Very old skool & nice. Check in was easy.
Not much space to put things at the kitchen counter. The taps in the bathroom are a bit weird. The hot & cold taps are separated & far apart. So it's either u use hot water or cold water. Cannot mix both to get the ideal temperature.

I was very disappointed with this house, I expected a cute cottage instead got a run down house with mold, dust and bed bugs!
When we arrived I begun setting up the "beds" and had an asthma attack because of the dust. My friend stayed in the "second bedroom" with the pull out sofa. This was more like a closet with no room for belongings or personal items. The next morning she woke up with bites all over her body.
I stayed in the living room and didn't trust the bedding they provided after my asthma attack so luckily had a sleeping bag and did not get attacked by bugs.
We promptly left and did not return. Finding alternative accommodation instead. This house is a safety hazard and I expect a full refund.

Quiet street. Appropriate facilities. Like staying at a friends place.
Overgrown garden, spiders, bugs in the kitchen, leftover food from previous guests. Bedding left on floor, not folded. Vacuum cleaner was so full it did not work.

It's an absolutely beautiful house, it was really nice being able to stay at a place that retained so much of its history.

Location was great for my needs. The property was in its original style and and suitable decore for the era. Beds were comfy and lot of little extras. Will definitely book again as first choice when travelling back to the area.
If I had to pick something it was the parking but only temporarily as one it seemed one of the neighbours had people over - didn't hear the neighbours and there was plenty of parking further up the street

Loved the character! It was full of fun objects and old books and nooks to curl up and read or chat. It felt like staying in a story book.
The bathroom steps took a minute to get used to, but the shower was hot and had great water pressure.

Location was perfect for our requirements visiting family,
Cottage was very well appointed and clean.
Street parking available outside the cottage
Generally the gardens were overgrown and unkept.
Not able to use the rear garden which was overgrown with a pile of cut vegetation which hadn't been removed.

central for needs, kitchen well equiped.
the late check in on the first day 4 pm and as the place had not been cleaned and linen changed it was very late to organise it done after contact with owner. Also a little to quirky for my requirements

The house was spacious & clean, situated in a convenient location. A lovely balcony to enjoy a cup of coffee.
It took us a bit while to enter the house.

The location is perfect for access to the upper and lower mountains. Hosts were thoughtful in providing information on the area and appliances within the home.
Cleanliness of the property, there were dirty dishes left in the sink and house could have done with a good once over for dust & cobwebs. The external garden could do with a good trim back, we got wet from overhanging bushes trying to get our luggage and baby inside.

Lovely quiet location.
Quirky home with interesting furniture pieces and plenty of books, games.
Grateful to be able to have somewhere to stay with our dog.
The home had been closed up for quite some time and smelled very mildewy.
There was mould on a lot of the furniture and the garden and lawns were very overgrown.

great location
it wasn’t really a 2 bedroom

Somebody should clean out the provisions. Like tea bags 2 years out of date, old pepper, humid salt, etc.

Large house with a historical charm.
It's very run down which is a shame. It's more like a museum than a historical hideaway. The clutter was eye watering. We love old homes & although aspects were charming it just fell short of so many things. The TV didnt have a remote control. I did ask the owner about it but I had no reply back? The kitchen didnt seem functional. We ate eveynight anyway & at a wedding anyway Its quaint but too much hard work for a holiday. 2 nights were enough. Longer we would have struggled.

Lovely little cottage, well furnished, great kitchen and outside area. The dog was also happy with patio.
Mowing up side of house could be better re: access.

Pet friendly service. Historical ornaments are fabulous. Cooking utensils are great. Very comfy sofas.Heaps of blankets and heaters for cold day and many fans for hot summer.
Birdwood gully hiking was fantastic! There are fire museum and Norman Lindsay gallery that you should visit! Great place for Winter or autumn holiday but Don't worry about summer fever. There are jellybean pool and blue pool are available for splashing!
Lighting in the house was quite dark overall. Neighbours garden view instead of forest nevertheless good location.Historical but quite old house that need renovation especially the bathroom. Cheap marble sheets around bathtub is not quite relaxing.

Excellent facilities - everything you’d need for a weekend away.
There were a few items that needed replacing (light bulbs, gas lighters for stove etc) but upon messaging the host she said would be fixing within the week. Spare bed wasn’t that comfy but fine for a two night stay.
3.5 / 5.0
Bed was very comfortable. Location was great and reason for choosing this property. Quiet, picturesque surrounding.
Quirky furniture and decorations. Neighbours were friendly.
Wifi and access to Netflix/iView
Humongous hunsman spider at the door but understandable given surroundings.
Door handles were generally a bit of a let down. Teas were over 12 months past Best by Date.
