Views were unmatched to any other rental. Cabin was beautiful. Property management company was attentive when minor issue came up and were easy to reach. Loft upstairs was very comfortable and plenty of space. The porch and hot tub with the views were great. The WiFi was weak most of the day and took forever to load but we were here for vacation not work so it didn’t matter. I’d recommend this cabin again!

It was wonderful. Clean and spacious. Perfect views. We made it up fine in 2wd vehicles.

Awesome house with spectacular views of the mountains. Lots of room in the house. Hot tub was a plus.

We couldn't have been happier here. The house was extremely clean and the views were unbelievable. We had 10 adults and the beds/sleeping arrangements worked well for us. Depending on the group, I could see people being disappointed by lack of bedroom privacy (we're all old college friends in our mid-thirties so weren't bothered at all). The bed sizes worked perfectly for us and all of the sheets were clean and comfortable.
Check-in was flawless, management kept me updated and reached out to make sure we had everything we needed. I noticed there were only 8 bath towels once we arrived so I was able to ask a friend to bring a few extras who lived nearby.
Based on some reviews, I was hoping the drive up the mountain wouldn't be too bad. None of us have AWD and were able to make it up without any trouble. If there's snow or ice, I could definitely see it being a challenge though.
If I had to think of any negatives, I would say I wish there was enough room for a table to seat all 10 people but we made it work. Also, I will never understand why someone would put up religious decor in a rental that will be used by a variety of people from different backgrounds but we just ignored it. The wifi was very spotty but that's honestly probably a positive as it kept us off our phones!
Overall, we were thrilled and can't wait to return someday! Thank you!

This is the perfect escape with the best views you could get. It's about 30min to the nearest town, they have games and some books available along with the other amenities. The management team responded quickly and were so helpful when we had questions. We had such a great time even though we had to cut it short due to a family emergency.

Our initial reservation was canceled with a week’s notice. We had to make last minute changes to stay in another cabin managed by pristine. That was stressful and a pain but I understand things happen. The cabin we stayed at was listed as having gas fireplaces, and a gas grill we could use. We brought food to grill out and when we arrived the gas to the entire house had been shut off for over a month and we were never told. We had to cook everything inside and cancel our grilling plans. We also felt mislead about the fireplaces. The date of the shutoff was listed on the fireplace so it wasn’t a last minute thing.
I messaged the property manager about this asking if she was aware and if the gas could be turned on and I never received a response. The cabin was clean, and besides that was as described. Just a little disappointed with the communication and details being left out. Probably would not stay with them again.

Overall great time. The pictures don’t do justice. Hot tub was lovely, location is perfect for waterfall adventures, views are amazing, well stocked for 4 nights, and plenty of space. My boyfriend, dog, and I took the lower level and had more than enough space. Basically was like our own apartment down there. Sister took the main level room, parents upstairs. All parties had our own bathroom and shower which is perfect. Game room plus ping pong in the garage was perfect for a rainy day. And we put cornhole/bags under the front overhang for more rain day fun. Don’t rely too much on the board games though; many of them were empty or missing significant components. Host might need to restock those. My family is weirdly obsessed with Yahtzee and were bummed to open an empty box. We made do with other games after searching through other boxes and matching together cards, etc. Only other critique is spotty WiFi that kept going out and the dishwasher isn’t mounted in the cabinet so it was moving around. Both minor inconveniences that didn’t take much from the experience. Would definitely come back again! One of my favorite rentals I’ve stayed in! Kept a party of 6 (including a pooch) very happy.

This place has a 270 degree view! Close to great hiking and hot tub after! Recommend the Switzerland Inn for dinner! Property management team was very responsive!

The property was beautiful and we were all very pleased with our stay. We were hit with a major winter storm and it hit 10 degrees below. Some snow and ice. Electricity stayed on and we had no issues (other than transportation up the mountain - 4WD definitely needed).
Enjoyed walks in the woods, time in hot-tub, fires in fire pit and playing games together.
Could have used a few blankets and hot tub towels but we had brought extra towels and a few blankets but for most part all was good.

Beautiful views. The home itself is very spacious and plenty of room for us. Nice kitchen facilities.

