this is a clean, refreshed but still rustic home. we met family here, 5 adults (85-20 yo) and a 17 yo and two dogs. we enjoyed our stay overall but had a few issues. it’s about fit with your needs. pros: loved dogs allowed, fenced yard, 4 comfy beds!, clean, good location to explore, tidy quiet neighborhood, nice fans, nice window coverings to keep sun and light out, 1 room AC unit upstairs, big couches and enough seating, great tv viewing, ice machine in fridge, con’s/fyi: layout is maximized but a bit tight. passing lanes r tight, headroom in upstairs bedroom was so constrained bc of the steep A rafters and the wide king bed that we changed up who would take that room twice—it seemed too difficult to navigate for my mother in law with the stairs and headroom, and someone else 5’10” hit their head pretty hard, it is not spacious bc of that headroom, there’s a staircase to access the home, fairly steep stairs to go upstairs with a light metal railing, kitchen is ok for light cooking but pans r scratched up and there’s no overhead fan, hot tub was clean but we did not use bc water level looked low and smelled too strong of chlorine, front gate is framed in wood w/heavy gauge metal fencing material we had a couple interactions with this gate that caused injuries due to the metal points sticking out. we told host about and who was communicative but not too concerned. we had a good stay but i think it was a bit tight for us. it could be a better fit for others.

My friends and I stayed two nights and it was our first time renting everything was very clean once we arrived, everything listed was accurate as well. Great communication with owners and had no issues during our stay there. The WiFi worked very good and we had everything we needed. The location is very peaceful and has beautiful scenery. The check in process was super easy we had so much fun so I definitely recommend to anyone else looking for a great place to stay for a vacation. Neighbors seemed very polite and friendly. We also saw a baby bear running through the neighborhood and that was super cute.

The cabin and location were perfect for our family. The dogs loved the enclosed yard and the dogs and kids loved the trail network in through the forest only a few blocks away. There was plenty of space for our family to have a great time

The house was really nice and spacious. Kitchen was well equipped and had nice appliances. Beds were very comfy. The yard was very securely fenced, which was great for the dogs, and the hot tub was clean and big enough to comfortably fit our group of 7. Overall very happy with the place and definitely recommend for traveling with dogs!

The house was nice except for the fact it was not cleaned upon our arrival. After several calls to VRBO and the owner, the cleaners came but we had to wait 3-4 hours after check-in time for it to be ready. Even then, parts of the home were not cleaned and not stocked with extra toilet paper. We got a small refund which was helpful. The location is great- lots of beautiful trails nearby. The hot tub and fenced in yard was great.

Highly recommend this property if you have a close group of friends with pups looking for a great Tahoe weekend. So close to the casinos/restaurants and Heavenly ski resort. The communication was so easy and they always picked up whenever I needed anything. The backyard was great for the pups to play in the snow.
One thing I'd suggest is having the walk way to the door on the porch cleared of ice before check-in because it can be a little slippery when the ice freezes over. Overall, great stay!

Very clean, updated cabin, as pictured. Bed was a little firm. Enjoyed the hot tub and yard for the dog. Kitchen had basic appliances and a few spices.

We had a great time staying here, and doing all the hikes close by! One of the few places that was okay with our 3 dogs!

Horrible stay - AVOID!!!
TL, DR: Owner scammed us by saying there is an AC, but none working. Then proceeded fo gaslight us about it.
We were traveling with family, and I had my infant with me and we figured in the CA summer we need AC specially for the infant.
We found this listing based on the FACT that there was AC in the home.
However, when we arrived, we saw that on the bottom floor there is no AC, as it was written on the thermostat downstairs. On the top floor, there is an AC unit which may as well be for show purposes. It did not work AT ALL. We set the temperature on the unit at 64F and it did NOT cool the small room even a degree. It was 87F upstairs!! My infant was dehydrated! We had to use every single fan in the house constantly to have it even be livable. We tried to get out of the house as early in the morning as possible and come back as late as could so that we didnt have to stay in that sauna of a house.
Upon reaching Cory(the lister/owner) on the first day to ask for help with the air conditioning, he told us that we should open the windows!
Then proceeded to gaslight me by saying “have you turned it on? Have you used the remote? It was working 2 days ago”
Then offered to send someone from management (whoever that is). That person never showed up. Then Cory tells us he doesn't understand what the problem is and that the home being at 87F was not an issue.
Again i had to explain what an Air Conditioner is, and thats when he said he would send someone AT THE TIME OF OUR CHECKOUT ON THE LAST DAY!
I don’t know why the lister would scam people this way. We had just wanted to spend time with our family visiting from the east coast, and it ended up being a horrible stay.
To Cory, please leave the service industry if you just are here to scam people.

Perfect for Everyone
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location was great for easy access to downtown via Pioneer Trail, and to our favorite beaches (Kiva) and water activities (Camp Richardson). The trails that were walking distance from the house were perfect for nearby adventures with our dogs. The neighborhood was super quiet and nice for evening walks. The secure fence around the yard (which attached to the deck) made our pups feel comfortable and allowed them to safely hang out with us outside. The outdoor seating area on the deck was fabulous and had a lovely view of the trees and a peek at the mountain! The arrangement of rooms and bathrooms, kitchen and living area was absolutely perfect for our needs. It was beautifully updated and very clean. I would highly recommend this cabin!

