The staff is great. The rest of the experience is a zero.
The HVAC on the fourth floor has been broken for months, yet Baltic continues to rent out the rooms. Several months ago they wheeled in portable AC units, propped them up on an end table next to the bed, duct-taped the vent hose to the window, and continued renting out the rooms. They did this for the entire floor. My pillow was eight inches from a loud (85 decibels) portable AC unit!

Overall the lobby was clean good vibes. How ever only one staff was kind, accommodating and professional (he was a male) the property was clean.
The rooms were very small. No space to move around.

Good location
Room did not look like photos! Knew the room might be small but it was really tiny. Could hardly walk around!
Entire window was covered with a black vinyl panel that could not be lifted to allow in light, so it was like staying in a cave. Perhaps it is meant to hide a little space between the edge of the window and the frame which allowed the cold air to blow in from outside and blow right across the top of the bed where our heads lie! Blankets on the bed were so short and so tightly tucked in, I could not cover my shoulders or head. That is a structural issue that should really be addressed!! Outside sounds were louder due to open window space.
Except for a tiny shelf above the bed (with a tissue box that took up most of the shelf) there is nowhere to set things.

Location is good
No hair drier. No place where to put wet towel. Space is ok but no places to put things. Mentioned that breakfast included and it is not easy to call it breakfast. Muffin and coffee… anyway you will go for a proper breakfast nearby.

The people
Breakfast - it's just formality, water and croissant which is in package (not fresh)

the location is close to brooklyn centre
the size of the room is too small. There was no space to walk around the bed from one side to the other. You need to be carefull otherwise you will hit your toes to the cornel of the bed.
Also hte breakfast was very.very poor and the area to drink your morning coffe was not comfortable.

Staff was friendly and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure I felt taken care of,and provided excellent service. Because of them, I had a good stay at the hotel.
I had some issues with my room. The sink did not drain well, and there was no closet or hangers-just a bar on the wall for clothes. The ac/fan also did not work and I had to open the window to feel comfortable in the room. Breakfast was very sugary, and coffee was not very tasty—ended up going to a cafe.

I was close to the hospital I needed to go to for birthing my baby.
it doesn’t have a microwave or refrigerator (if you have meds or need to feed your baby… tough luck) the property feels like you’re sleeping in a warehouse. the concrete floors, the wooden slabs as bed frames, it’s just all very grunge and not comfortable for a pregnant woman or family. there are no phones in the rooms AT ALL. if you want or need anything you have to go downstairs or have good service on your cell and call the front desk. the beds looked slept in upon arrival. it was just very disappointing.

Location
They still have not refunded me my refundable deposit and will not answer my emails. Was not aware they were taking a damage deposit until I arrived Towels were only large hand towels not suitable for anything else. Broken toilet holder, main light did not work. No place to put any clothes, shelves etc, just a coat rack. Mattress not the same size as bed frame.

The staff were kind and helpful! The TV worked and they upgraded me to a supposedly larger room. There wasn't a lot of noise, a big plus for NYC hotel.
The mattress was on a platform, not box springs. It sagged in the middle and was uncomfortable. There was no chair at all, no desk space, and 3 hooks on the wall instead of a closet. The bathroom was too small to fit in a sink, so a small sink was in the room. The drain was clogged and I could only run the water for a second before it could overflow the tiny sink. The shower had a Euro style plexiglass instead of a shower curtain or door, and it wasn't wide enough. Water pooled on floor outside shower. Just lots of design flaws, cheap design that looks good but functions poorly.

After checking in, I noticed that there was a problem with the main light in my room and I was immediately given a new room, which was bigger! No questions asked.
The towels in my room had long blonde hairs in them so I'm not sure they were clean :/

it was easy to get to my NY office at Barclays
the indifferent attitude of the staff about issues around the damages in the hotel and the room had rusty water damage on the ceiling so I asked to change my room fearing that the ceiling will chip away and fall on me while sleeping! The second room had the same issue as the first. The sink was slow, probably clogged in the drain and the tissue holder was broken and hanging from the wall. It was totally uncomfortable but I had no choice. They need to fix alot! Elevator was dirty, it's down the street from public housing so after hours it's best to stay inside. As a native of Brooklyn this is one place that you have to get in and OUT ASAP because of the area.

the night clerk was arguing loudly on her speaker phone and we could hear every word, until I spoke to her at 3 am.

the room was the only good thing in that property, and they said the breakfast is included but that’s not even an appetizer 😅😭
location, the area look dangerous, the building entrance it’s something different, when you take the elevator to the room it’s an underworld, dirty, but when you get into the room it’s something different

It was clean, spacious, and close to all the people and places we planned to visit for my daughter's birthday. The young lady at the front desk was pleasant, friendly, and very helpful. I would definitely stay again just not in that room.
The room was located by an emergency stairwell and the entrance. The entire night all I heard was traffic and the people coming ging and passing.
Also the room was cold no matter how high I turned up the heat the room stayed cold

the front service is the best
I loved it
