We had an incredible stay in Babb. The location was perfect and very close to the Glacier. The house was clean and well set up. The breakfast treat was unexpected and very appreciated. Kristin was very helpful and responsive when we had questions. We would love to return!!

This is a wonderful home to vacation. It is very clean and spacious. The owners have put much thought into the accommodations and there are many added touches and conveniences such as soap, shampoo, lotions, coffee. The view of the mountains is amazing and location is convenient to St. Mary's and Many Glacier. The owners are responsive and very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hands down the best rental I have ever been to. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need and then some - even a fresh cut flower bouquet. They responded so quickly to the few questions I had. Excellent location if you want to stay on the east side of Glacier National Park. Very close to the Many Glacier entrance and just a bit further to the St. Mary's entrance. Several enjoyable restaurants nearby, but we enjoyed the accommodations so much we had most our breakfasts and dinners at the cabin. My adult boys especially loved the provided kayak and paddle boards to use at nearby Duck Lake, which was a quick walk across the road.
Great hosts, spotless accommodations with everything you need, and beautiful views of the mountains - what more could you ask for!!

Wow, a breathtaking view and beautiful property! As a frequent Montana visitor, this is hands down the nicest property I’ve ever rented out here. The attention to details made my 2 weeks incredibly comfortable. The stunning views and easy access to Glacier Park made this vacation one of my memorable summers out n Montana! Thank you Zach and Kristin for sharing your beautiful home! I’ll be back again next summer!

Amazing on all accounts!
We just spent the week at Shooting Star Lodge while visiting East Glacier. Every two years, our dad takes my brothers and I hiking to a different park and this ranks at the top of our experiences! We logged over 60 miles on the trails and were thrilled with the location and amenities that the house provided. The owner was in contact with helpful information and it was obvious that they pay close attention to detail, leaving the "extras" that others don't. We would highly recommend this cabin!

Amazing !
The cabin was perfect. The location is between St. Mary & Many glacier making it an easy drive for going in at either entrance. Kristin & Zach thought of everything! It was well organized, homey and even included a thoughtful breakfast & coffee grounds from local vendors. I have traveled a lot and this is by far the best accommodations I have had! The views from the Cabin were better than the pictures. Kristin was extremely welcoming and quick to respond with any questions. 5 stars isn't enough for this place!

We loved the house! View is better than the pictures and the house is comfy and homey. We didn’t get to see Road To The Sun because most of it was closed. No horse back riding in this area until 2nd/3rd week in June which was a bummer. But we did several hikes in St Mary snd Two Medicine. Even got to see a bear and her cub on our hike!
Hosts are amazing …friendly and helpful. Our family loved it!!

Our family of 6 adults and 2 children (10 & 12) really enjoyed our stay! Home is spacious and very clean!! Appreciated the thoughtful touches like shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each shower, extra toiletries, fun local cinnamon roll breakfast, games, fans for each room, light blocking curtains, and well stock utensils/pans/etc in the kitchen. The view from the back deck is amazing all times of the day. And the community is very quite. Is perfect location for quick access to both Many Glacier and St. Mary's. We didn't have time to use them, but was nice to have paddle board and kayak in the basement. Having the outdoor shower was great so one other person could clean up at the same time. And Lindsay is very responsive!
Wifi, as Lindsay will tell you, can be slow at best. We didn't bother with it most of the time. Was nice to take a break from being constantly plugged in!!
Would definitely stay again, for two weeks next time!!
Thank you Lindsay and Zack for sharing your home with our family!!

Kristin could not have been more helpful with answering my many questions and helping us when we had some problems (unrelated to the house). The house is lovely and the views are great (when there is no smoke from the fires. The kitchen is very well stocked and the beds are all comfortable. The location is terrific for access to the Many Glacier, Two Medicine and Cut Bank areas of GNP. It is, however, a bit isolated. Thank you Kristin!

This place is probably my favorite VRBO ever. It’s only 15 minutes from Glacier NP (which is incidentally the most beautiful place I’ve ever been) and the view from the house has to be seen to be believed. There’s also a lake across the street and paddleboards and fishing supplies. Even though it was unseasonably hot the bottom floor was REALLY cool and has two queen beds and and a tv with dvds and vhs(!!), a nice bathroom with shower and sauna(!!!). Anyway it was just really comfortable, the owner and neighbors were really responsive and friendly and we just had the best vacation there. Highly recommend, and we will be back!!!

Five star experience
The property is located on a hill approximately a half mile down a somewhat bumpy gravel road with a commanding mountain view.
We found it to be very clean and well appointed with quality furnishings and unexpected extras, like the paddle boards for use on near by duck lake.
It is within a 15 minute drive to the St Marys and many glacier entrances to the park. The area is somewhat isolated, so there are limited dining options, the St Marys lodge became our go to option.
We had a great time in Glacier, and the Shooting Star Lodge was a big part of our experience

Kristin was such an awesome host and her property was so well taken care of! We were a group of eight friends who travel to national parks together to hike. We were a long drive from all the hikes we did, but the house to come home to was worth it! Definitely the best host I've had in my travels!! If considering this property, book now!

