A Perfect Retreat at "Бор и Шишарка"

I had the pleasure of staying at "Бор и Шишарка" from December 1 to 3 last year, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations, and I cannot help but leave a perfect 10 rating for this cozy haven in Bulgaria. First and foremost, cleanliness is paramount for me, and "Бор и Шишарка" did not disappoint. The house was immaculate, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The heated floors on the first level were a heavenly touch, ensuring a warm and snug environment throughout our stay. The hosts went above and beyond in their preparations. The fireplace was not only present but thoughtfully set up and ready to go. We simply had to light it, and it became the heart of our evenings, adding an extra layer of warmth to the already cozy ambiance. The fully-furnished kitchen deserves special mention. It was equipped with everything one could possibly need, making meal preparation a breeze. The attention to detail was evident, and it made our stay feel like a home away from home. The spacious courtyard was a true highlight. From numerous seating areas to enjoy our coffee to the pool table that provided entertainment, every corner was thoughtfully designed. The barbecue setup, coupled with ample wood for the fire, made outdoor gatherings a joy. If I were to suggest any improvement, it would be the addition of a fixed brick barbecue in the pavilion. This small enhancement would add a touch of permanence to an already impressive outdoor space. In conclusion, "Бор и Шишарка" is a hidden gem in Bulgaria, perfect for both winter and summer getaways. The meticulous attention to detail, coupled with the warm hospitality of the hosts, created an unforgettable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this haven for anyone seeking a perfect retreat. My sincerest thanks to the hosts for making our stay truly exceptional.

Amazing house.

Everything was clean, the house is very spacious, the yard was amazing, there is a trampoline, monkey bars for the little ones, zip wire, barbeque, pool, even cats. The kitchen was beautiful. There is a washer dryer as well and a washing line.

No blackout blinds but they will fix that for future stays. We couldn't find a microwave, not sure if there was one.

I would recommend this house for its merits and its closeness to the town of Elena

The house is particularly spacious and clean. The inner garden is pretty big. The view is spectacular and the calmness around brings serenity. Gazing the starry skies at night is unique and humbling.

amazing four days of fun and relaxation in the "Elena balkan"

Probably the best guest house me and my friends have ever stayed in. The house is vast, the bedrooms are spacious and accommodating. The dining room is cozy and offers enough space for many people. The kitchen offers appliances and utensils for all your cooking needs. We used the barbecue several times and there were no issues at all. The Sauna is great and offers a great opportunity to relax for a bit. The patio is spacious and is a perfect place to relax if the weather allows it. We spend 4 amazing days relaxing, playing board games and having great barbecued food. The host is helpful and responsive. We did not have any communication issues whatsoever. Highly recommend the place for a nice getaway in the Elena region.

Awesome location with a good house. Will visit again in the summer.

The house is very big and comfortable. Kitchen is superb. The yard is big and with awesome view. There was an area with some toys that the kids loved. There was even a small sauna, which was nice.

Floors in the common areas are with stone, which I personally don't like. Stairs are too narrow for a big man. Only 3 chaise-longues for a house that can sleep 14-16 people.

The garden is very spacious - suitable for bbq and many activities for children.

The filtering system for the children swimming pool was either insufficient, or not working properly. The water was not clean.

The place is excellent for families with kids or bigger groups of friends. There is a lot to do around and in the house too - there is a huge garden, pool, bbq. Polya is an awesome host and great to communicate with. The facilities are convenient and nice with anything you may need during the stay. Highly recommend this place.

Great guesthouse! Hosts are kind and helpful, communication was easy. Nice facilities, there is everyting you need. The outdoor is amazing! Perfect place for kids with a lot of free space and fun amenities.
