This home gets more amazing every time. They have thought of everything! A new bonus this year was the lovely tea and coffee selection! The pictures do not do this home justice. Everything is clean, well stocked and the home is updated and well cared for. Wonderful booking process, excellent communication and all around perfect place for a stay in North Adams. Thank you again for hosting us!

We'd been to North Adams for day trips several times and came to appreciate both the natural beauty and friendly, artsy local culture. We thought it would be fun to spend the Christmas holiday there with family, and we were very pleased to find this house available!
What we didn't appreciate is that we'd be renting out essentially an entire bed and breakfast, which was a fantastic experience. The house itself is beautiful and decorated in old-timey fashion, although the kitchen is recently updated and well-equipped. The individual bedrooms are huge and most have their own en suite bathroom (with tubs/showers). Amusingly (since we rented the whole house), the rooms are numbered, so we could keep up the role-play that we were staying at an inn!
The house is within walking distance of pretty much everything in downtown North Adams (restaurants, grocery, Mass MoCA). I admit I was a bit worried it would be loud, but aside from churchbells, the house still felt pretty private. The only real downside to the location is that the house nextdoor---a similar beautiful Victorian mansion---is pretty run-down. Hopefully this will change in the future!
The property managers were kind and attentive, providing lots of info on things to do in the area along with useful tips (e.g., reservations for certain exhibits at Mass MoCA). We only had one minor snafu during our stay in which we were briefly locked out of the house, but the manager responded right away to resolve it quickly.

This is the third time that our group of friends has stayed at this fantastic house for Williams Homecoming weekend, and it is always a huge success. The house is clean and quiet and the managers are friendly and responsive. We love it! It has comfortable private rooms but plenty of common spaces to socialize. North Adams is a hidden treasure. It's hard to imagine staying anywhere else!

We loved our second stay here. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped. There are plenty of rooms for sitting, relaxing and visiting on the first floor. The number of bedrooms is just right for our family to have some solitude when we need it.
The location is perfect--close to restaurants, museums, hiking and biking trails. We hope to return. Thanks!

This is the second year that some friends and I have rented this beautiful spacious house for Williams College Homecoming weekend - it has enough bedrooms for everyone to have some privacy and get some rest, and enough comfortable common areas that we can sit around and talk and catch up. It's close enough to the campus and to the museum and everywhere else that it's very convenient, but still a little set apart on a quiet street. We love it and I hope we can come back soon!

the good - very well appointed kitchen, the best I've ever stayed at. as other reviews describe the kitchen is great with plenty of dish, glass and silver-ware, pots and tools, oil and vinegar, coffee and sugar, blender, bar tools, etc... Bedrooms are large, with good sized closets, beds were comfortable and clean. Bathrooms are decent sized too. Large, handsome dining room and entryway and a couple large sitting rooms if you need them. All was clean.
The bad: the water has a bad sulfur-y flavour, you'll probably want to bring some.
The smoke alarms throughout the house went off in the middle of the night (of course!)(5:00am). I called the numbers listed and was only able to leave a voicemail message after being redirected by the answering service. Most people would have called 911 and been forced outside, into the cold, for who knows how long?! We probably should have too but I have hardwired alarms in my house and so have some experience with this type of system. Not finding a triggering source we figured out that it was probably a malfunctioning smoke detector which we were able to disconnect to stop the alarm. The alarm panel in the entryway was not functioning - the number to call listed on it led to a national monitoring service that suggested that there was no account active for the address - no help there! The response from the property manager took about 2 hours. Glenn eventually came, offered no apologies, reinstalled the offending smoke detector. We had him come back and replace the detector since its lights were flashing differently than the others on the system. We were nervous we would have a replay of the previous night! He came promptly and replaced it with a temporary, non-hardwired detector and also fixed an electrical problem that had killed the power in one of the bathrooms. Our last night was uneventful. There was an apology offered through the vrbo system from the host, but no refund/credit.
The road is somewhat noisy - since the house is on a hill cars with noisier exhaust systems need to work to climb the hill. There are street lights right outside the windows of the 2 front bedrooms and only non-room-darkening shades in the room I stayed in. More light comes into a 3rd bedroom from the library next door.
Only 1 hallway thermostat for the 2nd flloor, with doors all closed the rooms get quite warm before the heat reaches it.
The 4th bathroom is marginal, not en-suite.

We enjoyed it very much and was even more wonderful than we anticipated. Everything was clean and the place had everything we could possible need. My oldest daughter was ready to move in permanently. LOL It was so cozy and room for everyone to have their own quiet spot. Would definately stay there again but for a longer time.

This is a really great property. North Adams is a quiet city/ town tucked away in the Berkshires but very close to museums and an easy drive to Tanglewood. Our family gathering was very comfortable in this property. Plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is well appointed and has plenty of cooking prep space. Close to grocery stores and restaurants! We throughly enjoyed our time spent at the house.

Beautiful and large house was excellent for our group. Our only issue was the heat as the house has no A/C and we visited during a heat wave, but otherwise it was terrific.

We enjoyed our stay. The home is beaitful and well appointed. We do wonder if a couple of heat pumps upstairs may be useful for the warmest days... Our only suggestion. Otherwise the stay and setting were perfect.

We had so much fun staying here! The house was perfectly spacious for our family--places to be together and spaces to be alone. The house is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped. North Adams is a fun town--museums, restaurants, used book store and YMCA. We hope to go back to this home soon.

Great old Victorian!
We loved this house! Our group ended up smaller than originally planned, but there would be plenty of space for a larger group of friends or a family. We are hoping to stay here again on our next trip to the area. Aimee was very responsive to communications. Large, redone kitchen was a pleasant surprise! The Northern Berkshires is a great area with plenty of activities and the house was an easy access point for all of them!

The house is beautiful and historic, but also comforrable and roomy and so very liveable.
It was easy to book and communicate with the host. The house was lovely, great kitchen and dining area, plenty of room for folks to spread out and relax and then gather for meals and convo. Walked to Mass Moca, and had great takeout from Grazie ristorante. Highly recommend this property!

A group of friends and I rented this beautiful house for Williams College homecoming weekend, and it was fantastic. The house is so spacious, with so many places where people could sit and talk. Also, it is just beautiful inside - the pictures are amazing but they can't do justice to the character of this house. Plenty of parking was a real bonus too! We all loved it, and as a way of catching up with old friends it was so much better than a bunch of separate hotel rooms. I hope we're able to go again soon!

Biking trip to North Adams
We enjoyed the house. Lovely architectural gem with loads of space. Easy to walk to grocery store, museums, restaurants. Air conditioning would have been great the first night but the ceiling fans helped. Luckily it cooled down for the next few nights. The kitchen is great. Wonderful appliances and well stocked.
