Second time staying at the A frame. The house is super clean, modern and cozy. Loved the back yard with the fire pit. Close to town and minutes from great places to kayak.

Our stay in this cute A-frame in Vermont for our honeymoon was absolutely magical. The cabin was nestled in a picturesque, wooded area, offering privacy. The cozy interior made for a perfect getaway. We spent our days exploring the nearby hiking trails and visiting Wilmington. Evenings were spent relaxing, stargazing, and unwinding in the serene environment. It was a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, making for a great week.

The A-frame was the perfect spot for our long weekend getaway to Whitingham. We loved being in the middle of nowhere and the private house had plenty of space and natural light. This is a great location for hiking and trail running in the Green Mountains and there is no shortage of amazing dirt roads for gravel cycling. Also a very short drive to Thunder Mountain MTB park. We would definitely stay here again.

The house is absolutely the best place we have ever stayed in Vermont. It has so many hooks for snowboarding gear which is a must, great to have a washer and dryer. Super clean, very well stocked kitchen, beds really comfortable. My boys loved the upstairs area just being their bedrooms.
Having all the DVDs in the otterman was a great idea great for family time after dinner to watch some really good old movies.

We loved the house and the property. The dogs had a great time.We will definitely be back. Diane was very responsive and friendly. I slept so well on the downstairs bed that I ordered the same mattress when we got home.We always had cell service. It was nice to just walk the trails on the property, or throw the balls to the dogs out back. Highly recommend this place !

Easy process, relaxing, comfortable and clean. Staying at The Place to Be was a joy for my husband and I, and my very energetic dog duke! We went on early morning walks where my dog sniffed out some grouse, cooked great meals, hiked, and explored Wilmington. Would highly recomend!

The space was cozy, while still having plenty of room. We had everything we needed to cook, the bed was incredibly comfy, the bathroom was very nice, and the shower had excellent water pressure and temperature. The space was also impeccably clean.

Diane's "Place to Be" cabin was perfect for Memorial Day Weekend with three kids and a dog. The cabin is well appointed, new, clean, and easy to find. The long driveway provides a lot of privacy with only the deer and animals as you neighbor. Only 15-20 into Wilmington for groceries, restaurants etc. Highly recommend Starfire bakery and 1a Coffee. Diane was great to work with, easy to communicate with, and very clear about check-in, check-out, etc. I would highly recommend and would visit again

My family and I spent 4 nights here and it was perfect. We are two adults and 2 children (3 and 6) and there was plenty of space and everything we needed. It would easily accommodate a family of 6 and not feel overcrowded. We used the outdoor firepit every evening and enjoyed playing in the yard. For anyone who is competitive, can you run around the house in less than 13 seconds?
Despite it being mud season (April), we did find a few hikes to do and enjoyed Pelham Lake Park, Harriman Reservoir, and the views from Hogback Mountain. We shopped at Shaw's in Wilmington (15 mins north).
We hope to visit again soon.

Its been an abysmal winter in NJ, so I booked a quick escape for me and my two labs to get a real taste of winter in the perfect cabin in Vermont. I was surprised at how charming and modern the cabin was, and the vast property was great fun for my dogs, as we snowwhoed right on the property. The house is well suppllied, dog friendly, with clear labeled instructions throughout, and a hefty binder laying out things to do. Besides the outdoorsy stuff, we enjoyed plenty of Vermon charm by going into town, visiting the many dog friendly stroes, eating great pizza, and sampling microbrews. Perfect Winter Retreat!

We had a great family quality time in this beautiful very unique A-frame cabin in the amazing Vermont woods. It is all modern and clean, very cozy and pet friendly! We felt so comfortable that it was hard to leave the cabin the morning to go skiing! Diane was very responsive and keen to ensure that we enjoyed our stay, which we did very much!

Diane was an incredible host with an adorable house! The house was new, clean, and well equipped with everything we needed (towels, kitchen supplies, winter weather preparations). She had an extremely helpful binder of things to do and places to go. The beds were super comfortable as were the couches for lounging. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. Only 30 mins to mount snow and 15 minutes to Dover, a great little town. We will definitely be staying again!

