Loved the interior! So aesthetic
The bathroom space was quite small

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very spacious rooms with comfortable beds. It was quiet (except for the trains but can’t do much about that)
Our toilet started leaking during our stay. We called, maintenance came up in literally ***minutes***, let the front desk know that we needed a new room and we were immediately moved. They offered to help us move and brought the new keys up. It was very efficient.

The young lady at the front desk when we checked in was delightful. Professional, quick, but friendly. Wish we could remember her name. The head valet young man that night was also amazing (also wish we could remember his name). They made our night much better as we'd been having a bad day.
The remodel of the building has really done the place justice, a great blend of old and new, very artfully done. The room was over all very nice, not huge but big enough to be cozy instead of cramped. The bed was just the right blend of firm but soft. The room had a good amount of plugs for our electronics. It was a nice touch to have a record player in the room along with a three record selection to choose from. TV was in the room but no obtrusive even with its large size. The lighting was nice. We felt it was bright enough during the evening while we were up enjoying the room for anything from reading to art. In the morning when we opened up the blinds the natural light was great too.
Coffee in the morning from the cafe Native Son in the lobby was fabulous! Cannot wait to go back and try more of their menu.
Would over all recommend.
Our neighbors for the night were a bit less than polite about how loud they were and as it is an older building for as much as it was remodeled there is only so much to be done for noise. Earplugs were thoughtfully provided, though.

Location, cleanliness, and the beauty of the hotel.

Restaurant in hotel
Valet only other than limited street parking, though $15/day not onerous.

Everything about this property was perfect- location and the accommodations. The staff was the best- very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
Not one thing

Everything is refurbished, clean and comfortable. Downtown next to lots of restaurants and the theater as well as things to do. Very nice
Parking is kinda hard, we got lucky and got front parking but they said the parking garage was behind the hotel on the corner which is kinda inconvenient

Modern en goed boutique hotel, leuke locatie met restaurantjes op loopafstand.
Logistiek was de parkeergarage niet snel te vinden.

Room has antique feeling but it actually quite futuristic. It has auto curtains. You slightly pull them towards direction you want and they close automatically. There is automatic lights in bathroom. A new TV with clean remote control.
Room is quite clean and there no any bad kind odor that many hotels have. Bathroom is almost as big as room itself.
Entrance to hotel is in one side of the building and parking is on building behind of other side. So it requires like 1 minute walk on some back alley.
We also can hear people who walk corridor. It wasn't often and that wasn't a big issue. And lastly there is train that travels at night. Sound of it wasn't loud and I think it was quiet but we didn't use to it and we woke up. Perhaps we are super sensitive.
4.5
noise level of train and upper level room from piping of water drainage during middle of night. no shower gel provided or enough towels for 3 guests in the rooms.

The location was perfect. Walking distance to downtown and all the services were great!
Could have been more self parking stalls. The valet staff showed no concern and couldn’t be bothered. Only gave three options, park across the street at the bank, find parking in the street or valet park.

Beautiful hotel, exceeded my expectations. Nice restaurants in hotel. Friendly and professional staff.

Very polite and welcoming staff made all the difference! I would definitely stay again. Rooms were unique and classy and my 7 year old developed a love for record players and now have his own.
would love if there was a pool.

Great place, great location, great staff, great room, modern, cozy, clean... facility was more than excellent! Checking in and out was easy; the guys there were extremely friendly and helpful, and it was easy to find a parking lot and a really great location on the main street. Did not expect such a great hotel & service in a relevantly smaller city like Merced.
Honestly, the food was terrible, and I do not recommend it. I did not know how it was even possible to eat a tasteless burger and a tasteless burrito at all! It's really hard to believe it is possible, but all the things I've tried had no taste, flavor, or spices. Still trying to figure out how can a burrito with bacon, potatoes, eggs, and a few other ingredients has literally NO taste at all. On top, I got the worst espresso in the world - it was so sour (like somebody put half a lemon in it) that I couldn't finish it.

I loved the details within the hotel, it reminds me of the Ahwahnee hotel in Yosemite but much better with Price and no cracked ceilings. Staff were very nice and the outdoor area was delightful.
I didn’t like the noise from the sign outside our room or the noise that was coming from somewhere. You can tell this room must have that issue for there were ear plugs already available in the room.
4.5
it’s a very clean property and it was very close to where I needed to get to. It was only like a seven minute walk both ways.
it didn’t have like little snacks or like a little snack store.
4.5
very clean and the sparkling water machine
I didn't like the staff that check me in. I gave her my credit card and she declined it because she assumed it was a Cashapp card. I told her it's a VISA with the signature but she said no we can't accept that. I would appreciate if she check with the manager before assuming. I was glad the person that check us out was able to use my original VISA card and not assuming it was a CASHApp card.

very charming, great aesthetics, very clean.
Windows weren’t soundproof, very noisy, The hotel’s solution was to provide foam earplugs on the night table (but only one set and there were two of us.🤷♀️. Their website stated that there was provided parking, but the parking was in a shared garage in which they only had a small amount of allotted free parking spots, and those were taken, so their solution was to suggest parking on the street or use their valet service; we opted for the valet at $15/night. And one more thing, they had plastic mattress covers under the bedding, I get that they want to protect the mattress, but it felt like we were sleeping on a baby’s bed.

Room was nice and spacious. Good water pressure, comfortable bed.
The room was dark and there wasn't a work surface (desk with outlets). I have lots of Zoom calls and it is too disruptive to use the lobby facilities.
4.5
Breakfast was over priced and marginal.
Paid for breakfast in the room rate but the breakfast allows was insufficient to cover a normal breakfast.
