Danae Hotel is an excellent choice for a stay on Aegina Island!

This is a full service hotel. The reception desk is manned day and night. There is a very good breakfast buffet with a large selection of food and beverages, and there is also a bar and a restaurant that serves snacks, lunch, and dinner. There is daily maid service. The beds are extremely comfortable and chair height, like American beds. The rooms are fully renovated, very clean, and a nice size. The pool area is attractive and has a pool bar. Every room is either poolside or has a balcony with a view. A lovely beach with amazing sea and mountain views is across the road and can be accessed by descending a cliffside stone stairway. From the hotel, it is an EU 5 taxi ride or a longer walkable distance to the city and port. We would stay at this hotel again.

There is no off-street parking.

Comfortable stay.

Great view from our room. Very good location near to the port. Very good wifi and a/c.

The breakfast was not so good (juices looked as if water had been added in them, coffee was tasteless). Variety was sufficient but some of the things appeared to be of poor quality.

Beautiful location and pool, in close proximity to downtown!

Very helpful staff, nice location with a great pool. Room was spacious. Wifi worked well.

Everything about the hotel met or exceeded our expectations.

The view from the hotel was beautiful and sea access was only a short walk down a shaded path. We would walk the 10 minutes into the town but the taxi ride was only 5 Euros. The breakfast was always good and plentiful. The pool area was also very clean and welcoming. The smell of the lemon and orange blossoms was also wonderful. I will also add that I experienced a health issue just at the end of our stay - my friend went to reception to see about getting a doctor and they were able to call one and he was by my bedside 30 minutes later. He made his diagnosis (vertigo) gave me two shots, ordered a prescription and had it delivered to the hotel. (He charged 50 euros for this invaluable service.) This happened on the day we were to check out and the hotel had no problem letting us stay in the room until I was more ready to travel. They were kind and proficient and probably saved my vacation.

I can’t think of anything that would have made our stay better.

Best place in Aegina

The hotel was exceptional. We had such a great time. The hotel is really close to the port, close to the sea, just cross the street and go down a few stairs. but in a peacefully environment. For us it was the perfect combination between relaxation, sun, sea, beautiful small taverns all around the port, good food, ease of access to the monasteries. The breakfast in the hotel was pretty good with pretty much everything: meat, dairy products, pastry, juices, tea, coffee, fruits. The pool really nice with cosy sunbeds. The personnel were friendly, they helped us with everything we asked them for. We loved it.

Superb

Great location near a small and quiet beach, lined by pine trees. Nice view from the balcony. Great pool area. Reasonable room size for the price paid. Staff very friendly and forthcoming.

Hotel is from the sixties, so the design and layout seems a bit old-fashioned, but it is very well maintained. Bathroom is a bit small and worn out, but fully functional. COVID rules at breakfast were a bit too strict for my taste, as most of the food from the breakfast could only be served by hotel staff (but they were efficient and pleasant doing it).

The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms quite clean, with the exception of smoke smell. The swimming pool is good, although a bit shallow for adults.

The location isn’t convenient at all, since there is no parking space. The road is quite dangerous with passing traffic and limited visibility both for drivers and pedestrians, especially at night. Also the hotel could use an elevator, heavy luggage is difficult to be carried on the stairs, although the staff was very helpful to this respect. Our room was a bit smelly from smoke, especially during the days of the heatwave the curtains and the walls gave off an annoying cigarette smell. Very frustrating especially if you’re traveling with children .. Non-smoking rooms with strict regulations should be made available at the hotel. Also quite expensive (Considering the price of €90 didn’t even include breakfast) , not value for money at all..

Superb

Perfect hotel for relaxing family holidays. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Nice pool, but the water could be a bit cleaner. Easy access to the sea (rock and sand beaches both). 10 min by foot to Kazantzaki house. 5 min by car to the port. Beautiful sea view. Enjoyed our stay!

Will be staying again if they get new mattresses!

Although a little dated, it was a lovely hotel with fantastic staff and kept very clean. Rooms are smallish but well kept and the bathroom was perfect. The mattresses were very uncomfortable which is the only negative I have to say, and this did affect my sleep. Food we ate for lunch was fabulous and always lots to choose from the breakfast buffet. The barista at the pool bar was amazing, friendly and attentive. Pool was our saviour as we spent most hours of the day in or around it. Loungers we’re comfy too.

I booked an extra night, I think that says it all

The hotel is located on a beautiful hill, overlooking the beach. Its not far from town, their pool is great and the staff is very friendly!
