Amazing hotel - probably the best in Nafplio, the view is great, the rooms are big and comfortable.
The breakfast is very basic.
4.0
Very nice comfortable rooms. 2 pools and a great view. The pool in the Villa area feels newer and has a better view.
Slightly aged.. you feel that the property is quite old. Still very comfortable though

I love the gorgeous views, the rooms are spacious. The hotel has numerous pools and the breakfast was one of my favorite times of the day.
The property is a bit outdated. Needs a refresh.

Staff were very polite and helpful. It has a great view of Nafplio.
Really bad renovation, the bungalow villas-room smelled sewage, even though the room was changed, new room did not have wi-fi and it was small. Water from the douch was flooded the bathroom. the hotel do not deserve the 5* title. On main breakfast area, the wc are is worse yhan a camping's one!
5.0
The hotel, the room, the view, and the staff.
There was nothing we did not like.
4.0
The position and size of the room was excellent and the pool was lovely.
The bathroom needed updating, the entrance door to the bathroom was missing, there was a glass screen that needed replacing and there was a light missing in the shower.

The location is fantastic, the best you can have in Nafplio. Staff were extremely helpful and eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Our villa was spacious with amazing view.
I have visited Nafplia Palace several times and it's always disappointing to see that there are still some issues that have not been fixed. For example, the TV in our villa, a very expensive Bang & Olufsen bought 20 years ago, was barely working with digital TV stations so we had to ask for another TV. The "famous" puzzle with electric switches everybody is talking about. Our villa had over 60 electric switches which are supposed to provide advanced functionality but nobody knows what exactly they do (or not). Some of them are working and others are not and none have some kind of label that indicates what kind of lights you control. Breakfast is good but it could be better. The main building, which was not open this year, has not been renovated. The elevators that take you down to the city are dirty and two of the three ones were out of order. That’s’ why I consider Nafplia Palace to be a very good hotel instead of being a great one, especially for that price range. Still, I believe it’s better than anything else in Nafplio

amazing views, definitely best hotel in town. the views itself were a treat, we had an amazing view from breakfast. the staff was amazing and very accommodating. beds were so comfortable! I was shocked at how lovely the room was. we didn’t want to leave.
The bathroom had signs of black mould and some underneath the seat in the shower that the hotel seems to be battling with because of heat and bad ventilation.

Nice view. Staff were helpful and lovely . Decent pool.
Place is falling apart. Looks like Soviet era brutalist empty place. Entrance to lift to hotel in old town is dark, scary, and full of graffitti. A bit frightening to use .

No WIFI signal inside the room, TV device more than 15 years old, TV control not working, Jacuzzi not working, hair inside omelet. Want more?

the view
Worn out place with the least welcoming reception we have met across multiple hotels in Greece.

I liked Absolutely nothing. Worst 5 star hotel experience ever. Concrete bunker which may have had a nice view but no light or sun. No WiFi because of the concrete walls.. Broken furniture. Fridge not working. Bath not working. Private pool with our room had no steps so absolutely no way of getting out of it.
All this joy for 600 euros! Outrageously expensive. A ghastly experience.
Please see above. There was not one thing that worked properly and it gives Greek tourism a very bad name.

The view is amazing
No WiFi !!! Lots of mosquitoes

Originally a government hotel and built in 1975, its something of a 70s design classic. The breakfast room over looking the pool must have been incredibly modern in its day. The location overlooking Nafplio is second to none.
The hotel is a complete disgrace and must be closed down for a full multi million Euro renovation. Its a complete rip off (we paid >Eur 600 per night for a family suite ie with bedroom and living room). "Tired" doesn't come close to describing it. Its a fixed in time (1975) when it was built by the Greek government before being sold to private owners as part of Greece entering the Eurozone. The public parts of the hotel do not seem to have received a single refurb/refresh since then. We were in a "refurbed" room but the decor was classic 1990s (so even that was >20 years old). I would hate to see the un refurbished rooms!
The pool is filthy with tiles coming away, grass not cut, very few loungers, only two staff working. Half the hotel is closed (for some covid related reason / excuse). I have seen better public toilets in Delhi, than the single usable public toilet in the whole hotel.
The room itself - lots of stuff didnt work including all outdoor lights or the fridge but was ok.
Its hard to get angry with the staff who are (for the most part) doing their best, but you can almost feel their embarrassment at the state of the hotel. Lots of things done work! All you can hear round the hotel is people complaining to the staff. The owners of this hotel are literally (privately) laughing at the guests in charging what they are for this hotel. We didn't complain once, because it was so bad you had to just laugh yourself, where do you start. Its ultimately not the staffs fault, its the frankly criminal owners
The overriding feeling was of the owners 'sweating the asset' before the inevitable complete renovation. When and if that happens it could be quite a beautiful and high end place, the location is incredible (and Nafplio is lovely), the potential is there. But before that happens, at least charge people a 3 star price, because that is what this place is (it is NEVER a 5 star)

Ease of check in and lovely pool and view and the room itself which was tastefully designed .
Too many electronic control buttons to navigate . Needed a manual , ha !

The view, the place