We enjoyed our weekend stay in the mountains! The home was beautiful and clean, the kitchen was very well stocked. The weather wasn’t great due to hurricane Ian, so we didn’t get to enjoy much of the outdoor amenities. But, the house was spacious for us all to enjoy each other indoors. The road getting up there was very steep! We had to back up and get a running start to make it up. However turning off our “traction control” help the second time up. All in all I give this place 5 stars

The house was nice, the views are amazing. We got this house for the hot tub and views and they did not disappoint.

This home is very nice. The views are absolutely stunning! The firepit area was great being just off the kitchen. The linens, sheets, towels etc. need to be replaced. They were old and the comforters/quilts felt dirty. I'd suggest bringing your own. That was our only complaint. We had a great weekend!

First I want to say that this property has the most gorgeous views I have ever had when staying in a vacation home. The quiet atmosphere was so wonderful. We had our parents, us, our 2 adult children and their families staying on this trip. Our 2 labs had a wonderful time roaming around the property and just lounging on the decks. The covered porch came in handy with the intermittent rain. We were able to bring the picnic table under the covered section and still enjoy being outside.
Loved that they had a folding table and lots of extra chairs so that we could open that up for the week. We used it for eating and separate groups to play games.
The kitchen was very well stocked. They even had many spices to cook with, which was very helpful and appreciated. There was both a Keurig and a coffee pot. A crock pot
and plenty of casserole dishes for use. I love a well stocked kitchen, especially when the entire family is getting together.
I will say though that this property needs quite a bit of work done on it. The broken front door was very inconvenient to work around. You could go out it, but not come back in. None of the sliding screen doors worked properly and really couldn't be used at all. Labels on the light switches would have helped people know what belongs to what. This was not a very clean home. Dust on many of the surfaces, especially on the upstairs master bedroom furniture. The shower in the master bath upstairs also had black mold and mildew along the bottom and obviously hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. No supplies at the property for us to use to clean it ourselves either. The grill needs some maintenance as well. It did not heat evenly, and the burners could probably use some servicing.
The basement bedrooms have a strong musty smell. I would recommend that you bring an extension rod with a shower curtain to offer some privacy between the 2 rooms down there.
The sheets and blankets are all extremely old, musty smelling and pilled. They were uncomfortable and need to be replaced. For the amount of money that we paid for this week, I was disappointed with the quality. Especially the bedding and the cleanliness. We had 8-9 people sleeping in the house throughout the week. Everyone had the same comments, especially the basement bedrooms.
While the views were spectacular and made up for a lot of the issues, the cleanliness, linens and maintenance should be addressed quickly.

Incredible views
We traveled with friends and kids for a 5 day stay. The views are incredible and make the drive up the mountain worth it. Overall we had a great time. The house could use some fresh paint and linens but, none of this hindered our stay.

Amazing view
Let's just start out the pictures are a glimpse of what you actually get to see. The views are breath taking. Everything was clean. Wifi really sucks so don't plan to on having internet much... we ended up renting some movies from redbox bc we couldn't get Netflix or any other app to work on the TV. The hot tub at night was amazing especially watching the sun set or the stars at night. The kids really enjoyed the gameroom and making smores at night by the campfire.
The drive to the house was really unexpected the roads are very windey and very steep so for some floridians it was an experience!
Hiking is the activity you will mainly enjoy. We saw some amazing waterfalls...Crabtree falls was one of the closest ones and we got some amazing photos....most of the others we drive 1 to 1.5 hrs away but everything was worth it.... we also did some white water rafting with edge of the world... 100% recommend!
I would 100% go back! Looking to try it again with adults only

The house was wonderful. Everything was comfy and easy to use and locate. The hot tub was nice and hot. The kids really enjoyed playing in the basement. And to say the view was breathtaking would be an understatement! I would eagerly stay here again.

