About this house rental
Same day booking check in is 4pm or two (2) hours after booking, whichever is later.
First floor -- living room with high ceilings eat-in kitchen and French doors to a small private patio.
Second floor - Two bedrooms are separated by a super small study with two separate doors to each of the bedrooms. One bedroom has access to this study.
Third Floor -- Two bedrooms one on each end of the hall. The front bedroom has two doors, one to the hall, one to the bathroom. The bathroom on this floor is in the middle of the floor with two doors, one to the front bathroom and one to the hall accessible for the back bedroom.
The house has central air and hardwood floors throughout.
We fell in love with this bright and airy corner town home's high ceilings, original details, and amazing desirable location.
We've aimed to furnish the entire house for a comfortable stay while maintaining this historical house's charm and details.
The beds are made with freshly laundered sheets, towels, and of course, cleaned for your stay.
We purchased this home after enjoying hosting a smaller house nearby that is my parents' primary home when they are in the United States. We hope you will enjoy your stay in this new house during your visit to Philadelphia.

The unit was fine with enough room for all of us although it could have been cleaner. The bathroom amenities were excellent.

Although brief, my family and I really enjoyed our stay at Sophie's place. Her house is not only pretty charming, with its old-fashioned vibe, but it's also quite central which made our walking around the city pretty easy. Sophie is also very responsive and kind. She provided several suggestions on where to go and eat and I really appreciated that. Highly recommended!

The house was just as advertised, clean, comfortable, historic, safe and provided a wonderful backdrop to our weekend in Philadelphia. We took the train up and was able to walk or uber everywhere in the city easily. Such a great time and would love to stay here again.

This house is in an amazing location, with many things within walking distance. The host was the most accommodating host we have ever had in all the years we have used VRBO. I would highly recommend this location for your next Philadelphia trip.

The house was just as listed and reviewed: spacious, well-appointed, four comfotable beds, and a fabulous location. We were able to walk or Uber easily and there were two garages to park our right on the same block. A gorgeous weekend weather made for the picture perfect stay!

Great space for our family to enjoy city sights! Parking garage was very close and reasonably priced. Overall a great value to be in a walkable part of the city.

My daughter got married in Love Park. We had five people stay in this lovely place. We finished up the cake there. The Brides got ready there. We napped there between the ceremony and reception. It was a perfect place for us to stay.

We enjoyed our time in Philadelphia. The unit met our needs. The host was very responsive. The only suggestion I would make is to do some updating although I do feel the price we paid was great.

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) loved staying here. This historic home is beautiful, well-appointed, in a great walkable location, and check-in/check-out was a breeze. I highly recommend it and would love to stay here again.

Our first work ladies getaway. We had a great time. First to the Flower show, then to the marketplace. Then we spent a fun evening laughing and playing games. The house was a very cool older home. Parking was easy in the garage right down the street. Would definitely recommend for a weekend away!

Sophie was wonderful with communication. The house is absolutely adorable and in a fantastic location. It was our first time visiting Philadelphia and we certainly lucked out. It has everything you need. I would definitely recommend this place for a family or group of friends.

Sophie was quick in responding and answering any questions. The space was perfect for our family to stay in and the location was great. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. Be prepared about parking your car(s). There is street parking if you can find it but it is limited and metered. There are two parking garages a minute walk up the block and the rates are different, so make sure to check out the rates. You can park overnight without using the meters from 10PM-8AM if you find a spot. We parked 2 of our cars in the parking garage and was able to manage street parking for the third car. Sophie was very helpful in providing this information to us after we asked about parking. We would stay again should we visit Philly.

Sophie was super nice and gave us some great restaurant recommendations in walking distance. The house had everything we needed, even some kids books for our 9mo old.

Great location for seeing the sights. If you are able to walk, many things are within walking distance. Communication was easy. There is a parking deck right down the street which is really the only option for parking so plan for a little extra expense for that.

Plenty of room for a family with small kids. Close to everything. On a one way street that is pretty quiet.

Fabulous Philadelphia Row Home
The Philadelphia row home was perfectly sized, clean, beautiful and comfortable. it is located on a quiet street within walking distance of the Schuykill River Trail, art museum, natural history museum, Rittenhouse Square, the 30th Street station all other Philadelphia sites that we wanted to visit.. Uber transportation was readily available for any distant destinations and when our group was too tired to continue walking..
Our host was kind and extremely responsive and helpful..

We were in town for a wedding and needed a place that would accommodate 8 people. This was the perfect place! The owner stocked it with a variety of coffee and teas plus snacks! She even asked what kind of creamer we liked and had it ready for us. The soaps and shampoos were very nice. After the wedding we had fun playing cards and hanging out in the cozy kitchen!

Wonderful central location and so comfortable!
We had such a comfortable stay: the house is clean, bright, well-appointed, and the beds were super duper comfy, too! We plan to return since we are often in town for work. Highly recommended!

I've always been a sucker for properties that appear "charming" and repurposed and most generally end up finding them shabby and disappointing. Such was the case with this property. While the location is fantastic and house was clean and well-supplied with the basic necessities, the "small private patio" was actually a 10 x 10 outdoor cell with dead bugs lying on the floor. We had a hell of a time getting into the house as the lock on the front door only worked about half the time and sometimes wouldn't allow the key to turn at all unless you struggled with it for 10 or 12 tries. The second floor bathroom's toilet paper dispenser was missing and there was no toilet paper at all in the bathroom. The rug in the living room was so dingy and spotted it looked like a dead body had once been rolled up in it and carted away. And "bright and airy?" No. And the beds: like slabs of concrete with thin foam pads on top.
Maybe my standards are too high, but unless you're happy with just the most basic of comforts, you might want to look elsewhere.

Lovely home - great location
We had a lovely stay. The host was so thoughtful and accommodating. The home is a wonderful old building that has been nicely updated. So it has a great feel. The host left small touches like tea and coffee and even a few spices. She could not have been more flexible in terms of timing and working with our schedule. And the location was perfect for touring around town. We had a great time.
