Rustic, simple, peaceful, the kindest people and the most delicious meals, that's what I feel when I'm here, let's go!

The inn is managed and built by a long-standing Thai family. I stayed here for 4 nights and I love waking up here every morning with the view behind the glass. The room is truly breathtaking. The hearty breakfast. the best and most delicious I ate banana cake with honey, fried eggs served with bread and beef fried noodles with delicious tea and coffee I ate dinner it was always delicious and very generous (I mean it's a lot) and had lunch at some restaurants nearby but at Duy Phuong it's always tastier cheaper and more plentiful and finally the family is really friendly and kind they are always ready when you need them, there are many details I can't write it all down in this article but I will definitely come back here first when I get the chance.

Duy Phuong is quite basic, but really clean and cosy. The double rooms and the courtyard have a terrific view on the rice fields and the hills.
It's an isolated location, both a pro and a con. Pro: there are only few other homestays in the area. Con: It is 40 minutes away from Pu Luong (and the bus stop) by motorbike.
Food is great: we had the market meal for two dinners in a row and it was always delicious.
They can organize trekking and motorbikes tours.
The family that runs the place cannot speak English. Most of the times you need to comunicate with a third person via booking, who eventually speaks with the family. For the everyday matters we comunicated with them using google translate.

Amazing view and very kind stuff❤️
It’s a jungle! Eco bungalows…so…a lot of insects, cockroaches, spiders, mosquitoes 😂but its ok, this is The Nature
4.6
The lovliest view, the nicest hosts and tastiest food! Comfy bed with a good mosquito net. Strong fan so no sweaty nights. Good shower and toilet. Very happy overall.
The owner helped us find our way around and organised a scooter rent as well as a ride back to Ninh Binh for us. Very reasonable prices, too.

The view is beautiful and the host is very nice.

The view is amazing
We have been awaken at 6h30 am by construction works next to our room. It was really unpleasant and they could have waited few hours, we do not recommend to go now to the place as it is not finished.
The food was expensive and not very tasty

Awesome place. Spectacular views & local village but more authentic this side of the valley. Great food.
Loved it all

It is run and built by the family, the bungalows are just beautiful and make you feel free, not to mention the fantastic view of the rice fields.
They welcomed me very well and helped me with transportation, there are not many alternatives besides a few local cabs.
The food was fantastic and plentiful.
As for communication I used to write directly to the guy in whatsapp in English and it worked very well.
If you are a nature lover, you can't miss this stage.
I had a hard time figuring out how to get there, better to contact the facility in advance and ask for directions.
Pu Luong as far as tourism is concerned is not yet developed e.g. with already organized tours, you have to plan well for travel within and figure out what you want to see maybe ask the family for advice in advance.
Even to move later in Ninh Binh I could not find any bus but had to take a cab.

The view is amazing and the hosts are incredibly nice! They organised our transportation to Hanoi and all went well.
The mattresses are very hard. For a stay of 2-3 nights its ok and the great view definitely compensates it!

an utterly beautiful place
the bed was too hard

About everything.

The setting is absolutely amazing like the pictures Show! The little Bungalows are cozy and even the hosts don't speak english, we Got everything we need. The food was absolutely delicious. We felt far away from anything. If you are looking for a special or even romantic place to spend the night you should visit this place!
We did no't really get into contact with the hosts which wasn't a problem for us at all. The only thing which might be a negative for sb.
4.6
Rural and peaceful, with very few (if any) tourists. Food at home stay was impressive.
Can be a little difficult to get to nearby places, but it’s part of the appeal.
4.6
the room is open in the ceiling - so it was freezingcold. also not comfortable matters and a lot of bugs
4.6
Nice host family, great location and views, very cool accommodation concept.
You cannot mind bugs to stay here. You will have a bug net over your bed so you can sleep (until the 6am Rooster wake-up call) but you will deal with lots of bugs in the room and common area. I was fine with it and think it's worth staying here regardless, but I know a lot of people back home that wouldn't be able to deal with it.
Second, the towels are proper towels, the bed is soft by Vietnam standards.
If you have your own transportation and have the time, the loop up to Mai Chau and back down is some of the most scenic and twisty roads I have ridden (the Ha Giang Loop not withstanding). Note that when you are looping back down south to the Homestay (East of mai chau) the mountain roads can get pretty rough and extremely steep. I wouldn't personally do it on a scooter but the locals do, so use your discretion and leave enough time to back track.
Hot water is a bit hit or miss. Soap and shampoo dispensers in my room were almost empty and ran out during my stay. Wifi is fast when it works, but it's often broken. Don't give them your passport, let them take a picture. I gave them a copy of my passport and their dog ripped it apart. Its a copy and I have spares, but yeah you've been warned.