Perfect place for a weekend getaway to Tahoe with pets
We visited Tahoe as a group of 3 families with 4 dogs and an infant and had a very nice stay. Dogs had a good backyard to play and burn their energy. Had a fun evening grilling in the backyard too.

Underwhelmed
House doesn’t have much natural light. Beds were too soft for us. Hot tub was only tepid the second day of our 3 night stay. I had to clean the counters upon arrival, overall the house did not feel very clean. We were underwhelmed with the house based on what we paid per night.

Clean and cozy
Great cozy vacation home. Great for a group of friends or a family. We’ll-appointed with cookware, comfortable beds. We loved the fireplace and smart tv for a movie night, and appreciated the very dog friendly space (even a dog bed was provided!). We didn’t use the hot tub, but checked it out and it was nice and clean. Cleanliness was key here - the housekeeper does a very nice job keeping this home spotless. We’d definitely stay again - super responsive and helpful host.

Good house and stay but annoying to get deposit back
We had a pleasant stay at the house until we checked out. We followed all the check out rules but then did not get our deposit fully back because "not all the dishes in the dishwasher were clean". The host charged us extra for his cleaners to wash the 10 bowls that didn't get fully cleaned by the dishwasher. We had to argue with the host (who was incredibly unresponsive at this point) and reach out to VRBO directly to get our deposit back and a response in general. The reason the dishes were not all clean were because the dishwasher they have must not be working correctly, which we could not know and was explained over and over but took way too long to get our money finally back or even get a response from the host.
This leads to the question of, what are you even paying a high cleaning fee for? Also, if your utilities are not working, you have to let us know prior so we don't follow your check out instructions and then get charged for that. Please update and check your utilities and do not charge guests for your faulty utilities .

Great little place
It was a 4 bedroom house but it was cozy enough for just 2 of us and 2 dogs. It was a great location and neighborhood was super quiet. We appreciated the enclosed fence for our dogs to play.

Great House for a family and dogs
The house was clean and stocked with plenty of paper products and showers had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. We had 5 adults and two dogs and were very comfortable. Great well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was clean and hot for us upon arrival and the fireplace was on as well. Beds are comfortable and the couch is large and comfortable too.
A note on the yard: It’s fully fenced and perfect for dogs. Enough room to play fetch and run around. For our stay, the recent storm activity made the yard unusable for play because it was packed with snow and Ice. That’s in no way the fault of anyone but just fyi for planning. There is a nice area to take the dogs down on Elks Club Dr and Emerald Bay Rd with parking. There are also dog parks in town. Heavenly is 13 min away and a very easy drive.

Location, Location, Location
Great Location! Just a short scenic drive into town and the lake. If you got pets, it is 8 minutes from the great dog park.
The house has a high enclosed fence, see through, but new and high. I love the light sensors outside if you have to go to your vehicle at night. Very quiet and safe neighborhood.

Great spot in South Lake Tahoe!
We enjoyed our stay at this dog friendly retreat. We brought our two dogs and there was plenty of space to let them run around in the fully fenced backyard. We spent most of our time out on the deck which has a picnic table for seating.
We wanted to grill so I messaged Cory to ask if the grill was in working order and if there was propane and he got back to me right away with a yes. They even had an extra propane tank if necessary! The kitchen has everything you would need including a nice range, oven, spacious refrigerator, and all the utensils/appliances you’d have at your own home. There were 6 adults and we had plenty of plates/cups to use.
As for cleanliness, the place was spotless when we arrived. Both bathrooms are upgraded and had shampoo/conditioner/body wash with plenty of towels in the bathroom and in each of the bedrooms.
The neighborhood is nice and quiet if you are looking for a nice retreat. Would definitely recommend this place to any of our friends and we would return again. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely spot for a Tahoe visit
Cory’s place was everything one could look for in a rental property - clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. The kitchen was complete with cooking utensils, etc., and the fridge looked brand new. The towels were especially plush and I appreciated that they were laid out on all the beds when we arrived. Cory was very responsive which I really appreciated. A good find!

Great place to stay with family and pet
We had a great time! The place was clean and updated. We had 7 adults and 1 dog. Plenty of room for all of us. The fenced yard was great for our dog. Didn’t worry about her running off. Loved the location (close to downtown). Cory was great and very quick to respond. Thank you!

Great South Shore Stay
This rental home is so sweet and cozy. Plenty of room for a family + a furry friend. This was our first stay in south Lake Tahoe and we were not disappointed. Easy bike / hike trail access from the house and a quick drive to Bijou bike park. We ran into an issue with the hot tub and were really impressed with how responsive the host was in troubleshooting and ultimately resolving the issue - Cory didn't give up! Very comfortable stay - happy to have found a gem in SLT.

Weekend getaway
The perfect getaway to reset! House was clean and cozy! Owner was easy to communicate with at all times! We were able to sled walking distance from the house. The yard was great for bringing our pup and the town was a short drive from the house. We thought it was just the perfect place to cozy up by the fire, play cards and drink wine ☺️

Nice cabin close to Tahoe action
We had a nice time staying here for a couple nights. Everything was very clean and we felt like we got a great deal for the price. The location is good since anything you want is a 10 min drive away but you’re out of the hustle and bustle. The highlight was the hot tub on a snowy night. We slept in the loft which was spacious. Would definitely stay again.
