Kitchen
Your kitchen comes with granite countertops, all new, stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, and coffee maker. The gas range and stainless vent hood make this one of what we call our "chef's kitchens" because you will undoubtedly agree this is so much more than just a rental-caliber kitchen. We are committed to making your stay as close to like being "at home" as we can, so in addition to only the essential dishes, utensils, and cooking tools you'll need, we have provided some extras that will surprise you... right down to kabob skewers. Of course, a gas grill is included for BBQ connoisseurs (full propane tank attached with spare).
Great Room
The great room features a large living and dining area with a table suitable for seating 6. There's also a counter that will seat three if needed. The mountain-modern decor features a leather sofa and loveseat, hardwood floors, log-accented interiors, and a towering stone fireplace that passes through into the rec room. The main floor also features a high-definition flat-screen TV (equipped with DirecTV) and high fidelity sound system (bring your own music or listen to dozens of digital music channels provided by digital satellite).
The pool table in the adjacent rec room is surrounded by huge windows allowing you to enjoy the great outdoors and opens directly to the front or back patios. Just behind the cabin is a boardwalk deck leading you up into the trees where the firepit and hot tub are perched slightly elevated for full enjoyment of the long-range view beyond the cabin.
Main Floor
The rec room has a tastefully appointed set of bunk beds integrated into the design. Each bunk has a twin bed with luxury linens and towels.
Second Floor
Two king master suites equipped with down comforters and luxury linens.
Each bedroom has a small balcony porch and window viewing the front mountain view. Attached is an incredible en-suite bathroom that features a shower stall and a garden tub. Enjoy a vast picture window looking towards the rear of the cabin, which is hundreds of acres of forest. Winter visitors will even enjoy the heated tile flooring in the bathrooms.

Attention: Active Wildlife in the Area
Our area of WNC is currently experiencing increased wildlife activity, particularly from bears. While it’s a privilege to share our environment with these magnificent creatures, it’s essential that we all take precautions to ensure our safety and theirs.
Please follow these guidelines:
Secure all food and garbage: Bears are attracted to strong smells. Do not leave food in your car and reattach bungee cords to trash can lids every time.
Be aware of your surroundings: Stay alert, especially during dawn and dusk when wildlife is most active.
Avoid close encounters: If you see a bear or other wildlife, maintain a safe distance and do not approach.
Travel in groups: When possible, hike or explore with others, and make noise to alert animals of your presence. Keep dogs leashed at all times.
Your cooperation is crucial in maintaining a safe and harmonious environment for everyone. Thank you for your attention and care.

Spend 4 days at Fontana View 2. Views as beautiful as advertised. The living space was comfortable and spacious, perfect for family time. The two upstairs master suites were perfect to end the day. Will definitely book here again.

Have stayed at several rentals in the area, but none I would rent a second time. I’d come back to this one every year, though. Thanks for a wonderful vacation stay.

Peaceful Getaway
We had a lovely stay at this mountain resort and loved the location. It was peaceful and relaxing.
The view is absolutely stunning and we could have stayed on the porch the entire time. We did drive into Bryson City a few times and enjoyed the small town.
The drive up wasn’t made very clear in the listing. It’s winding and steep…a truck is your best best to get to the place…cars will work, but I could imagine it would be difficult in heavy rain or winter conditions.
The only complaints I had was the mattress could use updating, the upstairs bedrooms seemed to be stuffy at night, and the hot tub cover had a nest of fire ants.
Overall, the place was wonderful and I would stay again…I gave it 5 stars overall. You should definitely try this place.

Enjoyable
The property was nice but you can tell it was not someone's weekend home.....it was definitely a rental company. There were several things that were not maintained well. That being said, it was a wonderful time with amazing views. Very comfortable beds and a great location for outdoor activities. I would recommend this place with the understanding that it is in a rental pool and not a personal residence.

Great cabin in the mountains.
Great cabin with awesome views. Nice private setting with everything you need to get away.

Beautiful cabin and view, amenities a bit lacking
We would give this 5 stars based on the cabin and view, but how the amenities were portioned out and signs that list charges if something is damaged or taken felt cheap. We also have rental property in VRBO so we understand rental issues.
Dishwasher and washer soap pods counted out and put in baggies, no cleaning or disinfectant products available, limited number of dishes, glasses and cooking tools, remote for main TV missing, and charging by the hour if you check in early brought the perception of this beautiful cabin down to a motel feel.
We provide and at other 5 star rentals we’ve stayed in provide full size soaps, cleaning products, place settings for 10 , full set of cookware, bake ware, and if possible we let our guests check in and out beyond set times.
This is what a 5 star accommodation does to make you feel comfortable. I put the onus on the management company.
