About this house rental
Beautiful views and comfort await you! Enjoy the home away from home experience, luxury camping at its finest! Woods in the back yard! We’re very near Trough Creek State park, Lake Raystown & Resort, Juniata College, East Broad top Railroad, state game lands & surrounding areas with many sightseeing attractions of things to see and do! We are a great central location where it’s quick, easy n convenient to get to many areas and also have many conveniences nearby! Both vacation & getaway fun located here! :)
The space
We create the atmosphere, you create the memories! There is a very large parking lot for trucks, boats n trailers, and additional parking, the double bay garage can also be used for cars n SUV's for convenient parking and unloading. Back deck w/ propane fire pit, very comfy outdoor furniture to relax and take it all in especially in the pavilion w/ our beautiful landscaping which gives a resort feel! have butt buckets outside to smoke, use of picnic pavilion which has a portable fire pit so that you can make smores, roast hot dogs, and make mountain pies, propane grill, the fireplace is for candles only but also very nice, comfortable and cozy! Inside full kitchen upstairs w/everything you need stove, fridge w/ ice machine and water, microwave, dish washer, coffee pot! Dimmer switches on most lights adds to the cozy atmosphere, all bedrooms have ceiling fan/light, Laundry room, Towels, blankets, pillows ( extra of all) luxury bedding included,, sleep comfy on double pillow top mattresses, soooo comfy! Central air and heat! The upstairs bathroom has an infinity shower which is on one side w/ a bench seat and a handheld shower sprayer on the other side, to give the spa feel! We have 5 beds, 3 bedrooms, but the other spaces are private sections so it’s like 5 rooms and very versatile spaces which can be used in more than one way to accommodate your reservation! Wifi guest use, desk area, DVD player w/ many movies to choose from both upstairs and downstairs in hang out areas, smart TV’s for streaming, a 60 game arcade game w/ free play, cozy, comfy, clean, n relaxing atmosphere!

We have a stream, a pond, a picnic pavilion, a large picnic table w/ propane grill in back deck area! We accommodate up to 8 ppl and guests just split the cost, we are open all year round so PERFECT for any time of year! We allow small camp fires in the portable fire pit seating area, firewood may be purchased by you for a small camp fire a minute away, YOU WILL LOVE THE BACKYARD!There are stores not far to pick things up, if you prefer and some very nearby for quick need necessities! If you don't want to cook, we have a Grab and go store w/ gas pumps specialty coffee which offers food, snacks, etc! Fill up your gas tanks for your boat and vehicle right there also so u dont have spend more time and money traveling for it! Also the Cassville Country Store, convenience stores and sit down restaurant w/ ice cream, subs and hoagies hot or cold or order for take out as well, so very nice and convenient esp. after a long travel day, it’s so close we have menus at our vacation home! We also ask that upon departure that you leave the vacation home as nice as it was when you arrived for others to enjoy, thank u! :)

We love the rental it’s Beautiful & clean. Close to our family at SugarRun campground where we spent a lot of out time. Enjoyed a fun weekend on the lake.

We were very impressed with this property! It was so clean and comfortable. The beds were super comfy and the house had everything we could have asked for!! Susan was a great host and had all of the extra little things that made our stay at the property above and beyond our expectations!! We will definitely go back!!

This house was beautiful and very spacious. House could use some sound proofing or dampening. House was beautiful and very clean but not good for a light sleeper like me.

Booked for 12 days, was very busy and didn't get to enjoy all the amenities. But coming back at the end of a very long day to a pristine, quiet house to unwind in was utterly amazing. The grounds were absolutely beautiful.

This home was beautiful in and out and equipped to entertain. We had a busy weekend planned with friend's camping nearby and boating on Raystown Lake. So we spent very little time in the house but it exceeded all expectations will definitely return!

Susan is an amazing hostess. Her home is beautiful and very comfortable. She has thought of everything, movies, games, and even a video arcade game. We had to leave early due to an emergency and Susan offered to come to the house and help us pack up so we could leave quickly. We were done packing at that point, but I thought it very kind of her. You will be sad to leave.

We had a great extended weekend with friends and family. The home was clean and had a lot for all to do. The only problem was we had so much planned we didn't get to enjoy all the perks.

We enjoyed our stay at Susan’s fine home. It was super clean and the beds were very comfortable. While there we made use of the washer and dryer, propane grill, dishwasher and stove- all worked well. Mostly we enjoyed the outdoors spaces which were really nice.

The house was clean and tidy. Kitchen was well furnished. We had everything we needed. The hostess met us and was very kind. We were tired though and would have preferred to let ourselves in and unpack without all the information.
We wished for a shower curtain and some bed side stands and lamps. (I enjoy reading in bed without getting up to turn off the light.)
All in all we had a good week of rest and relaxation.1

Large home near Raystown lake
This property was very nice!! The pictures you see on the site is exactly what you are getting. It was large enough for 4 adults and 2 children with plenty of room to spare. Very clean and well maintained property. Has everything you need and more for an enjoyable vacation! The only thing I will say is if you have a lower vehicle it might scrape going up into the garage although there is off site parking you can use.

I recently moved back to the area and am in the process of finding a new home and needed a place to stay short-term. Susan is the most hands on host I’ve ever experienced and very responsive. The entire home is pristine and absolutely gorgeous. Good luck trying to leave to enjoy any of the fun things that this area has to offer because you’re just gonna want to stay home. This is a staycation property and I was so sad to leave on checkout day. It just 100 percent feels like home. Thank you Susan for sharing your beautiful home with us and I can’t wait to come back.

Nice vacation home
We stayed for 6 nights. Nice home with many pluses. Some of the best features were the two car garage, a nice deck, big rooms, washer/dryer and good entertainment options. Having the 2nd bath on the lower level was a bit inconvenient, but workaable. Kitchen was furnished with all necessities. Important to note that all of your items will need to be carried up stairs to get them into the house...just FYI. The location was OK, but turned out to be not exactly what we were looking for (not the host's fault).

Everything about our experience renting this property exceeded my expectations!
The gracious host was very quick with follow up communication as soon as our trip was confirmed. The host showed she genuinely cared about making our rental experience the best possible.
The home was very clean and had everything you could possibly ask for in a rental property. The host was at the property to provide a tour of the property and all the amenities.
We had a great private, quiet, and stress free experience which was exactly what our busy lives needed.
I would definitely recommend this rental property to others and will definitely consider renting again if I find myself in need of a quick stress view getaway.
