We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and the views from the front porch were stunning! The kids loved the outdoor space as well as the theatre room. I would definitely recommend for a family vacation as the house is spacious and there is tons to do in the area. We will definitely be coming back!

We had an excellent time at the Blue Ridge property. AMAZING views and perfect location.
Overall the house was very clean. Easy to access and clear instructions for check in. Large, comfortable bedrooms. Great couches both in living room and basement. Very fun to have a theater room. We loved that they were pet friendly. They provide free access to two rec centers - we went to Woodstone for the gym and the pool.
Better if they had more blankets or heavier blankets - they did not have comforters on beds, rather a top sheet and a thin hotel-style coverlet. Definitely recommend bringing your own blankets if you’re running the A/C in the summer. Pillows were small but fine, nothing too comfortable or not comfortable. Towels are also very thin and small - not really big enough to cover your body and walk down the hall after a shower. Enough utensils for one group meal. No blackout curtains - really only a thought because we were traveling with an infant.
I cannot state it enough though… the views were amazing and worth every bit of our stay. Our family loved being able to watch the sunsets. We would definitely come back again!

Didn't like the fact that we had to rent an extra night to be able to get in before 4:00pm. Then the day before our check in date received an email about early access for a small fee. if they told us that before renting a extra night that would of saved us some $$$. Other than that I got all my questions answered promptly.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. Only suggestions is to update the movie room equipment because we couldn’t get it to work and update the bathrooms some. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. Just beware of stink bugs and we did see 1 roach the first night but they were quick to respond to the problem. Our family would actually want to stay there again. Very peaceful stay!

This is my second time in this house and we love it. The bedrooms are spacious and the family rooms are comfy. There are a ton of things to do on the mountain, and the area is beautiful. The reason I took a star off is for relatively minor things: not enough blankets (which was remedied with some texts back and forth with the property manager), some inconvenient light switch/lamp placement, and slightly less table seating than people who could sleep there. Like I said, not deal breakers, but good to know about going in to it. I’d suggest bringing extra blankets and towels if you’re coming with 10 people. This is one of my husband’s favorite house rentals.

Family Visit
The location & house layout were perfect for our family. The infant and her parents were in the MBR; her pack & play fit in the master bedroom walk-in closet which was very convenient. The toddler and other adults were on the second floor. That setup was perfect for us. The bedrooms are very large with lots of floor space. Beds were very comfy and nice linens throughout. The kitchen had an efficient layout and equipment was adequate, but could have been of better quality (the knives weren't very sharp, no non-stick pans). Kitchen storage was above average and included a pantry. The coffee maker and icemaker were not working when we were there; hopefully the property owners will remedy that. There is a large open fairly flat yard that is perfect for children to play; the rear deck was also very enjoyable. There are a couple of things that were of safety concern and should be addressed promptly: the brick sidewalk has several very loose bricks which is a fall risk; the front porch decking is very worn at the top of the steps and have rot and some exposed nails; the back door handle is very loose. Management was very prompt in responding to a power outage and another issue; they were also quick to respond to questions prior to our stay. The house is convenient to Rt. 33 as well as resort amenities.

House, Property and Space
The house, property and space was very nice we loved watching the deers on the front yard in the mornings. The cleanliness of the house could have been better as we found a few spiders and webs in the downstairs bedroom. We knew of the ladybug and stink big issues but thought that had been taken care 9f according to a prior phone call before arrival as well as per prior reviews that some kitchen outlets was fixed but we had to call for that as well as loose banister that was dangerous for my elderly mom. Aw a few roaches and no garbage disposal Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Theater of Deer
Our stay here was very nice. The house was clean and has lots of space. You will definitely see deer here in the early mornings and late afternoons! It is very close to all the activities at Massanutten. My family enjoyed the theater room and watched a couple of movies in it.
We did see lots of ladybugs in the house and a few stink bugs. Not a huge deal, but worth the mention. The biggest issue with the house was access. The door lock is very hard to work. We had to call to get in the first time and most other times it took a while to get the door to open. It was frustrating. I would recommend replacing the lock for guest convenience.
It is also a bit difficult to find. When you turn off the main road at the Massanutten sign, it is the house you see on the right on the hill. The driveway is before you get to the house.
Overall, my family loved the house and we would stay here again when visiting Massanutten. The deer in your front yard make any frustration with the lock worth it!

Great vacation!
Rented the Blue Ridge house at the Massanutten resort. The house was lovely. The yard was large and the kids and dog enjoyed running around. It was at the top of a hill and not too close to any other property. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were a bit cramped and the toilets were low to the floor. The coffee maker took over an hour to make 12 cups. Seemed too slow. The outlets on one wall of the kitchen did not work. The fire pit outside was nice. The basement area had a projection room where the kids watched movies. They were able to play freely in the basement without worry of breaking things. There were a lot of ladybugs around the windows inside. Didn't bother us but may if you abhor beetles. The front window had a gorgeous view, but could have used some sheer curtains to block the sun during part of the day. Front porch access from main floor master bedroom and front door. We did find a mysterious beer can on the grass where we had been playing kickball right off the porch. That was a little creepy. Overall it was a great visit though. Thank you!