Wow! What a beautiful place! We came to ski mount snow, which was just a 25 minute drive. We enjoyed every minute here. Beautiful features, comfortable living space and secluded location. Definitely would return!

We enjoyed our weekend at this cozy A-Frame cottage. It was clean and well furnished. It offers 3 brs--2 with queen beds and 1 with a pair of twins. There is one bathroom downstairs with a good shower. Living room and kitchen are up to date. It is a little tricky getting in and out of the neighborhood and on to the main roads leading into Wilmington (15 mins.) and up to Mt. Snow (30 mins.). Country backroads and a couple of odd intersections. But if you have your GPS running and take care, it's an okay drive. Our host offered solid communication throughout. We appreciated that and it made for an enjoyable visit.

Spent the week after Christmas skiing at Mt Snow and this beautiful home is easily accessible to skiing, snowmobiling, hiking and restaurants.
The house is immaculate and the beds are very soft and comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen were fully stocked and the washer and dryer helped tremendously with 5 people staying.
Lots of snow surrounded the home and made the look picture perfect. The road and driveway were nicely plowed with no issues getting vehicles in and out.
The owner provided very detailed directions as we struggled with getting a gps signal. She responded immediately to emails and text messages and was helpful in finding food for a hungry crowd after driving and skiing all day.
5-stars, highly recommend !!

My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful week! The pictures, especially of exterior do not do the property justice. Absolutely lovely! The property owners were more than accommodating and communication was perfect!

My husband and I had the most perfect weekend getaway at this beautiful AFrame with our dog. Surrounded by nature, this private location is just what we needed to get away from the city. Coming from Boston, the drive had beautiful scenic views down Rt 2. We got coffee every morning in Wilmington, hopped around town, and visited the Hogback Mtn lookout. We were also able to bring our dog for lunch and a beer at Beer Naked Brewery. Most of our time was spent enjoying the property though, by the fire and enjoying peace and quiet. There’s a great trail down the driveway that we were able to walk our dog through the trees. Would def recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful naturegetaway at an aesthetically beautiful AFrame!

We recently stayed here for the second time. It was just as memorable as the first stay. The property is in excellent condition and perfectly stocked with essentials. We stayed in early October and the foliage was beautiful; the ferns at the woods edge were yellow and glowed in the sunlight. Unlike our last trip here during the pandemic, we were able to explore the area and there was an abundance of family friendly activities. We love this place and would absolutely return again.

Beautiful Southern Vermont location. The property was clean and highly organized, reminiscent of an ergonomic IKEA display. Plenty of sight seeing and activities with the one caveat of being located 25-60 from most locations. We were lucky to get in one or two trips or activities per day as we are not early morning people when we are on vacation. Internet was spotty at the property but spotty all over this mountainous location. Overall beautiful and secluded location for “getting away” from it all.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this modern and cozy A-Frame, which the owners have put a lot of time and attention into. The home's superb design and layout make for a very peaceful vacation environment. Fire pit in the backyard is also wonderful.
All instructions and directions, as well as suggestions, are super clear. I had one question during my stay and it was addressed very quickly.
I hope to return!

This was our second time visiting. It was again a lovely stay, very quiet, a perfect place to unplug and play games with the kiddo. We love the forest path at the property , and August is a great time to swim at Harriman Reservoir nearby.

Diane’s property was everything we needed for gravel cycling adventures. The accommodations were great and the fire pit was awesome for evenings recovering from riding during the day. We would book again!

Great stay at a hidden gem, dog-friendly!
My partner, our dogs, and two of our friends had a wonderful stay in Whitingham . Lots of access to nature but close enough to Brattleboro and N Adams to get in some city time. We went to Mass MOCA for a day which is about a half hour drive away. The place is spotless and has all that you could need. Super dog-friendly, too!

Peaceful
We had a wonderful time here. It was peaceful and quiet but not far from any attractions. Just what we were looking for. Everything was well stocked and very clean.

Lovely house in the woods
The house looks small but has a surprising amount of living space. It was modern, clean, and well-appointed. Peaceful, isolated setting. Kids loved staying in a "triangle house" -- their only complaint was that the wifi was a bit spotty.
