea but no milk and dishwasher tablets when there is no dishwasher?
All together the bungalow is well situated and warm and cosy. Seagulls can wake you up a bit early but that's being by the coast.
Would recommend as we all had a great stay with a great pub I the village and a coop 2 minute walk away.

Great location
As other reviews have said, the property is dated and could use some updating/refurbishment. That being said, the location was fantastic and the sofa was very comfortable and great for relaxing after a tiring day of surfing, walking, etc.

Well situated in easy walking distance of Port Isaac shops etc. Well equipped kitchen and a lovely garden to sit out in. Comfortable beds.

Perfect bungalow for dog owners.. nothing too fancy and carpets/bathroom in need of updating but when you've got the dogs, it means you dont worry! Beautiful location in quiet road, secure back garden and only a short walk to the bays.
Attentive owners who left a lovely welcome hamper.. Prosecco was gratefully received on arrival!! Thank you!

The house is incredibly dated - there is carpet in the bathroom & toilet, which is very unhygienic, and the main bedroom smells very musty (even keeping the windows open every day didnt help). Definitely bring something to wear on your feet around the house - I didnt want to walk around barefoot (especially in the bathroom) without something on my feet.
Amenities provided were minimal (insufficient toilet paper & washing up liquid, no spare bin bags, and no hand soap - we're in a pandemic, I would expect to be able to wash my hands on arrival).
There is also no recycling scheme - the recycling bins had been removed from the house. We left it all separate in the kitchen, in the hope that the cleaners would do something with it.
Overall, the place is ok - especially given the price. But if I were the owner, I'd close the house down for a few weeks and make some simple cheap improvements, and rent it out for more.
The house is in a great location (but Port Isaac is so small that I dont think anywhere could be a bad location in the town).

The bungalow is in a lovely location with sea views and in a quiet road. There is only enough parking for one car and you have to try and find parking in the street for other cars, and this can be difficult. The bungalow itself could do with updating and some of the information with regards to amenities are incorrect and need updating on paperwork at the property and online, as there is no dishwasher or tumble drier, also rubbish is collected on a Tuesday not Monday as stated in paperwork. Port Isaac is very hilly and the bungalow is at the very top, but you can get a shuttle car down to the port for £2 per person

The good stuff, excellent location about 400m from Port Issac bustle, good size master bedroom, excellent large lounge diner, small mahaneable kitchen, large lawned rear garden, excellent sea views and saw two great sunsets. Downside, property is tired, plumbing noisy, windows need replacing, noisiest washing machine in Europe, pans burnt so difficult to do fried breakfast. Would we stay here again, yes, good value, but could be so much beter woth a bit of freshening up

Port Isaacs is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. The bungalow was a bit dated but exceptionally clean and spacious, as the weather was glorious we spent most of our week out and about and only really slept at the bungalow. I would highly recommend this area and rental, I will definitely be going back.

Time away
From the time I got the keys to the time I left everything was there for me. A nice gift was also there as a thank you. I needed nothing while there as everything was there.