Overall a great stay with an incredible view
A group of my students and I stayed at the spruce pine cabin for 2 nights. Although we had some trouble getting there in the dark at night, the check-in in process was easy and they provided good directions. Not a whole lot to do in the area, no hiking or walking trails, but we were there for a stay-cation for peace and quiet so it was perfect for us. And what a view to wake up to! I bet it’s perfect in the fall.
The house was nice and clean with most accommodations. The beds were pretty comfortable. The comforters could definitely use a little upgrading, not many blankets available in the house.no hair dryer that I could find. The only major issue we had (which only bothered a few that get cold) was that the thermostat was on the main floor only, so when you set it, the basement where 4 of the beds were located was really cold in comparison to the rest of the house. A good 10 degrees difference. When the heat was turned up to accommodate, the top level was very hot as heat rises. I’m sure nothing can be done about that really but it is something to consider if having a large group like we did.
The hot tub with the view was incredible. We had rainy and foggy weather but even then it was beautiful. We used the fire pit and loved the atmosphere there.
The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking and baking and all the appliances were clean.
Overall it wad a lovely stay and we would recommend it to others!

Great Location Great Views Great Home
This place was nothing short of spectacular. First, the views are unbeatable. The landscape of the mountains change all day and the wraparound porch or hot tub are excellent places to sit and admire them.
The home was very accommodating and clean. Check in was easy. It is a fun steep drive up the mountain to get there, but well worth it. We had planned on many adventures while there, but the home was so great we decided to get groceries and cook all week and just enjoy the place. We will definitely book here again. This place is a no-brainer!!! Book it!

Overall a peaceful stay
Overall very nice place but had issues with water the first day and issues with hot tub the whole time. If you don’t have a 4 wheel drive better get some speed to get up the hill to the place but the view is worth it!

The house was great and as expected from the pictures online. The view is spectacular. Note, there is a substantial climb to get up to the house on a gravel road for the last 1/2 mile to a mile and it helps to have all-wheel drive. My only disappointments were the mattresses (pretty firm) and the hot tub (it was leaking). We had to fill it with water every day for 30-45 minutes to get it to the top again which isn't terrible but you can see they tried to patch up the leak before and did not do a very good job at it. This should have been fixed prior to staying there. If these two things were fixed, this would easily be 5 stars.

Extremely disappointed
My husband, myself and my daughter and two grandchildren traveled for two days to get to this property. My son and his family meet us at the cabin after a 6 hour drive. Upon arrival we found that the home had no running water. We couldn’t even use the toilets. We called the property manager and was told some one would be there in an hour to fix the problem with the well. At 11:30pm after we had unpacked and bought groceries we were told that the well issue was not going to be able to be fixed. We had no where to go, so had to spend the night at the home with no running water. I was told in the morning that the property manager would move us to another VRBO home. I called in the morning and was told since it was the 4th of July weekend they had nothing available for us. We were told to go home. I had planned this vacation with my children and grandchildren 6 months ago. I now had to tell them all to go home. The vacation was canceled without any warning. My family had gone to a lot of trouble to be able to all meet at the same time. I am sure this opportunity will never happen again. My husband and I are getting older and my oldest grandson will be starting college next year. We were robbed of a family vacation with out any warning. After lots of tears that morning we left. This was probably one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever had!!!

The house was off the beaten path, which was just what we were looking for and the views were breathtaking! We had an amazing time and would certainly stay here again.

Very cute place to stay near Little Switzerland
Easy check in. Melissa and Nick were very easy to communicate with. The house was clean just a little dusty. My family with allergies just took extra medication to help. This is a random point but man does this place have a lot of doors! Not bad but just had to keep an eye on the kids. The beds were all very comfortable. I do wish the property had better seating outside. The deck has a beautiful view but the benches and chairs were not that good. If you have a large group, come up with a shower list. Like all houses and cabins in the area, they are on a well. So just be aware of that and let one shower operate at a time. Overall we would come back to this cabin.

Welcome 2021
With all the craziness and disruption COVID has been in 2020, our family wanted to bring in the new year and focus on what was most important, each other! We could not of said good bye to 2020 and hello to 2021 in a more perfect location! Thank you for an amazing house, with amazing views, and an opportunity to be unplugged with family. We were able to recharge and welcome 2021 with the promise of opportunities and possibilities a new year brings. The views, unbelieve; the hot tub- a treat throughout our stay and we enjoyed morning, afternoon, and nights; the fire pit overlooking to mountains- a perfect setting to bring in the new year; the location -ideal to explore area attractions/fun NC mountain towns. The cabin was so nicely furnished and so cozy, the kitchen had all you needed for homecooked meals, and enough space to be with your family and have separate space too. Really a perfect mountain getaway and I would most definitely come back.
