About this house rental
Welcome to "Dad's Hangout". House was purchased for me to live in. When my daughter didn’t want me to move out it became dad’s hangout. When purchased the house was bank owned. The house was unlivable when purchased. The work on the house was centered on trying to reuse as much as possible. The house has a way to go for completion but is ready to rent.
Located in a 1950's area of town. Home is centrally located in a Quiet Neighborhood. Close to shopping and restaurants. Go South for Old Town with local merchants and family owned dinning establishments. Or go East for a modern experience. Mostly chain restaurants and shopping. Also the mall is located there. Thrill-seekers can try a range of adventure sports while our museums, shops, and galleries are perfect for those looking for something a little gentler.
With its new plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical service the house is safe and comfortable. Located in a quiet neighborhood and close to shopping.
2 bedrooms with Queen beds and black out curtains. One bedroom has TV, extra blankets, space heater, iron, luggage stand, and ironing board. The other room has an adjustable bed with a chill pad on it. The living/dining room has WIFI, 65" TV, stereo system and small futon. Futon can be used for a extra bed. Large Kitchen with breakfast bar has all the amenities needed for meals. Drip coffee maker with complementary coffee. All new bathroom with tub/shower and hair drier. Linen closet has plenty of towels and first aid kit. Laundry room includes. Washer, drier, and soap.
Outdoor living is now available. New concrete patio with cover in back. Table with 4 chairs on patio. Patio also has a propane barbecue and fire pit. The front has seating for 2 with small table. Smoking allowed in outside areas. Please clean up ashtrays. Added safety feature. Interior locks have been installed on all exterior doors. Update 11/8/2024: Due to changing laws VRBO has requested me to cancel additional fees. Cleaning fee has been removed. The cleaning fee was in place to discourage one night stays. I have changed to a minimum of two night stays. Pet fee has been removed. No more pets allowed at this time. If you have already booked a stay with pets that is okay.

This place is like having a home away from home. Recently remodeled so everything is clean and new...quiet neighborhood, nice extras like a great back patio with a grill and firepit and ceiling fan. Kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need to cook your own meals if you are so inclined. Nice sound system in living room for those Netflix nights...only a few minutes from either downtown or the East Main shopping areas...it's my "go to" place to stay now!!

Dale was amazing with communication, the property was incredibly clean, the accommodations and his booklet he left for reference of where things were and places to see and eat were perfect!
My son enjoyed his stay so much that he asked if we could stay longer!
I highly recommend staying at Dale’s property it was exactly what I needed!

The property is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It is located in a very quiet residential area so a car is needed.
The host is very well organised and communication is excellent.
The two bedrooms are very comfortable and the bedding and plentiful towels are of very high quality.
I recommend this property.

This was my family's first time staying at a rental house instead of a hotel and we all agreed that it was an exceptional experience. Every one we stay at from here after will be held to that standard and I believe it's going to be difficult to surpass. The house was exactly as advertised and the host was very communicative and had thought of every single touch in the home. Cleanliness was second to none and all details were precise. Would absolutely stay here again if we come to this area. And highly recommend.

We definitely enjoyed this property and all the amenities it had to offer. I’m sure there are a few we did not use, but the kitchen was fully equipped to cook or have a dinner for a family. The grill and patio space outside was very nice with wireless speakers a grill and fire pit. Everything was nicely labeled in the linen closet, and in the kitchen. The only thing that was a little difficult for me personally, was the master bedroom bed was a bit high off the ground so we stayed in the second bedroom which was also nice but no television like the master. Our overall stay and experience was 5 Star, and we definitely would stay at this property again. Dale was very accommodating and communicated quickly..

I used to live in Farmington and I come back frequently to visit, this is the perfect place to stay as it is a quiet neighborhood yet very close to anywhere I need to be... Owner is extremely responsive even though I really didn't need anything... I will definitely be staying here again! It feels like a brand new house on the inside, very nice finishes and very very clean...

This trip was 2nd time we stayed over a week. As before, very clean, roomy and has everything you need plus more! We got to enjoy outside fire pit, patio and grill along with beautiful and cool NM evenings. Friendly neighbors and even got some fresh garden veggies! We’ll be back! Thanks Dale!

This is a nice little house in a quiet neighborhood. It is the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. It’s very comfortable and there’s a great covered patio in the backyard. It has everything you need for cooking. It’s also close to a grocery store and many other businesses. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

First, Dale was easy to communicate with and available as needed. The neighborhood is not ritzy... but the location is perfect, the neighbors pleasant and we felt very comfortable and safe. The home was immaculately clean and we'll equipped. Living room cozy, beds comfortable, bathroom spotless. The kitchen was well organized with everything needed available right where one would expect it to be. Very nice stay and quite likely will book again!

It's a great hangout for people and pets. Dale has thought of everything to make your stay at his hangout comfortable and memorable. He has extra toiletries (I love the massage soap), fully furnished kitchen supplies, the tv has so many options that I couldn't handle it all, and if you bring your dog, he even has supplies for scooping poop. The neighbors are very nice. Civitan Park is in walking distance and my pups loved running through the grass there. It is a quite, comfortable, and relaxing stay. Thanks again Dale.

We stayed one night at Dale’s house and thoroughly enjoyed this modern, clean, and very comfortable home. Dale provided check-in details prior to our stay, and once checked in there were helpful tips throughout the home to take advantage of all the amenities the house has to offer.
