Highly recommend this property for anyone that wants good skiing and great service. This place provided sunshine even on

Perfect location for ski in / ski out with good dry room facilities. Close to everything. Personal service and cooking by Kato was so good. Immediately responsive to any request. Exceptional service. So many things to like.

No onsen.

Great ski base at Tsugaike - would happily stay there again.

Location is perfect for skiing - straight out the back door, & just a couple of minutes to town. Place was simple, but very functional as a ski base. Staff were great. Breakfast was good. Beds & duvets were awesome :)

Rooms etc are small & very simple, but thats normal in much of Japan - & it works fine.

Great location for skiing and wonderful staff

Great location to go skiing. The staff is really helpful and flexible. They prepared a great Shabushabu dinner for us, and helped us removing snow around our car when we had to leave and it had been snowing the entire night.

It’s Hakuba and most lodging make use of gasoline heater which tend to have a strong smell and headache inducing for people with migraines. Sunshine Hakuba is not an exception.

Perfect in every sense

The property and all hosts were unreal. Solomon organised all our ski passes and rental gear which was ready for us upon arrival. We were chauffeured around which was at no extra cost which was very surprising and nice. we expected a bill for transport etc but there were no hidden fees at all. Our rooms were super clean and tidy, had everything we needed there. Our daily breakfast was exceptional everyday, thank you so much Kato! And Dana our other host also was very hospitable and gave us some recommendations for the rest of our trip back to Tokyo. The hotel is so close to the ski lift which was super handy as my partner was beginning and the less walking the better!, we would walk 10 metres and be on the slopes, strap into your boots and ride to the bottom to board the chair lift. I will not hesitate to book again next time. THANK YOU ALL.

not too bad a place to stay

Breakfast is standard and totally acceptable; location seems appropriate and can almost ski in and out; bed is comfortable enough and duvet is warm and soft; wifi works well; shower and hot water is vert well provided including nice bathing products

bathroom too small and not enough space to move about; no consideration on lighting provision, either bright throughout or dark! no table surface, nor sitting provision;; no bedside table or lamps; windows leaking air flow chilling the room a bit much closet space and provision is minimal; lacks cosy feeling outside the room and in lunch room.

Perfect and convenient.

Very good location, we slided into the slope. I have ski and snowboard, it's very convenient to change gear in a day. They also have projector, We can relax in evening. The host is very nice and helpful, we would like to repeat if available.

The Lodge was close to the ski slopes and amenities were easily accessible. Staff very helpful and friendly. the breakfast was amazing and healthy.

The room was to cold for me. But the host provided an extra heater and blanket during the night!

Just beside the ski piste, but not easy access because of deep snow block the access.

Beds and quilts are too small. There isn't enough space for luggage and clothes.

Wonderful location, very friendly owners, super helpful!

Breakfast was just cereal, bread and instant coffee. Some photos on here show cooked breakfast, but not the case. Not too important though.

Right in front of the slopes. Perfect location. And the couple who manages the place is really nice and welcoming.

Amazing place, Friendly owners and breath-taking views

The most amazing thing about place is liveliness. They have amazing view of Hakuba mountain range with skiing available to the door. You can watch movies, play games or just relax with other residents after skiing all day. Owners are foreigner couple, who are very friendly and kind. It was our first time skiing and they helped us pick gears and gave us lessons on how to ski. :D
