Great central location Very well-appointed Electric chairs a bonus Comfy bed
stairwell dirty and not inviting at all

Nice home with awesome views. Lovely kitchen with everything we needed.
Lots of stairs, we had young children staying with us and it wasn’t really suitable for them.

The house was very cozy. It was clean.
The house needs much updating and exterior cleaning. And I specially did not like that. I was on the road, so there was quite a bit of noise from traffic. Additionally, there were no paper towels, so we used bathing towels to clean the kitchen.

the tv . we could not turn down the sound

the views just wow!! we just loved this house. everything was just perfect. the beds were so comfortable and you don’t need to drive too far to buy groceries etc. I would stay again. so glad we chose to stay here😁
it didn’t bother us but not recommended for someone who can’t do stairs as there are many levels. you also need to be careful with the driveway turning on/off from the main road however we found cars drive slow enough that we never had a problem and if you wanted to turn right from the driveway you could go left and turn around just down the road at a jetty parking area. Too easy. Totally worth it. this place is just amazing!!

The views are magnificent, with stunning sunrises across Otago Harbour and sunsets behind the city. The property is big, with three fair-sized bedrooms and two living areas. The location is great: secluded, but only 10 minutes drive from the city centre. Information provided is helpful, and the in-house guides very professional. Everything clean and comfortable. It can get quite cold when the wind is howling up from the ocean, but the electric heaters warm it up quickly. The late-1960s decor allows you to pretend that you’re in an Austin Powers film.
Very hard to find in the dark: best to arrive in daylight. If you were hoping to enjoy playing the vintage piano, don’t: the cabinet is beautiful, but it’s long overdue a full service and sounds like a saloon-bar honkytonk. Kitchen equipment is very difficult to operate.

views and quirky design
very comfortable beds
it was dusty and the spare blankets for the beds had dog hairs on them
bits of left over sauces and foods left in the cupboards and a large car left on the property making it hard for us to drive in and turn around

The view of the bay was really nice.
The house has several levels with stairs with shallow risers, so if you mobility issues, this house may be a bit tricky. The upstairs bathroom near two of the bedrooms has a pitched ceiling, which we bumped our heads on. To get anywhere you have to drive.

lovely views of the estuary
nothing

Broken blind in the smaller room. And cutlery was put away filthy
4.2
View & good sized home. Piano.
Insufficient hot water, no fan in rooms. Steep driveway. Blind in one of the rooms doesn’t work therefore unable to use that room.

Comfortable beds and very clean. Great views and a grand piano!!!

The view and the homely feel of the house. The house was very warm and comfortable.
Driveway and the owners car storage location. Not much room to manoeuvre our large vehicle.

I loved this property, was exactly like the pictures, it was warm and cosy, great location for us, the instructions for check in were clear and easy to follow, wished we had more time, would definitely stay there again🙏❤

House was cosy, well stocked with things we needed for the stay. An electrical fuse blew on our first day there, wiping out some electrical plugs and heating, but the host called in an electrician on the next working day to rectify it. The grand piano in the living room was a nice bonus!
House interior design is a little dated with hot/cold water taps separate, i.e you could never get warm water at the same time - either freezing on one side and burning hot on the other.

Great position
Not the place to be in winter...it was a freezing cold house. The heating was very insufficient.
4.2
The view is great, there's a piano. Basic provisions are provided and a well stocked kitchen.
Very busy road between the house and the water, thought it would be peaceful. No heating in any of the bedrooms, in June it was below zero. All felt very dated, pink plastic spa with carpet on the side. I also struggled to get the only heater to work, some instructions would be good. It blasts out cold air for ages before making heat if the lounge is very cold.

It was cold come on guys it’s done even it’s cold and windy there is no heaters in any of the bedrooms all the kitchen apart from one small electric heater sort it out
4.2
The view, but driveway was horrible, barely any signage to state where to go, spa was the main thing I was keen on lol what a waste , it didnt even work
I put the key bk in the lock box, befire I left. Now they threatened i owe 250 after my car was broken into and damaged on there premises, house was messy and smells like cigarettes, there was butts all infront of the garage, which it states is smoke free lol went here 4 a relaxing holiday just to be landed a bill I never caused for a $10 key $250 what a bloody joke , lounge smelt like pee, and there was stacks of rubbish outside

great views. partially updated bathrooms. new washing machine and drier. well equipped kitchen.
hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived but sorted quickly and refund offered. Spa bath didn’t work nor bottom drawer of dishwasher. great outside deck and fire pit…but no outside furniture…

location
the water pressure in the shower was very low.
