Absolutely amazing stay. Thanks to Drew and Angela for making it memorable. The house is exactly as described and in a beautiful location. Very thoughtfully equipped and decorated. The harry potter nook and goodies were enjoyed thoroughly by the kids. Check in and out were extremely easy. Highly recommend.

This cabin had everything we needed and more for both a trail race headquarters and relaxing home pre/post event. Very comfortable living spaces with their own facilities, well stocked kitchen and many different activities from puzzles to BBQ area that left no stone unturned. Drew was very responsive and made everything from check in to check out easy. Looking forward to finding another opportunity to stay!

My family enjoyed a wonderful stay at the house. . The accomodations were great for my family- age ranges from 3 to 77. The kids loved the Harry Potter-themed reading nook! The owners left small wands for the children to take home,! A thoughtful touch that reflected the care the owners took to make a stay at the house special for us. We loved everything about the house and the location.

We had a great time! The kids loved playing in the snow in the back yard! Very convenient location!

Myself and adult children with partners enjoyed the home. Two living areas (kitchen/dining, and tv room) provided space for separate activities, and another space in a bedroom gave space out of the hubbub. The table was perfectly sized for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked with needed gear. The only down side to the accommodations I'd say is that the couch in the TV area was too small for the number of people (7) when all together, so that wasn't very comfortable, but overall a good stay.
It is located right next door to ski bowl west (short drive, one block-ish). It is separate from Government Camp, so it feels more secluded which I prefer, but close enough to drive and enjoy if desired. We did not find a great sledding hill nearby, but we didn't try hard either.

We really enjoy staying at this cabin. It’s close to everything from ski resorts to sno parks for sledding. There’s plenty of snow for making ice forts and snowmen right outside the door. Kid and pet friendly. Well stocked and clean. Would love to come back again next winter.

The home was conveniently located and perfect for our extended family gathering. There were lots of games to keep us entertained and plenty of space to gather or have alone time.

Our second time staying here and even though there was not much snow this year - we had a wonderful time! You're right across the highway from the small little community of Government Camp (shops, rental offices, restaurants, pubs etc). Andrew is very very responsive - one of the best hosts we've run into. House is dog friendly, easy walking and neighborhood is quiet. There was 6 adults and 2 small children in our group.

This is the 5th or 6th time we’ve stayed here. Every year there are new upgrades. We’ve always appreciated the location, size, and comfort of the house, but this year we were there for the storm that took out power to 200k people, including all of Government Camp, so now we appreciate the two gas fireplaces, lots of candles, and extra flashlights. Communication with the hosts was great. We will be back!

The property location is ideal, the floor plan allows for quiet spaces and gathering spaces. Our Harry Potter fan added another wand to her holiday treasures. Dining table is prefect for game time and family dinners.

We stayed as a family with 3 young children. The house was beautiful and well maintained. Everything we could need was supplied, I was happy to see the garage stocked with sleds and snowshoes. Our kids absolutely loved the Harry Potter nook. Resteraunts nearby were easily accesible even in the snow. The trails behind the neighborhood were awesome to trek through in fresh snow.

Spacious and accommodating for different families, really nice to have so many bathrooms, the kitchen was set up nicely, and stocked well, the lower part of the house was great for the young adults and teenagers, with a tv and their own bathroom, the loft is cute and cozy. I wish there was a hot tub and or a bathtub and a maybe more chairs or a couch in the dinning room, since that is the common area. But really a nice gathering area and spacious, with a place for coats and boots. The neighborhood is nice with a lot of walking trails and sledding options if there is snow. In the photo it appears the house is next to big pine trees, but they have been removed and a house is now there. I was looking forward to more pine trees and the neighborhood could use more trees between houses. The listing did say to go to instagram to see updated photos, but i did not see that. The options to take the dogs was great and the house and owners really accommodate them. Overall the place is really nice, it is newer and cleaner than most places we stay. We appreciate the opportunity to stay here.

Our family of 9 stayed for the long Thanksgiving weekend. The house was perfect. Clean, lovely and well appointed. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Our hosts were super responsive and offered lots of useful help along the way. The house itself is located a few hundred feet from the trails that access one of the ski areas. I can't tell you how fantastic it was to have this so close and to be able to walk our dog safely in these beautiful woods! It's not always easy to do in ski areas and we were very grateful for it.