Our family loved this home. We loved the open floor plan of the kitchen, dining and family room area. We loved the deck and its views and we appreciated that this home had a spot for everything - hooks everywhere to hang your coat, your hat or your Camelback. There is easy access to both the St. Mary's Entrance to Glacier National Park and the Many Glacier Entrance and we spent a great deal of time at each. Our thanks to Lew and Cheryl for a trip we'll never forget.

Our family of 8 had an amazing stay in Lew and Cheryl's cabin. The view was absolutely stunning. Lew and Cheryl were very easy to work with and answered our questions quickly. We saw lots of wildlife around the cabin and even saw a bear! The cabin was very clean upon check-in and provided all the essentials. The only negative thing about our stay was the mosquitos, it made it difficult to sit outside at times. The owners did provide bug spray, so that helped. I was a little worried about not having cable tv, but that was not a problem. We had lots of fun just sitting around talking and looking for wildlife out the windows. There were also lots of books. The cell phone signal was low, so it gave us a rare opportunity to just unplug for a week. The area around the cabin as we were driving in was a little run down, but once we got to the cabin, it was beautiful! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would definitely return.

Perfect home for a Glacier vacation
We stayed in this home for a week in late June/early July 2019 and everything about it was perfect for our first family trip to Glacier National Park. This log cabin home is beautiful and the views from the property are impossible to describe. There were seven adults on this trip and there was plenty of room for us all.
One of the best features of the home is the location. It is on the eastern side of the park with quick and easy access to both the St. Mary park entrance and the road to Many Glacier. We hiked every day and it was so convenient to be close to most of the premier day hikes in the park (Iceberg Lake, Grinnell Glacier, etc.).
The owners were great to work with and quickly answered our emails when we had questions. One of the owners, Lew, was staying next door for most of our trip. He came over to introduce himself and tell us that he was available if we had any questions or issues. One of the highlights of our trip happened on the morning of our departure. Lew came over to tell us that there was a bear in the backyard! What a great way to end an incredible week.
This family vacation was the trip of a lifetime and we appreciate that Cheryl and Lew shared their wonderful home with us for the week. It is a great property that is very near the east entrances to Glacier and we highly recommend it to others.

Wonderful!
We (2 couples) had a wonderful 5 night stay at Lew and Cheryl's house. Wonderful views, welcoming space, well equipped kitchen. We were taken by surprise by about 18 inches of snow on October 1. A few good snow shovels would have come in handy! Cheryl was in good touch by text (for future visitors: AT&T has no cell signal at the house) and very available for questions. We hope to return someday, we loved the location and being on the east side of Glacier National Park.

Great house for views of Glacier NP and hiking it
Stayed for 7 days in mid September with wife, her sister and husband. Perfect house for 2 or even 3 couples. Well stocked kitchen and nice bathrooms. No cable, but many dvds and vhs tapes to choose from, but who needs TV after hiking GNP. Great pamarama of east side of park from house, amazing. Perfect location for hiking east side of park. Best hikes are 20-25 mins from house. We did Grinnell Glacier, Iceberg Lake, Bullhead Lake. Logan Pass is less than a hour away for Highline hike and Hidden lake. Highly recommend! Just keep the gate shut to keep the cows and horses out.

Local cabin enhances our trip
While using the Duck Lake Cabin we realized the blessing of its location. Just minutes away from both the Many Glacier and St Mary National Park entrances. Our stay in the cabin was perfect for our family of six adults and 2 children. The downstairs "suite" worked well for our daughter and her young children while the upstairs bedrooms provided privacy and personal space for my husband and me and our daughter and her husband.
We enjoyed evenings on the deck overlooking the sunsets and were thankful that the fires on the West side of the park didn't diminish our ability to take advantage of the many opportunities on the East side. While the views were somewhat diminished by the smoke and haze from the fires, it opened our eyes to the fragility of the landscape in Montana and how the current disappearance of the glaciers will impact the park and surrounding areas in future years.
The kitchen was well stocked (and we made sure that we replenished the supplies we depleted) which made cooking meals enjoyable. The pots and pans were high quality and the variety of small kitchen appliances (toasters/crock pots) made it possible to eat a portion of our meals right on sight. The cabin's location close to Babb and St Mary also allowed us to take advantage of local eateries (everything from ice cream to sit down meals at Two Sisters!).
We very much enjoyed our stay and would book again if re-visiting the area. Thank you Cheryl and Lew for opening your home to us and allowing us to experience Glacier National Park with our family.

Beautiful house, excellent views. Exceeded expectations.
With the kids turning into young adults, this Montana trip may have been one of our last family adventures. Duck Lake Cabin was the perfect setting. It accommodated all of us comfortably. Spacious, clean & warmly decorated. The stunning views from the wrap-around deck made the morning coffee and evening nightcap an outstanding bookend to each day. I would definitely re-book this place when I return to Glacier. Thank you Cheryl & Lew.
2.5
A wonderful place to stay!
A beautiful home with stunning views all around. Very well equipped and comfortable. Conveniently close to the park but still out of the way and quiet. Provided everything we needed (and then some) to make our stay extremely enjoyable. Thank you Cheryl and Lew!
