About this house rental

This home built in 2019 is one of the most recognizable homes in Old Homosassa. Directly across from the well known and often photographed twin roosters on Mason Creek this home is located within private protected nature preserve and wetland management lands. It offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, laundry area, second floor deck and full game room. Just blocks from The Freezer, MacRae’s, WildSassa, Shelly’s Seafood & Fish Market, River Safaris, the famous Monkey Island, multiple boat ramps and Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park. You can spend your days snorkeling with manatees, scalloping, taking an air boat ride, enjoying the fishing and sun on a rental boat, enjoying amazing local fare, cooking up some fresh fish or seafood, walking the wildlife park or kayaking or SUPing the local channels and Homosassa River. A few minute drive offers Crumps, Margurita Grill, Seven Sisters Springs, Chassahowitzka River, Weeki Wachee Springs Water Park and Weeki Wachee Mermaid City, Crystal River, Fort Island Trail Beach, Kings Bay and many other fantastic experiences.

There is a long driveway that is able to park four or five cars or two pickups with boat trailers so long as backing in or out isn’t an issue.

We had an amazing time at Mason Creek! The location was amazing very close to all of our favorite places in Homosassa. The house was just as beautiful as the pictures. The hosts were very sweet and informational. We would definitely stay here again!

The location can’t be beat! Within a short walk of historical landmarks, restaurants and the water. The unit is well stocked with plenty of bath towels, linens and kitchen supplies. The beds were incredibly comfortable as well. We had a lot of fun in the game room which also has a big fan and kept the space cool! The owners are very welcoming and responsive! Overall a great trip made better by this great VRBO!

Nice 3-bedroom rental with great view of natural Florida--frogs, birds, Florida greenery-- at the back of house. Very close to Homosassa Springs attraction as well as eating and shopping spots. Comfortable spaces in house, outdoor dining on deck, well-stocked kitchen, pristine cleanliness, internet available. Host was easy to communicate with, and very responsive.

Second time staying, we enjoy the peacefulness of the property with close proximity to all the bars and restaurants! Well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds and the garage game room is a fun addition, especially when it’s raining. Safe and quiet environment with short drive to the Freeze and MacRae’s - Perfect place to stay in Homosassa!

This house is wonderful for a family vacation. Plenty of room and the bonus is the game room on the first level. We enjoyed being able to spend time watching the sports, playing the games and having our extended family visit while we were there. Perfect place to host a small family gathering. Host are very easy to coordinate the checkin. They communicate and respond to any request. We would definitely stay at this house again.

I would definitely recommend this property it was great for my family and my fur babies I would definitely stay again. The property had everything that you needed Love the location easy to get anywhere you needed to go nice quiet neighborhood. Places to eat in the neighborhood also great and only took a few minutes to get there.

Spent three nights here and the house was very clean and in a great area of Old Homosassa. We had a blast checking out the area with the highlight being the manatees in the State park.

We have visited Homosassa several times and love going there. We’ve seen this property before and finally got to stay there, and it exceeded out expectations. As in the photos the property is very modern and the interior is very spacious. The interior has new fixture’s and the property has all of the amenities you need for your stay. Also, this property is very close to the places that we like to visit while in Homosassa, like the Old Mill Tavern and the Freezer. I will definitely stay at this property any time I visit Homosassa.

My husband is a stroke survivor and on his bucket list was to go to crystal river. As an asthmatic who was recovering from covid 2 months ago, I needed some R&R so I decided to take my husband and two daughters to crystal river. We booked this house because it was new and I couldn't take a chance with mold. It was a good decision. The owners resolved a few of the issues we had . The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is stocked (bring your wine opener), the couch is comfortable. The master room is big and has a big closet, the other two rooms are small without closets but we made due. One thing I did not know was that the house was on a rather main street and there was cars/trucks noise. The back of the house has a stunning forrest view. I wished we didn't have to hear the cars. That is just about the location. The town is small. We went there for rest, we did a few hikes, we went to kayak in Crystal River, it is a perfect location for 2-3 days. We went for 6. But were happy to just chill and play ping pong in the cool play room they have. We opened the garage doors when we were there and because the weather was so fresh it was a delight. My only recommendations for the owners fix the lock from the small bedroom that share the master bathroom and remove the barn door from the bathroom, because it doesn't close to the end and it lacks in privacy. We have older kids, set some rules and made it work but I believe it would be a small expense and a huge improvement. Thank you for leaving plenty garbage bags, I keep people's homes clean and neat and some owners do not provide them, so this was a nice touch. Overall, I believe this is one of the best homes in the area and we build some good memories that we will cherish for a long time.

We had a really great stay at up the creek. It was enough room for all of us. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was OK. Conditioning and water pressure are great. We enjoyed the area. Thank you for a lovely family vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and as pictured. I was a little worried about the play room down stairs being to warm however there was a large fan that kept it surprising cool on a 95 degree day. It was close to the local amenities as well. The owners were very responsive and made check in and check out a breeze. We loved this place and will be back to stay!

We had never been to Homosassa before but we wanted to be near Crystal River to swim with the manatees. I’m so glad we found this place. It turns out that there is SO much to do all around Homosassa that we could have stayed twice as long and barely touched the list of things to do. The house was perfect for us. We loved that all of the house was upstairs and that it had a nice sized porch to sit out on and let our dogs hang out without a leash. The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of linens. We didn’t use the kitchen but I looked in the drawers and there were plenty of kitchen tools to cook nice meals. Chris and Ashley were great communicators. I would highly recommend this home.

Firstly I can’t say how responsive the owner was to every question before and during. We had 2 adults and 4 kids from 11 to 13. The downstairs gaming area was absolutely perfect so my husband and I could have some quiet upstairs when we wanted and kids could hang downstairs. Place was exceptionally clean with a very well stocked kitchen. Will say the bunk bedroom was a bit small and the jack and Jill bathroom was a privacy issue bc one of the doors did close all the way nor lock. We had a few minor issues like the propane out for the grill but was replaced within 30 mins. Great for scalloping weekend getaway.

We had plenty of room for our family of 5. So peaceful sitting in the morning on the porch, we saw a buck in the back of the house. Beds were comfy. Bunk bed is definitely for smaller kids but our stay was overall really good. Thanks 😊

We are a family of 6 and this place is PERFECT for us. We loved how new the place was, the location was sweet (nearby many of our favorite eateries). We especially loved the game room with karaoke machine! Chris was great to interact with as the property manager and gave us some great insider tips. A weeks stay back in my old hometown and this home was in a great location! We rented a golf cart and were able to go to many of the local restaurants. Chris is a great host and very accommodating. The game room was a big hit for my family as well.

The house was beautiful, the location perfect for all the activities we planned basically 20min away from all the springs we choose to visit. Walking trail crossing the street. Bike ride the area neighborhood quiet. The kids enjoy the playroom! The owner was always available to fix minor inconveniences and gave us advice of places to visit. The only thing I regretted was not staying the whole week! We will love to come back.

This home is as beautiful as the pictures. We had a little snafu on check in but Chris was quick and made it perfect for us. We enjoyed the area very much. Beautiful large trees outlining the streets, fun homes on the water and lots of interesting decorations! The home is just a beautiful! Plenty of space Inside with all the essentials we needed to cook multiple meals. And awesome play room/garage. We did get our traditional rooster picture as it seemed to be very popular. On Saturday night It was quite loud with many golf carts full of people stopping by to snap their own rooster picture. Overall this was a great home and vacation and we thank Chris for sharing it with us!
