Or turn left to head towards the Weeki Wachee Springs State Park where you can see live mermaids perform. For anyone who prefers a guide; eco-tours are offered through the Weeki Wachee State Park and Boating in Florida. They will take tours up river toward the headsprings while providing information about the surrounding flora and fauna, kayaking tips, and tips on river etiquette.

We had a wonderful time swimming and relaxing

This was a great little house with all the things you need to vacation on the springs. We enjoyed our time, the area was quiet and close to major stores if you forgot anything. I would definitely rent from Chris again in the future.

Just all around wonderful.
See rating.
Will stay here again.

So peaceful and comfy. We'll be back soon!

The canal we stayed in is super clear with manatees literally EATING UNDER THE DOCK. It’s super quiet as well which we really like. Really close the the main river as well. 10/10 this home!

I brought along my brother and his wife for Thanksgiving and they did not want to leave!! The house is amazing and smells marvelous!! Aside from it being unexpectedly colder than last year, we had a great time. We didn't get a chance to kayak because it was rainy but we did get a glimpse at a couple of manatees.
I was just happy to get another opportunity to stay at this lovely little home.

Such a nice little place for a fun quick weekend getaway! Clean and nice place inside and out.

Loved being right on the river and able to launch from there, and I had my dog with me which is even better. Very communicative and helpful, and I'd love to stay again! :)

So much fun!!

Great place with everything you need for your stay. Loved the updated appliances and the kitchen was full stocked to cook any meal.
Kayaks were ok. Could use a couple new ones for the fleet. Would love to see a bigger fan on the porch in the future. Definitely will book again.

Great place, I’ve stayed here before but with different owners. It’s just as I remembered, upgraded furniture but basically the same! The house is perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway! Watch out for utensils left in grill, we were charged because it melted on the grill! We were unaware that it was in the grill until it was to late. But great place, and has everything you need.

Everything was great, there is nothing to improve on this rental, 5 kayaks all in great shape, the kitchen was very well equipped, everything was nice and clean, thanks.

House is located in a good spot. But inside bathrooms need repairs both floors are rotting because of water damage. Refrigerator wasnt working when we arrived still was broken when we left. Had to cut our stay a day short because eating out every meal was getting to expensive. Wood decking out back has multiple spots where wood is coming up and screws are exposed. o
On one of docks it is missing entire planking . River is way over crowed and hard to kayak on it. Plus you about get ran over by motor powered boats. Majority of the people on the river are drinking alcohol or smoking weed. Wouldn't go back here on another vacation here again.

This was an amazing experience, the host was attentive to all my messages. Beautiful place got to Kayak all day with my girls. Just overall an excellent experience.

Let me just tell you how amazing this place was for our family. They literally have everything you could possibly need to make your stay PERFECT. We had zero stress, and an absolutely amazing time. We have stayed on the river previous times at different places and this is by far our favorite. We hope the owners will have us back because we LOVE LOVE LOVED it. The power did go out so we left super early the last day but that’s no one’s fault. Also the air was super comfortable it would get the place the exact temperature you wanted it. The paddle out was so enjoyable too. Pulling up to the riverside cabana we knew this was the place for us they have the cutest landscaping decor with two kayaks sticking out of the ground. So adorable. Just the cutest touches but not overdone. This is the place to stay for sure.

We had a blast here. They had everything we needed for a sun-filled river getaway. It's a short kayak paddle to the spring water. It is probably about 2 river miles to get to Rogers park and the Upper Deck but once you know where you are going, it is a fun, easy paddle. Chris was a responsive host. The place is well stocked- with the exception of toilet paper, we did run out. Other than that, no complaints!

Very nice stay . Lots of near by attractions. Easy access to river . Accommodating owner. Less tragic than area south. Owl visited every day.

Great spot. The water is amazing!

We loved staying at this house. It was cute and just the right size for us — two adults and two teenagers. It was wonderful to have kayaks supplied.
The only thing that we had a little trouble with was the air conditioner in the living room. It was a little difficult to see the controls because they were so high up so it might be helpful to have a remote control to use with it.
We would recommend it to anyone!

This property is the perfect little rental. Unfortunately we were here due to a family emergency and didn't get to enjoy the kayaks but we couldn't have asked for a better rental and experience. The property is perfect for a small group and is very clean and one of the most well-equipped rentals I've experienced. We travel a lot and have stayed in a lot of rental homes. This one is well organized with everything you could need and conveniently labeled. The beds are comfy with plenty of extra bedding and thermostats you can easily adjust and control. The location is extremely convenient and the outdoor area is great. We loved the screened in back porch and the outdoor area with plenty of room to relax and hangout. The check in and out process was easy and the host was very responsive to our questions. Even though we weren't here under the best circumstances, we enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back here again and 100% recommend this property.

