About this cabin rental

Our Red Roof log cabin is in a secluded wooded area at Raystown Lake. The lake is within walking distance or a short drive down Parks Road. There are many trails on the property that are nice to hike or to see the deer and other wildlife in the woods. There is also plenty of room for your boat, and boat access is located within 4 miles from Snyder Run Access Area or 7.5 miles from Seven Points Marina. The cabin has most of the comforts of home, including TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, stove, microwave, and a gas fireplace.

The cabin boasts an open floor plan consisting of a living room, kitchen, dining area and powder room on the upper level. The lower level has two bedrooms. The first has a queen bed and a set of twin bunk beds; the second has a queen bed. A full bathroom with a shower is in a location convenient to both bedrooms. The front porch has comfortable furniture so you can watch the kids roast their marshmallows in the fire pit or just relax with a cool drink. There is a deck off of the living room for you to enjoy a meal or relax and watch the wildlife roam through the woods.

My family (including 3 kids 6 and under) had the most relaxing weekend stay here! The cabin (more like a well stocked homey house) has all the kitchen items needed for full meals, the internet worked perfectly and the TV had this neat sign in (you choose your check out date and can log in to your own hulu/netflix/prime etc). We were nestled in the woods but only about 1/2 mile from a great access area at the lake. This was also the first time we could take our 10 year old dog with us on a trip and he loved it there! We are hoping to go back again next year- but to stay longer than 2 nights!

The cabin was perfect for our annual girlfriends get away. The location was perfect to get to hiking trails and to the water. The host was so kind to answer all of pur questions. The cabin was exactly as described. We enjoyed our stay very much. Looking forward to coming back.

The cabin was ok- it was not very clean at all, and the one bathroom we could not use because the toilet was perpetually clogged (not by us). I am not sure if we would rent again for that cost.

My brother and I stayed in this cabin for his birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is in a perfect setting/location. It is perfectly maintained and stocked for a relaxing getaway. I would highly recommend the cabin and hope to return in the future.

Peaceful and quiet. Can watch wildlife from anywhere on the property. Perfect getaway for rest and relaxation. Dehumidifier works great-had to empty it daily. No dampness or mustiness. Check all doors (including bedrooms) to make sure they are locked once you arrive.

The property was great. Way better than what the pictures show you. It’s not too close to other residents Amd completely shaded everywhere by the trees so even on the hottest days can be a lot cooler. Had all my cooking needs amd more. Wasn’t expecting them to have 2-3 crockpots or any at all so I brought two of mine but didn’t need to cuz they already had them

This cabin's bedrooms were in the basement with windows that had AC unit in but did not open for fresh air. The doors had no screens so could not leave open for additional light or air. Plus, there was a dehumidifier that we had to empty numerous times. This environment was not pleasant for my allergies (damp and past moldiness) In the future we will not use VRBO

This property was exactly as describe. Place was very clean and in a very nice location. It was equipped with everything a family needs for a comfortable stay. Had both a gas and charcoal grill. Did have to bring our own sheets and towels, which wasn't a major deal. We will rent this cabin next year.l

We had a nice weekend in this rental cabin. Very clean and fit our needs. Bathrooms are a bit small which was fine for a short stay. Only issues we saw was the balcony railing needs to be replaced. We would recommend this property!

Rented this cabin many times 20 years ago when it was new. Not quite maintained like it used to be. Beds are not big enough for 2 adults. Kind of noisy with the AC units and dehumidifiers running.

When coming to the property it was just breathtaking with the view of the cabin l, being near the woods, and the interior that looks handcrafted. There was more than enough room for 8 people to stay and there were plenty of places to to hangout. The location is roughly a mile or so from the water that has a little beach to go and relax at. I would recommend this cabin to anyone I talk with and would certainly go back again.

My wife and I stayed with my cousin and his wife for a wedding at Raystown Lake. The cabin was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the amenities were as advertised. I’ll stay here again the next time I’m in the area. Great cabin!

Only thing I can complain about was the boat parking. No one said park near dumpster. Very hard to turn around not knowing this. Very nice cabin though. Privacy was awesome!
