We loved our stay!

Cabin was sufficiently stocked and the community amenities are good for kids especially.

Owner is very friendly. The place is beautiful and a great private location. The hot tube is amazingly clean and the gated porch was so much help with our dog. Absolutely no complaints here.

Me and my family came to this property for Labor Day weekend and it was very nice cabin. I love how it sits in the mountains with lots of privacy. The description basically describes the features exactly. There is a rocky dirt road to get to the cabin so be aware when traveling. Great restaurants near by and all activities are within minutes from the cabin including the lake and beach. We had a blast kayaking, ATV riding, outdoor escape room and horseback riding. Great overall experience for our first cabin trip!!

Well appointed, comfortable, spacious cabin with all the modern amenities, tucked into a beautiful wooded private reserve. It was great to unwind and de-stress without "roughing it." We enjoyed just relaxing surrounded by nature in full beauty in a most scenic setting, while being just a short drive to good restaurants and fun activities. We wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended.

The cabin was very clean and as advertised. The hot tub is a short walk around the back of the house.

We had a very nice stay. The cabin was very clean, and had all the essentials we needed for a two night getaway.
4.7
The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed.
It could have used a few board games. I did find the xbox but did not want to loose my grandson to video games glad it was in a drawer.
Private but not isolated. Quiet neighborhood. As for the driveway, Yes it is a little bit of a challange but RWD back in. FWD forward in. Other reviews said lots of bugs/spiders NONE. Nice home we enjoyed our stay.

It was very very nice could use another frying pan and another bread pan just an idea

This property is a charming log home on a long gravel incline. It is the quietest stand of woods that I have ever been in. Easy access to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. The kitchen is "Everything you need and nothing you don't!"

What a great cabin in a great location. I wish I could add pics. We came late Oct and the drive to the cabin and all around the cabin was exceptional. We spent each morning and evening on the comfortable swing taking in the colors and seeing deer and turkey. The woods behind the cabin were great for hiking and taking the dogs on short walks. The entire area is beautiful,

cabin was neat, but the long gravel road up to the cabim needs to be upgraded, drive way to cabin too steep ,2 concrete strips for the width of tires were needed to make it up the drivway, if you off the strips your tires wood spin in the gravel

After we checked out, they charged us $140 via the “incidentals and damages” even though there were no damages. They said it was a cleaning fee that was in our contract. I spoke with VRBO and they confirmed that there was no such thing stated in the contract. However, I was still charged. They said they would dispute it and I haven’t heard back. I contacted the host and haven’t heard back. I was also charged an “additional person” fee of $10 and we didn’t not have additional people. Eight is the max and we had 6. So watch out. You will be over charged and there’s apparently nothing you can do about it.

The location is great with many activities nearby. The property is very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need. We thoroughly enjoyed the solitude and were able to get quality rest. This is our third time in 6 years coming to this lovely cabin. This was our first Spring trip. The cabin was as wonderful as it was on our last trip last summer. It is in Riverbend which is a quiet peaceful area with a beautiful lake and we would love to retire here one day. Cabin is cozy, comfortable and clean. Beds are comfortable and each morning we enjoy coffee on the front porch swing while our dogs enjoy the yard. After coffee we take a good 20-minute hike behind the cabin into the woods with the dogs. This cabin is in such a quiet peaceful spot we look forward to our next visit.

We visited the cabin at the property, this past weekend. The cabin was nice on the outside, the yard was very small, just large enough for one vehicle to park in and others would need to park in the drive way. We walked in and nice at first to look at the basic nothing special. The towels and wash cloths didn’t match and were very old, and over used, the good thing is, we brought our own. We started seeing roaches in the bathroom and later in the kitchen and dining room area. We read in previous reviews about the bugs, and they to be expected in the woods. But…..Then roaches on the sofa, and large black spiders in multi areas down stairs, was just too much. Last straw, A Large spider on the blinds in the bedroom downstairs. The bed in the downstairs bedroom slats were to short, for the bed frame, so the bed continue to fall down. When I sat on the bed it fell, ( I’m only 145lbs) when my husband laid down after killing spiders the bed fell down again. We fixed it and still continue to fall when he sat down on the bed. The instructions stated to take your trash to the trash compactor. We couldn’t take the roaches and large spiders anymore, so At 10:15pm at night after multi times of the bed falling down and large spiders we left, we didn’t see the trash compactor, so we had to take our trash back home with us. In the instructions it stated on one page to leave a certain amount of cash or check for cleaning fee for the housekeeper Angela, then on the second page of instructions it said to leave another amount with, a check or cash or Zelle to another housekeeper Jill. We left money for cleaning fee for Angela on the countertop in the kitchen. This was ridiculous!!! Not sure what they are going to clean, if they clean at all, we only used the downstairs, and I cleaned that myself. It was the worst cabin Valentines weekend stay we have ever experience. I wouldn’t recommend this cabin to my worst enemy!!!!! Stay away!!!