Beautiful views
This house was perfect for my family and friends to have a small gathering. The kitchen is dated but we were very comfortable and the views were amazing! There is a ladybug/stink bug problem though..they were all in the house. At least it wasn't spiders!

Did not meet expectations
Hello,
I am not one to ever criticize, however our experience in this situation was poor. To start, we were provided the incorrect address and it took a couple hours after we arrived to check in to resolve the issue after speaking with several representatives and being either transferred to another rep or put on hold resulting in having to call back several times. This situation basically created a loss of the remainder of the day correcting it rather than enjoying ourselves and relaxing as planned. The next day we discovered and reported that there was clearly a ladybug infestation. I would actually like to speak further on our experience and am interested in some sort of adjustment on what we paid for. On a brighter note, the location of the property and our trip itself after we arrived was excellent.

Cozy spot with gorgeous views!
Woke up to unobstructed view of mystic fog in the Shenandoah Valley and the mountain range. Early Thanksgiving family celebration. Everything we needed. Very clean. Great safe large yard for the dogs and kids to run. Shared with the deer. Couldn’t get the theater electronics to cooperate with modern tech, but played movies on the smart TV in the living room easily. Easy access for elderly in the rear as the house is set on a hill making front steps numerous.

Beautiful Home and View
Had to an awesome vacation and the house was beautiful with everything my family needed. My only recommendations would be to repaint the front porch area as the outside of a home appearance is just as important as the inside when a consumer is looking for vacation home rentals, The lock we had to call to get back in after being out all day because the door would not open although the key code was working. It happened again on our third day but fortunately everyone didn’t go out so we were able to get in, more chairs on the front porch to utilize especially when you have a big group staying at the home and lastly the hot water goes out fast when taking a shower. Otherwise I definitely recommend this place as the view is beautiful as well as the home itself. Loved seeing the animals too.

Wonderful house. A few minor problems
The house was very clean. The 4 king size beds were very comfortable . Only a couple of minor issues. We tried to use the dryer our last night and the knobs were broken . We thought we were going home with wet cloths but managed to get it to work. Also we were unable to use the home theatre systems. All the necessary cords weren’t there for our needs. The house is very conveniently located . Being able to use the pools at the Massanutten Resort was a plus. I would definitely recommend 404 Massanutten Drive.

Great place with a few quirks
We loved the house and even extended our stay one night. There were a few minor inconveniences that would just be good to know going in to it. Some of the lights and outlets didn’t work and the toilets were finicky. Communication between the 800 number we had to call for things and the people who actually dealt with the property wasn’t the best. One toilet overflowed and we called for help with cleanup since there were no cleaning supplies (other than laundry and dishwasher) but no one came. When we extended our stay one night, they didn’t extend the door code as well and we got locked out. They sent me an email with a discount for extending the stay, but when we called to extend they didn’t offer the discount until I forwarded the email back to them…to the same address that sent it. Lol. Butttttttt….otherwise the house was great and spacious, the property and views were amazing, the amenities were fun and close, and we would definitely stay at this place again!

Beautiful Views!
The location of the house is perfect and the mountain views are breathtaking! The hill that it sits on is great for sledding! I would highly recommend bringing your own sleds if you stay during snow season. I would have given the cleanliness 5 stars, however, we had at least 8-10 dead stink bugs to clean up when we arrived and then ended up killing at least 10 additional ones during our week long stay. The kitchen is fully stocked, but it's missing a cutting board and the ice-maker wasn't working. You can buy ice at any of the convenience stores right by the house, but it would have been nice to know prior to arriving. There was plenty of hot water for all of us (9 total). I would definitely recommend that towel hooks be hung in the main floor master bath. We ended up moving the stool from the closet into the bath so we had somewhere to put our towels/clothes while we were showering. All of the beds are VERY comfortable and the linens were clean and soft. The vanity drawers in the main floor master bath are in need of repair (especially the large bottom one). I ended up smashing my finger between the drawer and the tile when the drawer came out as fast as it dropped. A small first aid kit at the property would be a nice amenity for urgent situations (like when a vanity drawer is broken and ends up smashing a finger and almost taking the nail off). The theater room with the large screen was great for playing family games and the area was large enough to accommodate all of us. We spent every evening down there! Due to the amount of people and the fact that we cooked every meal at the house for a week, I would recommend that the house have 2 large trash containers. We filled the one and had at least 6-8 additional bags that could have easily filled another one. Be ready to take beautiful pictures of the views that the house offers and also to capture all of the wildlife that you will see daily. We definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again next year!

This house was perfect for our mountain getaway. Everyone was happy. The skiers did their thing and the gamers loved the projector. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend it!
