Amazing hosts. Beautiful house. Loved the history, avocado toast, sitting in the backyard, conversations and all the small details which made our stay wonderful.

Breakfast was yummy and they even were able to easily configure it so that it fit my dietary needs.
The parking was a bit inconvenient to get to if you were going the wrong way on the road, however it was totally worth it.

We had the most fantastic stay at Cherri and Mike’s lovely house. It’s a memory we will cherish forever. The house is beautifully renovated to its original style and Cherri told us the history. We were in the Train Room which is train themed with artefacts from the old railroad days.
It was a shared bathroom which was fine as we also had a basin in our room.
We had an excellent restaurant recommendation for dinner and then sat in the house’s lovely garden which was nicely lit and we really appreciated the glass of wine offered by our hosts.
Mike cooked the best breakfast we’ve had on our trip. Avocado, tomatoes, onions, etc on toast. Delicious.
That we couldn’t stay for longer!

This is a beautiful historic house lovingly restored, complete with the history of the original family and town.
Our hostess was lovely and had many many stories to tell.

Hospitality, modern bathroom, delicious breakfast.
Located on a fairly busy road.

The host were wonderful and had everything just in perfect condition. Our room was large and ambiance reverted us to the 1800's hundreds. WE will definitely let everyone we know that are passing to Roseburg our great expereince.
They require you to go barefoot and I wish I would have know, since I have issues with my feet and its difficult to go barefoot. I would have known and brought my tiny slippers.

Very good breakfast. Owners excellent.
Traffic noise. Tiny steps were awkward.

Very friendly hosts, beautiful yard, delicious breakfast, comfy beds:)
Shared bathroom. Although it was fine for our stay, as there was only one other person staying. But only 1 upstairs bathroom for all the guests if the house was full would not have been good. The stairs are quite steep, so pack light.

This place is a gem and the best stay of our vacation. The owners are so friendly and personable and go out of their way to make us comfortable. The history of the home is interesting but most importantly it’s a nice break from the sterile atmosphere of hotels, it felt like we were staying with friends. Everything was very clean. The rooms are nice and spacious, the bed very comfortable, the shower luxurious, the breakfast really good, and they delivered GOOD coffee to our room in the morning. The owners also recommended a really good restaurant that I don’t think we would have found on our own,and in the morning we shared travel tips and ideas with other guests. A few things to consider: the stairs to the second floor are very steep (the owners will help with luggage) and the bathroom is shared with the other guests. Highly recommended and we will return.

John Rast’s house - a place with history - excellent dive into American history, wonderfully preserved / restored house from 1875 with original interior; Cherri and Mike were wonderful hosts telling the story about the house and its original owners, but they were also sincerely interested in their guests and their background. Great breakfast made by Cherri and Mike, and despite the age of the house, the facilities like bathroom, plumbing and electricity were far above what you get in other hotels. Mike did a high-class job on the renovations which you rarely even find at a luxury resort! We regret that we only stayed for a night but will definitely come back when we get to Oregon again. By the way - Oregon is my new must go destination! Totally underestimated, with so much to see, it doesn’t fit into a single week of vacation.
the water tap turned into the wrong direction, but maybe that was the right direction in 1875, so let’s call it the other direction ;-)
Honestly, absolutely nothing I can think of that I didn’t like. The place is a true gem!

The breakfast was delicious! Mark & Cherri were outstanding hosts, made us feel very welcome in their amazingly beautiful home and we were totally comfortable! We loved everything about our stay and we highly recommend every one to stay here as we hope someday, when we're in the area, we will definitely return!
Because this is a historic landmark, the design of the house interior cannot be altered. We managed to make our way up and down the stairs and that would be the only thing we could mention.

What a wonderful place to stay! I got lucky. It's like staying in a museum. Sherri was incredible and gave a history of the place and the town. In the morning she served one of the best breakfasts in a long time. Will definitely be staying there again. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time staying here! The couple that manages this place is so welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed learning the history of the home and the family that originally built the place. They also gave us great recommendations of places to visit and made us a delicious breakfast!
Everything was perfect! There is honestly nothing wrong I can think of.

Excellent host. She helped me early at 6 am with carrying my items to my car. She went above and beyond my expectation as a host to be available at all time without showing any sign of inconveniences that I caused.
For seniors, it will be not as easy to use the substandard stairs to go up and down. The location can be noisy but not when you are inside the house.

The hosts&owners are kind people. Sherri is very hospitable and gave us so many travel tips. She knows everything about Oregon!
The house itself is awesome and I was truly fascinated by its history.
We stayed in Claire's room and has so many nice details. I loved our sink especially!

The attention to details. all the special touches. Just like home but better
stairs were a little steep but that’s what adds to the authenticity. The host would provide a temp bed downstairs if needed.

Lovely host, warm welcome, felt like home. Great house, lobed the homemade cookies in the evening and the delicious breakfast next morning.
All great, just the bathroom is to be shared with the other guests.

. The history from Sherry& Mike was so interesting. Beautiful well kept Historical Home. The Garden and back area for Outdoor seating was excellent. Blessings on a healthy breakfast with great coffee and hot chocolate. Beautiful themed rooms with rich history.
Noisy Friday night and front of Home is on a main road. Only one room on the front side but would stay anyway..

It was simply awesome. You are feeling like you are back in the 19th century - but with up to date restrooms and air condition.
The hosts are the most beautiful persons we met on our travel along the west coast. They were friendly, heartwarming and did everything to make our stay unforgettable. Thank you very very much Cherri and Mike, we hope to meet you again

The hosts welcomed us warmly. Our room was beautifully decorated in 1875 style furniture and immaculate. The house has a large, lovingly tended backyard, where we enjoyed a glass of wine and sunset. Breakfast was delicious! The location is off of a busy and noisy street, but our room had a machine where all we heard were crickets, not cars. We left the next morning with the feeling that the hosts had been friends for years.

The owners were very hospitable and gracious. The bathroom shower was the best!
Really steep stairs.
