Nine of us met here to spend some quality time with our granddaughter before her first day at the Coast Guard Academy. It was very relaxing but also very close for a day trip to Boston. We also enjoyed the town of Mystic. The house accommodated us. One child did sleep on an air mattress. The bedroom connected to the upstairs bathroom and master bedroom was a little awkward but not to many places have the number of beds we needed. We made it work for us.

Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views, great location. Saw several submarines pass by. Owner responsive to questions.

The house was great, we had a wonderful time!

Good place overall! Just know that the checkin instructions were missing some information. We had some Ubers drop folks off but Ubers can only be on the street. They can’t pull in to driveway to drop off! Other than that we had a wonderful stay. Nice quiet neighborhood.

Our family of 5 adults and 2 kids (3 & 6 yrs) had a wonderful stay over the Christmas week. The home is amazing - lots of windows looking out on the Thames River, 4 bedrooms as described, a well equipped kitchen, and a very large and comfortable open concept dining area & family room. The views are stunning, and the occasional train or boat going by was always fun to watch. There's also lots to explore in the area including a submarine museum in walking distance, and lots of amenities & restaurants within minutes by car. George was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The entry & exit procedures were easy and automatic. We would definitely recommend this VRBO home!

The house was beautiful fit all 12 people. The service from owner was outstanding. We had a question about how to work the tv and the owner came right in and showed us how to watch what we were trying to watch. The view is just amazing and waking up from the master bedroom and looking out to the water and the sunrise was just incredible. Very nice stay definitely would recommend to anyone.

We spent 3 nights at this lovely house on the river. Plenty of space for multiple families to be together and have their own space. Well stocked with everything we needed. Owner was very quick to respond to a question during our stay. Highly recommend.

Perfect! Our stay was wonderful. The owner is incredibly attentive and nearby. This house was perfect for a group of 7 with 2 kids in town for a wedding. Plenty of space and we even saw two submarines! The train is loud but you get used to it.
The view is pretty and the amenities are great. Hard not to stay outside all day!
Definitely a hidden gem in the area!

We can’t wait to stay again! It was so quiet, even with the other unit downstairs which is mentioned in the description, and the two or three times the train went by in 5 days(which honestly my kid thought was cool to watch it go by so closely). The individual rooms themselves were quiet from other parts of the house. We loved the pool table and all the space to spread out!
The VIEW is incredible!! It was hot when we stayed so we would pull the curtains in the evening to keep the sun from heating up the house. It would have been nice had the AC units been turned on before our arrival knowing we were checking in (it was 84 in the house when we arrived) but it cooled down quickly once we got the units running.
There were some oddities about the layout of the kitchen but it was large and sufficient. There was a cabinet over the fridge that wouldn’t stay closed (just needs a catch added and that would fix that issue).
The home was clean where it counted, but the ceilings are very high and had some thick cobwebs that needs to be cleaned out.
I was going to unpack into the dresser but it was a little rough, some drawers were broken and it just didn’t seem clean enough to put clothes in.
The house has so many amazing qualities and incredible potential! Overall we were very pleased with our stay and can’t wait to return!

This property is falling apart. It was probably once a 3.5 star house but is now 2 stars or less. Blinds are broken, floors scuffed and beaten up. Walls are all marked up with horrible patches. Everywhere you look it is in need of repair.
The 4pm checking, offering NO ability to even drop off bags is inconvenient to say the least. 2 hrs later than typical.
1 of the 4 bedrooms is only connect through another bedroom/bathroom making it useless to anyone but a family.
The worst part is the undisclosed fact that there is another rental under the main house. And maybe even a flat for the property manager. You are never alone and never feel private. It was impossible to have quit enjoyment of the property. As a result all we did was sleep there. Even that was unenjoyable.
Avoid this place.

The property was the perfect place to celebrate our son's CGA Grad week with family. We rented the upstairs and the downstairs and it was a perfect place for the entire family. Quiet, beautiful, and very spacious---gorgeous views! We could see the academy from across the water. The week could not have been any better. The place was perfect! The host was super.

We decided to change our annual getaway with Mom and stayed at this lovely home instead of an inn.
First floor bedroom was a plus for her - being she's almost 90 and didn't have to do the stairs.
Terrific views and we were lucky to see a submarine !
After we saw the train our first night, it was a must on the following 2 nights. Even though it was misting on the third. Luckily it was only between 8-9 pm.
Very spacious rooms, comfy beds, and a helpful, hard-working housekeeper.
Host was responsive when needed.
Could use a few more coffee mugs. ;)
Thanks for sharing this beautiful space !

It is perfect to use if visiting a sailor. 1 min from base. It was awesome to visit in a house not a hotel room.

This property was great for our family trip with 9 of us. The pool table and living room were a great hang out spot. The rooms were great for our stay and it was very clean. The only alarming thing was that a train came through the backyard right next to the house at a very early hour and woke of few us up. Other than that, this house was perfect for what we needed.

We had a wonderful time at this home. The views of the river and sunsets are spectacular. We enjoyed seeing the submarine go in and out to the ocean! We were hoping to use the jetted tub but unfortunately it was not working.I would stay here again

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was roomy, clean, comfortable, and cooking breakfast in the kitchen was a joy! We loved the brightness (even during the cloudy weather we had) of all the windows facing the river. Beds were very comfortable too. We will try to book again during the summer to enjoy the back deck, watching boats and submarines go by.

My wife and I stayed for 5 nights for our honeymoon. The house was way more than enough for just the two of us! The views are beautiful, especially during sunset. Trust me, any photo will do not it justice! Every morning there are trumpets playing at 8AM from the naval base, which could annoy light sleepers. We booked in late October, so we didn't use a/c to block out the noise, but that may help for summer guests. Owner is polite and made us aware of any issues, as well as responded promptly when we reached out with questions or concerns.

The pictures don't quite do justice to the amazing views! The home was gorgeous, clean and cozy. We were lucky enough to see a submarine go by, and loved just sitting on the patio watching wildlife. The train passes right in front of the house, which my family loved! Split AC units and TVs in every room. Great location, our family really enjoyed our stay.

Sincerely,