The house was in a great location to access both ends of the SkiBowl Adventure Park. It was quick access to all the attractions. Check in was quick and easy.
We loved the spacious house; with all 10 of us and a dog we had plenty of room to visit and have space to ourselves if we wanted. The master suite was impressive with a great view of Mt Hood and the rest of the bedrooms were roomy and very comfortable. My 14yo, 6 ft, son took over the wizard nook as soon as he saw it and really enjoyed his own space.
The kitchen was well stocked and had plenty of room to cook for the 10 of us. The table was kinda tight for 10 but we made it work. We BBQd both days also which was nice on the hotter day. The house stayed pretty cool on it's own too; without AC I wasn't sure what to expect on a 85 degree day.
The small neighborhood was quite while we were there. It's a very nice area, secluded from the highway in the trees, even though you can hear some road noise and big trucks.
Overall, would recommend to big groups and will probably try it out this winter too.

Perfect house in Gov’y with all the amenities. My 8 and 10 year old boys were over the moon with the XBox and Wizard room. The master suite was huge and the grandparents loved their rooms+bathroom. The big dining room table was ideal for nightly games. Highly recommend!

We had friends and family of all ages. There was plenty of bedding, play pen for the baby, high chair, baby gate, sledding stuff, snow shoes, the view is directly at Mt. Hood. The floor plan is very split, giving lots of privacy. Kitchen is well supplied. Good hot water for everyone! Highly recommend!

The home felt like home from the minute we stepped inside. Spacious rooms, fabulous design from hooks and bench to put your outside clothing, to kitchen, bedrooms and bath. The Harry Potter room will be a favorite Christmas memory for our longtime Harry Potter fan.

We absolutely LOVED this mountain getaway! Home is so well laid out, clean, well-stocked, open concept, wonderful dining area, seating area and very handy entry with a large bench, coat hooks and trays for wet boots. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms roomy and clean. The owners are right on top of the rental and responded very quickly during the rental as well as changes we made prior to arriving. Even the neighbors were kind and friendly. Our trip was PERFECT!

This house was beautiful! And the location is perfect! We had so much snow and the house is stocked with sleds, snowshoes and everything needed for a winter vacation. It was great for kids with the wizard room, toys and space to run. We had 3 little ones with us and they all had a blast. The adults had fun too! The house was clean; however, it is a pet friendly home so there was some dog hair on the furniture. Andrew was great and was a very attentive host! He allowed an early check in and late check out which was so helpful with the kids. He let us know the morning we left that there was a power outage and kept us updated on the eta of a fix. I would highly recommend this house to anyone going to Mt Hood. It was a magical location for the kids first trip in the snow!

Excellent House
Andrew was incredibly responsive and accommodating to our request/inquiries. We had several families from our ski team stay for a race at Ski bowl. Andrew went out of his way to ensure a ski tuning table was set up for us. House was very clean and comfortable. Children will love the Harry Potter loft and wands. Comfortable beds and linens. Highly recommended!

Magical Winter Vacation
The home as everything the description stated. It was spacious, clean, and a great home to spend with family. The best part was it snowed every evening which led to a great outdoor wonderland. I would rent this home again!!

The attention to detail was so appreciated with this house. It was so well stocked also. Only drawback were the 3 mattresses we used... Otherwise the house was outstanding!!

The place was perfect for what we needed. As father of the groom, we were able to sponsor large breakfast dining experiences for the newlyweds and all their close friends. We would definitely come back and hope to enjoy the ski season using this great home as a base camp!

A Wonderful Vacation at Barlow Pines Lodge
One of the nicest vacations ever - very relaxing, nice property and location! Very convenient to many attractions - hiking, lakes, restaurants, Mt. Hood. Probably 10 - 20 minutes to most places. Hiking trails 200 yards away. Would definitely stay again! Very quiet, but convenient to main highway. Hosts were very communicative and responsive.

Perfect home for a small group!
What a great home! Two families had more than enough space.
Easily the most thought out rental we’ve ever stayed in. Everything we could have needed plus numerous touches that made our stay so relaxing and easy.
Book this one if going to govy or ski bowl.
Thanks!
