Whether you are looking for a place to relax or you have an adventure-packed trip planned to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, look no further than our 2 bedroom cabin, centrally located to both the lake and Chimney Rock. We have comfortable, clean beds that can sleep up to 4 with a king bed and a queen bed. We have plenty of outdoor living spaces to enjoy, so even in a cozy cabin, everyone will feel like they have space to breathe!

The Space:
Porch Time cabin has an open living space with the living, kitchen, and dining areas with access to both the screened front porch and the sunny back porch. The master suite has a king bed, ensuite bathroom, and access to the porch as well. The queen bedroom has a beautiful view of the front porch perfect for your guests. There is a hallway bathroom with a full shower. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking essentials and has enough room to prepare all your meals! The laundry room is available for guest use which is where you'll find the iron and life jackets.

Guest Access:
The home is occupied only by guests. You'll have access to the entire home with exception of the garage.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is located conveniently between Lake Lure and Chimney Rock with access to hiking, the lake, golf, boating, and shopping. Guests of Porch Time have access to the Lake Lure Village Resort beach area. This includes a designated kayak for guests. Downtown Asheville and the Asheville airport are 45 minutes away.

Getting Around:
While the resort neighborhood is walkable, a vehicle is required to get around.

Interaction with Guests:
We are available to guests through the messaging system or phone call. While we typically don't see our guests, we are happy to answer any questions or make recommendations to make it a great getaway!

Great location to every thing at Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. House was clean and the beds slept amazing. Dog friendly my pups enjoyed the back porch and the front porch so did we. If we get back to that area will definitely rent again. Only thing was the clay was right at front steps and we had rain so we tried not to track in the house.

This cabin was very new, very clean, and beautifully decorated. Perfect for a small family. The kitchen was well-appointed. The location in Lake Lure was GREAT. Close to Chimney Rock State Park, Chimney Rock Village, and a short drive to Asheville and Hendersonville. The neighborhood was quiet and full of wildlife like deer and bunnies! Loved the access in the neighborhood to Chimney Rock hiking trails. The addition of a gas grill on the deck would have been very welcomed.

We had a great time! The beds were so comfy and the cabin was so clean! We had a slight issue with the tv, but it didn’t really affect our stay!! Would definitely stay here again!!

Jon’s cabin is nice, cozy and within walking distance to the lake. (The cabin is in a gated community, without the feeling of being overdeveloped.) The beds are really comfortable. Overall location is great—close to parks and trails and a cool little town is just 10 minutes away. Jon is also a very responsive host.

Beautiful cabin. Loved the screened porch and kitchen. Huge master bedroom and nice bath. Only issue was length of time to get hot water. Nicely decorated. More info on “ walk to beach” would be helpful( like what street(s) to turn on. Overall a happy stay! Lake water was terrific!

Enjoyed our visit to Chimney Rock. The cabin is at a great location to visit both Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. It is in a nice, quiet gated community and is in excellent condition. It was larger than expected, both the living space and bedrooms. Would recommend the cabin to anyone. The fees were not all anticipated when booking the property. Had a refundable damage deposit that did not appear until final booking -- a first for me with VRBO properties. It was refunded after the stay. The pet fee was separate and not applied at initial booking, so was not expecting it afterward. Pet fees are common and I overlooked it in the listing, and notice the owner has made it more apparent in the property listing. Host was responsive and checked in appropriately during the visit.

This was a beautiful location, very peaceful and dog friendly. Quick walk to the lake and waterfall behind the house. Beds were comfy and accommodations were complete with everything you need. Close to Chimney Rock and shops. Definitely will come back!

Beautiful property! Very clean, beautiful surroundings, great kitchen (no blender), comfortable beds,... FYI...there are no close grocery stores so get your supplies before you arrive. Great communication with owner...very helpful! WIFI is slow in case you are planning to work.

This property checked off all of the boxes I was looking for and them some. Easy reservation and check in process, house was immaculate and the decor was breathtaking. All pine paneling make it feel super cozy, king size master bed was just right for my wife who has back issues. The only negatives I can think of are: 1). No toaster in the kitchen (there is a toaster oven in the pic gallery but it was not there. Made bagels for breakfast but baking them in the oven was sufficient). 2). A television/Dish setup in the second bedroom would have been appreciated as my son spent most of his time in there. Overall and excellent property. Would be happy to recommend and will be back in the future.

We had a great stay at this AWESOME cabin at Lake Lure. Although it rained most of the time we were there, we still had a great stay getting some much needed relaxation and unwinding. The cabin was very clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. The screened in front porch and back deck were great as well. We loved being in the mountains but just a short drive to shopping and restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying at this cabin for a great long weekend trip to the mountains or a longer vacation.

Location was great, close to Chimney Rock State Park and an hour drive from Dupont State Forest. The cabin itself was very nice. We enjoyed the large screened-in front porch. A brazier or fire pit with seating around it would've been even better but apparently they're not allowed here. The cabin is also a newer build so there isn't any grass, just gravel and wood chips so if you have a pup that's picky on where they do their business, it might be a bit of an inconvenience. Most importantly it was a clean home-away-from-home for us and the king bed was extremely comfortable! We were traveling with our not yet potty trained toddler so it was nice to be able to wash our clothes at the cabin.

Enjoyed our stay! Good location - just a few minutes to the lake and Chimney Rock. Home was very clean and well stocked, including soap and shampoo in the bathrooms. The resort beach isn’t too far from the cabin - a short walk. It has a small beach area with chairs and umbrellas. The host was good with communication for checking in on us. We had no issues. It was great for the three of us and two dogs.
