Nothing, the hotel was disgusting, firstly when we arrived we got told their was a problem with the room so had to walk nearly half a mile away to Grainger apartments, when we finally found it the room was a disgrace,
The room absolutely stunk, the towels were all fraid the shower/wet room the flooring wasn’t fit properly and the water from the shower didn’t flow to the drain and sat across the whole room as you can see in the pictures below. Disgraceful.

The proximity to the city center and St. James Park is a major highlight of this hotel. Being able to explore the vibrant city without having to travel far was incredibly convenient.
The rooms are small but enough for a single person with a limited budget.

A best place to crash for a night in a decent amount.
Parking should have been free but it was paid.

Car Park offered for guests is secure, Check out.
Came in the middle of a heatwave to find the wall heater cranked up ,but window open. When room was cleaned ,cleaner should of turned off heating as it is not required in 32-35 degrees heat, it took ages for the room to get cooler. Tired décor with damaged fittings, broken slates on blinds ,hole in wall above toilet, broken plug chain, toilet roll holder half hanging off wall. (have photo's ) Signs that say there IS a lift on the ground floor but ,it doesn't exist and has been removed. Location is almost 1 hour on foot to town as we had parked car which was securely locked. so if you need food (dinner in our case) it is a mad rush to get there before 9pm closing on a Monday. Key deposit is required in Cash ,will not take a swipe on card , or card deposit ,which meant driving around to find an ATM (not in plain site at this end of town) and if your an overseas traveler fees for withdrawing a measly small amount.

Sort of clean and decent price.
Uncomfortable bed, dark corridors, lock on the door didn’t work properly, far from city centre. The kettle was unclean and the mug was stuck to the tea plate indicating it had not been washed for sometime.
5.0
Uncomfortable bed, springs poke your back. Shower head mouldy.

Cheapish
Dirty dirty, showers carpets.. anyone could walk in off the street

The room itself was clean and comfortable, despite the issues it's not too bad.
There is a lot of disrepair in the building making it look tatty, for example damaged doors, loose carpets on the stairs and our toilet in the room had previously been broken and glued back together.
Also there doesn't seem to be much in the way of security going on as we were approached by a begger on the stairs asking for money for food on 3 occasions plus 2 of our rooms had people knock on the doors during the night, 1 who tried to enter the room when our friend opened the door.
The location is around 5-10 minutes taxi ride (approx £8-£12) or a half hour walk to the city centre but there is no where around the hotel for a good breakfast so if that's something you'd want get closer to the centre.
And FYI -- £10 key deposit and £5 per night car parking

The toilet was a bit wobbly on the floor and the side entrance isn't very glamorous.

Convenient location, friendly staff.
Bathroom wasn't as clean as it should be, old toothpaste in sink, cobwebs on the walls. Promise of breakfast on the booking but this didn't happen due to refurbishment, yet no discount offered. Room freezing due to car park users/smokers leaving the external door open. Radiator not working in room.

Easy 15minute walk to town and cheap taxi back late at night. Out the way of the the main town so quiet.
Rooms are very snug and bathroom could’ve been a little bigger

not a thing
hands down the worst place I have ever stayed, if you want to sleep then stay clear. If he shear noise of people smashing around at 3/4am onwards isn’t enough to keep you awake, then the idea of the absolute filthy rooms will keep your skin crawling. The bathroom was covered in multiple kinds of hair that probably weren’t even from the same person, it was on the floor, in the sink, in the shower and the level of grime all over the bathroom was revolting. Even the shower mat looked like it’s been there since the opening of the hotel and ran through a shredder a couple of times. I would completely avoid this place, one night there was more than enough and I think I’d of gotten a more peaceful sleep with a sleeping bag on the street, I should’ve been paid to stay there rather me paying the charge. Utter disgrace, health and safety should be involved, was a biohazard

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Ensured I was looked after as soon as I walked in.
The overall feel is dated but that not deter me nor give me a bad experience.
5.0
it was comfortable and had facilities to play pool.
I didn't like that it had an old TV where you could only watch local channels, in that aspect I think you should already have a Smart TV and another thing that I didn't like was that they came to take me out of the room an hour before checkout
