This is our 3 stay at Beach Cottage.
A cosy cottage in a quiet location
Secure yard for the dogs.
Unfortunately I will have to say the cottage was not clean, I had to vacuum on our arrival and the amount of dirt that was on the floor was terrible, dead flies on the window sill in the front bedroom plus dust and cobwebs through the cottage. I don’t think it has been vacuumed under the couches in god knows how long. Pity to find it in this condition and considering there is a cleaning fee charged one would expect it to be cleaned.
The tea towel and bath mat were also dirty.
Also broken glass behind the shed, this really needs to addressed as it’s an u safe area.
Great that wood is supplied but would be nice to have dry wood.

Great space if you have family & dogs, 20 minute walk to town. Well equipped kitchen.Only criticism would be the outdated TV ( poor reception & remotes), no clock or radio either.

Easy access and large living area with very efficient wood heater. Beds were comfortable and great yard for our little dog to roam around. We really enjoyed our stay.

0. Would consider staying again ......
1. More than the 0.4 km advertised to town centre
2. Lighting in the home is poor
3. No Smoke Detectors visible !
4. Water briefly inoperative at times for some reason
5. Heating fine, clean and otherwise quite functional

Beautiful open sunny spaces, incredibly warm with great supply of wood to stoke the pot belly - just right for toasting marshmallows! Outside back garden huge and very safe if you bring your pet. Great value and would definitely return when next in Mallacoota.

Would definitely stay again - very homely and valued the secure yard for fur babies

This is an older but homely house.
. We knew we needed to provide our own linen but were surprised we needed to provide doona covers as well. Photos on line show doona covers on all beds but none were provided. Internal decor a bit different as well.
Older appliances eg airconditioner, and lots of power chords plugged into power boards, rather than proper wall sockets.
Distant water view from kitchen. 5 min drive into town centre.

First Family Vacation
Property was great for My families first vacation, the beach was a short drive from the accommodation, some child friendly DVD supplied at the house (majority were 15+) Unfortunately mojority of the foreshore was filled with caravans, short 10 minutes drive to the beach that allowed the kids to walk down to the water.
would reccommend for older kids due to having access to fishing locations closer to town.

Big back yard and lots of games to play
We really enjoyed our time at the property. As a family with a dog it was great to be able to bring everyone on holiday, and the big enclosed backyard was much appreciated. There was a large selection of board games that made evenings fun. The location was quiet and peaceful, just a twenty minute walk or two minute drive to the centre of Mallacoota. Highly recommended and would stay there again!

Loved it!
We really enjoyed staying here. Its a comfy, relaxed, pleasantly 70s kind of beach cottage. It has nicely squashy couches to loll about on with a perfectly sized table for 4-way board games; clean and good-sized bedrooms; outdoor table and bbq; perfectly adequate bathroom; and some welcoming retro furniture/decorations. If you're looking for glamour or sleek furniture this is not your bag, but if you want a welcoming and comfortable retreat at the beach its perfect. Wonderful lemon tree out the back too. We had bikes and its an easy 5 or so min ride to town, or a few min in the car. We had a lovely week and would happily return again.

Disappointed Short Stay...
Unfortunately, we had to leave after 2 nights of an 8 night booking. Rats in the roof meant we had to sleep in the living room. Too noisy to sleep in the bedrooms. That and the two broken windows, one pushed in with large rocks! We left in a hurry as the rats gave us the creeps! Left clean dishes in the rack and mattresses on the floor, rubbish put out. Finally got all my money back after I put a case into VCAT. Photos are not accurate. Needs a property manager.
Wouldn't recommend this property at all.

Lovely stay, clean, everything you need and more. Plus a beautiful walk into town. My favourite features were the wood fire and the variety of card/board games.

Mallacoota Cottage holiday.
We would like to thank the owner, Penny, for her excellent service, and say we hope to stay there again. Backyard was perfect for dog, overall a very comfortable stay the place is really homely.
Just a note- the yale lock on front door was a bit loose. I did try to plug screw holes, seems ok but may need looking at .

Beach Cottage
I was very disappointed to find the cottage in a very unclean state. The floors appeared not to have been cleaned from the previous tenants, there was dirt under the lounge furniture, numerous dead flies through the house. The coffee table was dusty and had lots of finger marks. One bedroom had a cracked window which had tape on it to hold the glass in place.
Sorry but I would not recommend this cottage to anyone.
