About this cabin rental
The McKinney Creek Cabin is a magnificent Log Cabin in McKinney Estates - This beautiful property consists of two homes; the main house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms; the guest house over the garage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The main house boasts a large living area downstairs, complete with flatscreen TV, DVD player, gas fireplace, game table, 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen, the second bedroom has another queen size bed along with a twin bunk bed. There's also a common bathroom with a shower stall in the hall, stone and wood floors throughout, and a large back deck overlooking McKinney Creek. Upstairs is the kitchen, complete with everything you'll need to cook your favorite meal, formal dining room, sitting area, balcony, the primary bedroom which has a queen size bed and its own balcony, along another full bathroom with shower stall in the common area. The last balcony is just off the kitchen with a gas BBQ.
The main house is equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, WIFI internet, games and plenty of sitting areas.
The guest house above the garage features a good-sized living space, a partial kitchen, a table for games, a small dining area, 2 more bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed, and 1 full bathroom with a shower stall in the common area. The dining room table can comfortably seat 4 people, and there's also a television with cable, DVD and VCR players, gas woodstove, and a deck with a table and chairs (summer months only).
There is level access to this home and room to park one car in the garage and three more cars in the driveway.
Due to the unique construction of this log cabin, the upstairs bedroom walls do not reach the ceiling, the walls are of regular height, but they are open to the ceiling. Sound could easily travel from the living areas into the bedrooms.

We LOVED this cabin and it was perfect for our group of 12. The inside is adorable and there is a back deck with a table and beautiful views, we loved hanging out there! It's walking distance to Chambers which is so great, and 2 of the bedrooms are in a separate in-law unit which was perfect for us as we had a few folks with jet lag who wanted more quiet.

This is a beautiful log cabin in a great location. Nice living room and deck areas for gathering. However, the house was so very noisy. Especially the upstairs main room that doesn't have a ceiling. This was disclosed in the listing. The bathrooms also left a lot to be desired. Overall, this would still be a good house for the right group.

We had 11 people which included 4 kids this past weekend. The snow was beautiful this past weekend as well. The kitchen was equipped with anything you could possibly need to cook for a bunch of people. The house above the garage was also very nice!
The house did get very very warm with the fireplace on the whole time since you can't turn off the gas valve. This wasnt too much of a problem since we could just open some windows. The only 2 problems we did have were the downstairs shower did not drain and flooded within minutes and the upstairs shower in the main house only dripped out water so it was unable to be used. Other than that we were very happy and for sure want to come back to this house in the summer.

This neighborhood and home were exactly what we were looking for. We have a large family and having two cabins on the same property was perfect! We were able to put one family in the smaller cabin and the other family in the main house. There was plenty of space for all of us in the main house, but it was nice being able to spend some alone time with just our family in the smaller cabin as we have younger children that required an earlier bedtime. The house was stunning with beautiful woodwork throughout and detailed decorations in every room. The location was AMAZING as well. We had a stream just out our back door and was within walking distance to the public part of the Chamberland’s Beach and not to mention the bar (I highly recommend the Chambers Punch). Then just down the street there were several hiking trails that lead us to absolute beauty and relaxation and was easy for everyone in the family including the kids! We will be renting this property again!

This was my second time booking this house and it still holds up! We had 1 baby, 1 kid, and 8 adults and it had plenty of room for all of us to not feel cramped. We all had a place to comfortably sleep and shower. This is one of my favorite houses because the kitchen has literally everything you'd need to cook for multiple days for a bunch of people. The living room leather couch is super comfortable, the TV is a great size, and the giant dining table upstairs is the best. Very clean upon arrival. Bonus points for me is the baby gate thats upstairs! It could use a sanding down as a couple of us for splinters but it was life saving. The house above the garage is also great! I stayed there so the baby could nap and also keep his bedtime without being bothered by the others. We had an issue with some of the light fixtures and a sink and prop mngmt was there the best day to help. I've already decided I'm booking this every year for our family snow trips.

Large house, but less than we expected
Space was great and as advertised, however the beds were very uncomfortable and there weren't a lot of the amenities you'd expect in a home at this price. It was a place to sleep and hang out, but we're happy to be home and in our own beds!

My family and I enjoyed our trip here, it had recently just snowed so there was a lot of snow in the back yard to play in which we enjoyed. The only thing is that we believed we were going to be able to use all of the garages but we were only able to use one
