The Red Door Lakeside sits high upon the ridge overlooking Barren River Lake in Scottsville, KY. A 2400sf farmhouse-style home, the Red Door Lakeside has 3 floors, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and sleeps 8 comfortably. All furnishings have been purchased or handcrafted specifically for the comfort of our guests.
INSIDE
Guests enjoy Mellanni luxury sheets as well as luxury pillows, mattresses and fluffy towels. A spacious farmhouse kitchen stocked with kitchenware and bakeware is perfect for creating family meals to be enjoyed at the handcrafted black walnut dining table for 8. The great room has a 65" TV and is part of the main level open floor plan designed for gathering together. The family game room includes a 55" TV, board games, and a farm-themed children's' play nook with books and toys. Every bedroom has a TV. The top floor offers king and queen bedrooms and individual bathrooms. The third bedroom, on the lower level, is a "bunk room" with 2 queen beds and its own bathroom. The half-bath is on the main level.
OUTSIDE
A screened porch, open air deck, and Sleeping Porch are lakeside. The screened porch offers traditional outside furniture. The open deck includes a firetable for romantic nights and sharing memories. The Sleeping porch includes a handcrafted bedswing as well as other comfy furniture. The farmhouse front porch rockers and swing provide a farm setting and a fun change of pace. A Weber gas grill and fire table round out the amenities. Enjoy Corn Hole and Ladder Ball under the stars! For all our Corvette owning guests, the paved driveway provides smooth simple parking for 4. For all our boat owners...there is ample boat parking and Baileys Point boat ramp is only 1.8 miles from the property.

We were thrilled with this property. 3 levels. All very clean and well decorated. We had everything we could need. The downstairs bonus room with the games and extra bedrooms was the best place to hang out and enjoy some fun with all my friends. We loved the sleeping porch so much! So much a great space. Overall Tammy was an amazing host and was very accessible during our stay. 10/10 would recommend staying here again.

The place is a little slice of heaven! It is fully stocked with everything you could need. Beautifully decorated and Tammy has thought of all the details. 4 college friends looking for rest and relaxation and we hardly left the house, didn’t want to! Had to call Tammy to change out a gas tank for the fire table and she was there in 10 minutes-an amazing host. If you want a place that is perfect-stay at the Red Door!

The minute you walk through the door you notice extra care given in every detail. Everything says “welcome and relax.”. Communication with host was the best we’ve ever experienced. Special little touches like a welcome bag with cookies from a local bakery or items in the pantry gives you the feeling your host is happy to have you.

The Red Door is the perfect place to host a large gathering! The house is designed for entertaining with a large, open kitchen and multiple gathering places both indoor and outdoor. The house was very clean and Tammy is super helpful and responsive. If we ever find ourselves in the area again we will definitely stay at the Red Door!

We were at the Lake for my oldest brothers birthday and 80 member family reunion. What a wonderful time we had. The Red Door Lakeside had everything we needed to feel at home, plus a beautiful view. We appreciated the spotless clean house and it’s amenities. The kids loved the toys and we all played board games. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen that had everything we needed and the bed sheets felt like butter!

Girls trip!
Boating, relaxation and fellowship! This property was perfect for all of the above. We enjoyed the porches, the bedding was amazing, there were plenty of bathrooms for six women, the attention to detail and personalization was perfect. It was like we were at home! We will definitely be back!
Thanks to Tammie for her hospitality. She is the perfect host. We head a slight hiccup with the gas grill and she and her husband immediately responded and took care of it! It was awesome.

Nice new farmhouse with a great view
Very clean, modern and like new farmhouse. No pack and play, but a high chair. There is no direct water access, but the park is 5 min away with a boat dock and beach. Family had a great time and the owner was very helpful.

When we pulled up to the property, the exterior of the house looked exactly the way I expected from the pictures—we recognized the red door right away!! I loved all of the extra touches that really made the Red Door Lakeside feel like a home away from home. The house was incredibly clean & the beds were all AMAZINGLY comfortable. Our four year old was well entertained by all of the amenities in the game nook & I enjoyed the books!! The host checked on us several times to see if we needed anything & provided some great recommendations for activities. If our family makes it back to the area again, we would definitely stay there again.

The sweetest stay!
This weekend was wonderful! Tammy and Keith's home is just beautiful, it is clean, equipped with all your needs and all with a beautiful view of Barren. Tammy coordinated a gift for us with our "retirees" retirement agents from Argi which was such a sweet surprise and so nice! And we cannot forget to mention the sheets! We have teased for years that one of our "retirees" is a sheet snob and before we left the cabin she had ordered a set of the Mellani sheets online! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us for a fun, snowy and cold weekend!

There are no words to express how satisfied we are with Tammy!!! From the booking process through the end of the trip she was there for us. Her hospitality, her kindness made our trip the best. I rented her property to surprised my husband for his birthday and it turned out wonderful!!!😊😊😊😍😍😍. Tammy was so helpful giving ideas like places to go, eat she even hung up a birthday banner for him!!!!! She ordered a cake and ballon for him!!! The house omg!!! Beautiful decorated, super clean. The view is awesome. You feel soooo relaxing that you don’t want to go back home. Sad we did had to. Everything is beautiful decorated that and soo perfect that you feel you are in paradise!!! Great Experience
My wife and I met some old friends for a weekend trip and had a great time! The owner was very easy to work with and accommodating. I can't say enough good things about the actual home. We were snowed in one of the days, and still had a great time catching up and playing board games in the game room area. If you're looking for a nice home in the area, I couldn't recommend this place enough!

The house is absolutely beautiful, and Tammy was a fantastic host! The Christmas decor was a very nice touch, and the kids, parents, and grandparents in my group were all very comfortable during our stay. Everything was extremely clean. Our jaws dropped when we opened that red door. We loved everything about this cute house. The hostess had even decorated the house for the fall season. It just felt like home only better. The furnishings were beautiful, but more importantly comfortable. The outside porches were just as beautiful. We enjoyed the fire table that was perfect in the fall weather. We also took advantage of the books that were available for reading. Tammy you should give lessons on providing guests with the perfect experience. You’ve got it down girl!!!
