Sehr guten Aufenthalt bei Maria‘s Guesthouse👍

Wir sind vom Sr. Paulo sehr gut Empfang worden und Gastfreundlichkeit könnte nicht besser sein. Haus mit sehr komfortablen Zimmern, jedes anders eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Sra Maria (Mutter von Sr. Paulo) hat uns ein sehr feines und sehr guten Frühstück aufbereitet da fehlt uns nichts. Wir haben uns wirklich sehr gut und fast wie zu Hause gefühlt. Wenn wir mal wieder in Beja sind und nach Unterkunft suchen, dann sehr gern hier reservieren.

Leider war unser Aufenthalt nur ein Nacht, wir müssten weiter fahren.

Ottima accoglienza da parte dei proprietari, parcheggio auto privato, colazione ricca che ancora adesso me la sogno. Posizione centrale, stanza con balconcino... Ottimo qualità prezzo. Consigliatissimo per chiunque!!

Maria’s Guesthouse was right in the center of the charming town of Beja. We arrived a few hours early, called a number on the front door, and Maria came within a few minutes to open her door. The rooms were clean, quite and very comfortable. We relaxed on the courtyard patio then walked around to do some shopping. She and her son Paulo were excellent host and gave us recommendations for dinner that evening at Dom Dinis which was a wonderful Portuguese meal of assorted grilled beef and pork. Awoke the next morning to a beautiful breakfast prepared by Maria and her staff. Best breakfast we had during our 10 days in Portugal!

Parking was limited but easily available a block from the entrance.

Absolutely perfect!

Best guesthouse I've been in so far. Totally clean, lovingly furnished and the breakfast was better than in a 5 star hotel. I would have preferred to stay.

Zeer centraal gelegen en smaakvol ingericht.

Goede locatie en centraal. De kamers, de gemeenschappelijke ruimtes en het terras waren zeer smaakvol en met veel aandacht ingericht. Zeer behulpzame gastheer.

Alles was prima in orde, misschien dat eerdere check in makkelijker was geweest.

Excellent!

The guesthouse is right in the centre and has comfortable bed, bathroom, garden and a parking. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is exceptional with fresh fruit and home made cakes.

Amazing charming and welcoming place

The location is great, the staff is amazing super welcoming. Staying here was exactly like being at home, the room (and the whole house actually) was so charming. Breakfast was impressive, not a single negative thing to point out.

Amazing stay in Beja historic district

Amazing breakfast prepared by Maria. Eggs, fruit platter, yogurt and cereal with berries, assortment of breads, coffee, cold cuts, cheeses, juices, etc. Definitely five star. All with a smile and care.

Nothing to mention. You will never be disappointed here.

Great location in the old town. Rooms were very comfortable especially the beds. Breakfast was exceptional! Maria and Paulo were wonderful. We would definitely return and would highly recommend a stay here.

A MUST IN BEJA

Maria's Guesthouse is the gem of Beja. Extremely clean, excellent breakfast and comfortable rooms. The location is central and parking close and very safe. Bedding and towels were high quality. The comfortable courtyard in the back is peaceful a great place to enjoy a glass of wine after a busy day. There is a set of narrow stairs so if you have mobility issues ask for a room on the ground floor. Thankyou Paulo we really enjoyed our stay.

A lovely place to stay - absolutely perfect in every way.

Very friendly and helpful owner & staff. Beautifully decorated and well equipped rooms. Excellent location for access to the city, yet still quiet. Amazing breakfast. Couldn't fault it at all.

Superb

The host Paulo replied to my questions before arrival promptly and was very helpful. The breakfast was substantial and very tasty, especially the homemade jam. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

The only thing that wasn’t clear in the room details when booking was that the coffee making facilities weren’t in the bedroom. But this was a minor thing and didn’t spoil our stay.

Warm reception, surprise in Beja. To return

The decoration is superb. The staff, paticularly Dina and Bruna, treated us like special guests. Paulo insisted that we should feel at home, and we did it. Breakfast superb

Would definitely recommend for a night or two.

breakfast was amazing. Much more food than we could have possibly eaten. Staff were very kind and helpful. A lovely guesthouse with a great location.

Found that it was a little expensive. For a small town like Beja in the off-season it was quite highly priced.

The hotel is exceptionally clean, cozy and full of quite little antique things which I explored with great pleasure every day. Each room has its own story and it makes this place even more special. The owner is very nice and kind, you can see how much he loves his hotel from very first step in the house.

It was calm and relaxed

The place was very cute and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, the rooms were cozy and warm. Everything was very historic, the city itself was quite historic. The guesthouse is maintained by a women who was very friendly and helpful. The staff was very friendly.

The only problem that I faced was with the breakfast, as I am a vegetarian who don’t even eat eggs, so it was a bit difficult for them to serve me with more things and I had limited or no options. But they tried there best to serve me.

A charming homey place in the middle of everything run by a delightful, helpful and clever staff.

The staff were all very friendly, helpful and gracious. The place was decorated with charm and love. The location was in the center of everything. The breakfast was excellent.

Our experience of staying at Maria's guesthouse was positive. We were made to feel very comfortable. We had parking for our car and an excellent breakfast each morning. The room was clean and comforable and we had time to sit in the lovely garden.

Superlatives are not coming near to what I all want to say.

-This is the gem to discover in Beja and surroundings. -A most warm welcome. Thank you Paulo and Maria's (three of them) -It is like visiting your best friends. A minha casa é a sua casa ;-) -Perfect room with special touch and a great bed. -The breakfast...no words for!! Home made, fresh, abundant...and served with a smile.. -They even have a place to park your car -Central location -Nice cosy inside with living room, beautiful artifacts, kitchen with fridge filled with cool drinks and snacks. Complete bar,... -Nice small garden to chill.

We booked just one night. A mistake we won't make twice. ;-)

This is a fantastic place to stay.

The hotel is in a charming location with a super-friendly family and staff attending to you. The breakfast is an amazing array of different foods. We were welcomed by the host when we arrived and he gave us a tour of the property which has so much character.

I cannot fault anything.
