Be sure to bring your boat along to launch into the intracoastal waterway at the park right around the corner for a day of boating and fishing. The Matanzas Inlet is about 6 miles down the river and the Old City of St. Augustine is about 8 miles up river.

Every detail has been though of including library of books and games, outdoor tableware for a family cookout, and extra outdoor chairs for hanging out in the backyard. The open floor plan centers around a completely updated kitchen fully stocked with cookware, dishes and utensils, and a comfortably furnished living room with large flat-screen TV. We had a great experience at what my daughter has dubbed "the fishy house" (there are fish decor on the outside and lots of other cute beach-themed decor inside). The neighborhood is very quiet and well-maintained. The house is located close to the beach and a nice playground. We will be back again!

It was our first visit to the area and this adorable house was perfect for our needs. The house is close to the beach in a safe area with all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. The check in instructions were clearly communicated and the host was very responsive when we had questions. We recommend this listing and would stay again if we return to St. Augustine.

This very cute, beachy rental home is in a wonderful location, 5 minute walk to the Butler Beach, and easy access to main highway and shopping, dining, sight seeing. Check-in was stress free and easy. Check-out the same. We would recommend to anyone looking for a St. Augustine or Beach excursion.

Really enjoyed this home. Eye appealing and attractive, but also livable for active people, we weren't scared to really use it with tile floors. Practical kitchen that was well supplied with cooking utensils needed for a family that cooked most meals. Clean and comfortable, everyone slept well. Easy walk to the beach with protected pedestrian crossing. Good work!

Picked the grandkids up from central FL and drove to St. Augustine Beach to Windswept Cottage at Windswept Beach. Quiet neighborhood and Winn Dixie and Publix about 2 miles north.
House had everything we needed except breakfast! Rode the bikes, played at nearby playground and enjoyed a game of Monopoly. House equipped with plenty of televisions, books, games. Been remodeled but the tongue-and-groove pine retained for a cottage feel. W/D , beach wagon, towels etc available. Great stay.

Our second time staying at this jewel of a beach house, just one of the prettiest and best supplied properties we have had the pleasure of renting. The management is always incredibly prompt at answering any questions that arise and both this year and last year they came out within 24 hours to replace the propane tank on the outdoor grill when we ran out of gas. There are tons of beach supplies out in the garage, including boogie boards and coolers and chairs and umbrellas and BIKES! Very close to the beach, I don't walk very well anymore, but even I managed to do it one time this year (there is a car drop off available, and my husband or son usually drops me off there). Toughest part is crossing A1A, but it all depends on the time of day.
If you have the time to check out the kitchen before you go out shopping, you may find that past renters have left nonperishables like oil, seasonings, flour, paper plates and plastic utensils, aluminum foil or plastic wrap, etc. We do a LOT of cooking rather than dining out, so we still bring a couple of pots and pans with us when we come, but it really is quite well supplied. They do leave you some toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags to start you off with. And both times that we've been there, there is an older refrig in the garage which was great for storing beverages in. There has usually been some laundry supplies also. We actually ended up putting in an offer on a house in Palm Coast this year while we were renting, but if we weren't buying in the area, the Windswept Beach House would always be our first choice for rental!

We left the kids home this trip but the backyard is fantastic if you bring yours.

A nice house with all the amenities. The neighborhood was quiet. Close to the beach. We spent most of our time out and about as there is much to see in the area. It was always pleasant to return at the end of day to the quiet. Never turned on the tv. Brought our own books to read. We are talking about a return trip for the same time next year. We found no need to call the property manager.

We came into town to eat first, then headed over to house @4pm, location was definitely great and the setting was absolutely perfect. 6 of us. House is in great shape, all the necessities are there for you. You can access so many things within distance of a quick drive. Winn Dixie about 5 mins away. Roughly 15 mins to downtown St Augustine.
In-laws and wife loved it. If it had a pool, you would definitely be in heaven. Will love to stay again here if possible in the near future,
who knows. No negatives here, could have a fresh coat of paint, but it looks great as it is. Thank you for having this open for us at that time. House is definitely maintained and worth the drive from Aiken SC to vacation at.

This was a great place to stay with family! A great backyard with a tree swing, grill, deck, picnic table and lots of space. The property had everything we needed including beach chairs, boogie boards, towels, corn hole game, indoor board games, even an outdoor shower. Beds were very comfy, showers are big and the kitchen was lovely with everything you need. Just a couple of minutes to beach access. We will book this property again!

We enjoyed the location and the quiet neighborhood. A few things need to be addressed regarding the property but we did let the owner know. Closeness to the beach and a crossing with warning lights for traffic was great!

The house and furnishings were exactly as represented on VRBO. There were a few minor issues (ex: toaster didn’t work unless you held down handle, problem with toilet in hall bathroom, not enough hot water for two people to take a shower a same time) that we’re brought to David’s attention after our stay which will more than likely be addressed for future guests.

Very happy with everything so far. Company has been prompt to respond to any questions we had during and after the booking process. Very grateful that we were able to check in as scheduled with our vacation starting shortly after Hurricane Ian moved through the area. The condition of the house matches the pictures, no 'unhappy surprises' so far.