Amazing place , amazing the love that the owners give to the place you can see with the little details and amazing the dinner they gave me , wonderful experience in the middle of the nature and impressive views !, bravo!! for that young business couple !!
Nothing

The view is worth every penny. This is that hidden gem you were looking for that no one else found yet. Sadly, it won’t be long until more people find it and then it will become like Sa Pa. If you get a chance, go there!!!
It’s not a bad thing, just prepare to deal with all sorts of bugs - this is a bungalow in the middle of the jungle!! hard beds (usually for southeast Asia) and food is local (although the hosts make a very good effort to adapt to the western palate).
4.6
while the property is just a touch off the beaten path, that is what makes it shine! it’s a little oasis that you can enjoy incredible views, great food and a truly authentic experience.
the rooms were clean and comfortable. the staff while not speaking English were some of the most helpful during my stay. My transportation to ninh binh got cancelled last minute and they were able to provide me with an alternative that was a great price! Everything was easily handled through google translate. I can’t recommend this homestay enough! Such a beautiful location.
4.6
We loved everything! The view first of all, a close second is the quiet, only broken by the noise of the nearby waterfall. I cannot recommend this homestay enough.
English of the family is not great, but google translate and a big smile is sufficient to get to through!
Absolutely nothing 😊
4.6
The homestay is in a beautiful location offering great views from both the bungalows and the outdoor common areas. The family offers delicious homemade meals.
There were lots of insects in the bungalows. This is the only downside of being so immersed in nature- and the family will help you and the beds have netting. Also, despite the option being available on booking.com, the hosts do not accept card payments.
4.6
The Room was clean and the bathroom facilities were clean as well which made the stay pleasant.
4.6
View is incredible!!! Absolutely stunning.
Bed is quite hard.
4.6
Probably the most stunning view from your bed you'll ever see. Set above a cascading valley with the nearby waterfall flowing through and gentle clouds floating past, the dramatic landscape is breathtaking! The cosy little stilthouse bungalows are basic but beautiful, equipped with a small seating area, large bed, mosquito net, and a fan, it covers all the bases. The WiFi is some of the fastest we've had in Vietnam, which was brilliant for remote work. The host family were very kind and prepared a delicious dinner, even cooking grilled pork for us on request and lending us an umbrella when a monsoon rolled in unexpectedly as we arrived. The bathrooms are also simple but are stocked with products should you need them, have full toilets, and the shower has great water pressure. Wish we had more time to stay here!
Nothing! It was paradise. I'd recommend to bring your bug spray, you are in rural jungle landscape so bugs are to be expected.

The location was amazimg surrounded by waterfalls great view from.the bungalow
The owner charged us the motorbike pick from.main road without telling us prior that it was not included! It left a bad taste afyer having spent a great time at the location! Also the mattress is horribly hard so we didnt sleep well.but again if you have your own means of transport , and you dont mind sleeping on extra hard mattress, it is worth it

If I wrote everything I liked in detail it would probably take a few thousand characters. I'll try to summarize:
1. The location and therefore the view from the homestay - absolutely great.
2. The view from the bungalow window - astonishing, I wish I could wake up to that every morning.
3. The family - super nice and friendly.
4. The food - great, awesome, fantastic, whichever word you prefer.
5. The ambiance - breathtaking -> the mist, the valley right in front of you and then the mountain a few hundred meters behind that valley... plus the waterfall nearby which you can clearly listen to while falling asleep... Ah!
There is strong WiFi, hot water in the bathroom, enough space to park, beer, good coffee and pretty much all you need, and if you have a special request for food and drink, they will provide. They made a campfire which was really practical and nice - it was winter.
I had a great time and regretted that I had to leave the next day. I am definitely coming back to this particular one and bringing some friends with me!
4.6
Fantastic location, it was actually quiet up there aside from some farming sounds from the locals in the valley. Also had sounds of running water from a river below. Great views to just sit and admire. Chilly this time of year, but lots of hot water/tea and good blankets kept me comfortable.
Family is really nice and very welcoming. They did not seem to have a lot of English, but my Vietnamese is decent so it wasn't really an issue; Google Translate would be fine though. Breakfast was basic for my stay; noodles with some eggs. Dinner was amazing though, some of the best pork I've ever had!
Bathrooms/bedrooms/wifi are basic but fine. There's not a lot to do in the area besides go for a walk but this was not a problem for me because I just wanted to hang out somewhere quiet with nice views.
Don't really have any complaints about the place about the place; this is a farm/homestay where a family lives and goes about their day, and it was perfect for me.
4.6
The location was great! Walking distance to beautiful waterfalls and right at the top of the hill so had fantastic views of the valley. We stayed in the cosy & rustic bungalow - felt at one with the nature around us. They also provided breakfast, lunch and dinner - all of which was absolutely delicious. A wide variety of Vietnamese & ethnic minority dishes. The family were very friendly and hospitable. 100% recommend!