I really wanted to say good things about this place. Weeki Wachee river is definitely a place to visit, but not here. The owner filed a damage report for a dent in the refrigerator that we did not cause. A high cost for a new refrigerator. I never noticed a dent until I looked through pictures I took after I left the house. The dent was caused by the front door being opened. However we know we didn’t open the door in anyway to cause damage to the fridge. Upon our stay the owner had movers move in a couch while we were not there. Which makes sense that the movers caused the dent moving in a large couch. For some reason we are responsible, and it’s extremely upsettting not to hear back from the owner about this. He claimed we left the place a mess which is a lie. I swept, washed laundry, washed dishes, and wiped the place down I did what I could. I even left unopened condiments for future guests apparently that’s considered “leaving trash everywhere”. Yes we had a ton of trash to throw away we stayed a whole week and cooked, and drove 20 miles so it all need to be thrown out.

Perfect Getaway
Our summer vacation usually consists of going to the beach, but this year we wanted to try something different. My husband always gets stuck lugging all the crap back and forth from the beach to whatever establishment we stay in so I wanted this vacation to appeal more to his wants. When we arrived, he (as well as my daughters and I) was in awe!! The house was awesome! It was very clean and well equipped. It has the back porch, patio, and 3 docks that my husband loved SOOO much! He actually fished everyday which he hasn't done in years. (He didn't catch anything but he didn't care.) The mullet were taunting him which I found hilarious! We were able to just relax and having your own business that is very hard to do. The house was furnished with kayaks for all of us so we were able to float the river without paying extra for rentals. We were able to go to Weeki Wachi State Park which is pretty much down the road. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the mermaid show due to full capacity and inclement weather but that will give us a reason to come back. We can't wait until we can come back again!!

Little pocket of paradise!
We absolutely *loved* our trip! Close to everything and didn’t even need to go into the actual state park to have beautiful views. The pullout couch was broken so, would probably limit it to 4 adults vs 6 adults but, we had an absolute blast.

Perfect!
Perfect location to get to the springs quickly by kayak! Super clean, great house for my bday gathering, would stay here again!

Will come back!
This was our first time using Vrbo and we had no idea what to expect…greatest thing is that this place is CLEAN!!! Great lay out, worked for a group of 5 adults, plenty of space…we lived in the screened in porch! Caught a couple crabs the first night, enjoyed the kayaks, beautiful place to stay! We will totally look at coming back! Word of advice bring bug spray…bugs like the fresh water, no reflection on this location or house, just something new we learned about Florida!

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy home! It was clean and tidy and smelled wonderful when we arrived! We loved sitting out back and relaxing by the canal! This location was convenient to stores, restaurants, and parks without being right in the middle of town. The property owners were prompt with communicating with us when we had questions. Very good experience!

Excellent Vacation for the Family
We had an excellent stay here even though the weather was not so good!
We had 2 full days of kayaking!
Last 2 days the weather was bad but we saw a lot manatees 15 feet from our place! That was worth the whole trip!

Great little upgraded mobile home on a canal .
Very nice amenities including a dock , fire pit , nice furniture and quiet neighborhood .

The house was good for 2 of us. I enjoyed most of it. The mattresses both need to be replaced, both back and front doors need to be hung correctly so it is not so hard to open them. My mother had a problem getting in and out of the house and she wouldn't go near the floating dock because of the very, very steep ramp and the metal ladder with tiny steps in the water. A nice wooden, slanted with wide steps ladder would be better and safer for all. The neighborhood was quiet and the river was beautiful. We did not use the kayaks as I had my own SUP and mom wouldn't go on the dock. It was a lot of money to spend to not have good beds and safe access to the river. I would come back if the above changes were made.

Great location and everything you need to enjoy the river.
Great experience renting this property. The location was wonderful. Easy access to the river and everything we needed to enjoy the week was there. Also close to restaurants and things to do. Will definitely go back.

Hi!!
This was a great location on the canal - easy to kayak from dock to the river! All kinds of wildlife! The screened in porch with string light was awesome for evenings outside and the dock had great seating to enjoy the water! Chris was very responsive ! The kitchen is a little small, but had everything we needed.
I would definitely recommend and stay here again!
