Our family loved staying here. The cabin was very clean and the view from the dock was breathtaking. Our host was phenomenal!!! She was very responsive and answered all of our questions. Thank you so much!!!

We loved the huge screened in porch with a couch, several chairs, and a dining table - spent most of our time out there. Indoors was cozy as well. We survived a long (48 hr) power outage after a nearby tornado, and the host was in communication asking if we needed anything. We were ok - gas stove and grill were used for cooking, we had to haul water from the lake, and kept our food cold with ice. But we were there for the lake, and the lake (and canoe, and dock) were still there.

We just loved this cabin! Very clean and lovely, everything you'd need is available. We really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the porch overlooking the lake.
Stargazing from the dock was amazing and the firepit is so close and handy from the cabin. Having kayaks at our disposal was a wonderful perk as well. I must say, my new favorite bird call is the loon. We heard them every night and morning, they sound forlorn yet beautiful. A pair of them seemed to follow us around in our kayaks. Wonderful experience!
The welcome book that Angela and John provided is very helpful and informative. A "must eat at" restaurant is the Owl at Twilight.

Comortable stay in a great location. Loved sitting on the patio in the morning amd reading while listening to the sounds of the birds. Very peaceful. Kayaking on the lake at sunset when the water was like glass was lovely. We had fun kayaking to the 3 islands. A wonderful stay.

We love this cabin so much that we chose it as our vacation destination two summers in a row! Paradox Lake is a beautiful, quiet lake. We love the deck and dock that come with the property - it’s where we spend most of our time.
The cabin is cute, cozy, and a place you want to spend your time at. The beds and linen are amazing. The furniture is comfortable and we love cooking in the kitchen.
We also can’t say enough about the screened in porch. We love eating and playing board games at the large table.
Lastly, the owners are AMAZING. They really do care about your stay and are one of the best hosts we have ever dealt with on VRBO.

Everything was exactly as listed in the description. My partner and my teen and I had a lovely few days at the lake. The house is very comfortable. Front porch is the best! Only negative would be that the front bedroom queen bed was not comfortable. It didn’t bother my teen though so we just took the room with two beds and the AC. Hey, we’re the adults and a comfy mattress and cool air are needed! Thanks Angela for a beautiful cabin!

We had everything we needed for a family of four: a stocked kitchen, a screened-in porch, comfy bedrooms, a firepit, kayaks, and a dock. My favorite part of the week was listening to the loons. Paradox is definitely worth a return visit. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

The cabin is great and had what we needed for a great week in the dacks! We traveled with 2 adults and two kids (9 and 12), and really enjoyed the setting. We felt close enough to activities during the days and indulged happily and peacefully at the lake and cabin the rest of the time. Thanks to the hosts!

BEST LAKE VACATION EVER!!!!!!!!
I cannot even begin to describe how magical this week was. It’s been one of our best vacations we’ve gone on with our two small children, age 4 and 6.
Why we loved it:
1. The lake was absolutely gorgeous and great to swim in. We spent most of our time at the lake on our cozy deck and awesome dock. We had enough sand for the kids to have fun with.
2. The house was amazing. We loved the wrap around screened porch and spent so much time there. The owners do an outstanding job with cleanliness, decorating, fully stocked kitchen, and comfortable furniture.
3. We loved the area. There were restaurants, hikes, a brewery, grocery stores and etc to enjoy.
4. We also loved the fire pit area and the mud kitchen for the kids.
We can’t wait to come back!!!!!!! Thank you so much for everything!

Lakeside cabin with beautiful views. Well-stocked with all the necessities for a quiet vacation. Angela was responsive and proactive - she let me know I could check-in early, and installed the ac unit for us when it was unseasonably warm. This is definitely the cleanest rental I’ve been in, and I’m a stickler for cleanliness.

A Gem in the Adirondacks
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paradox cabin. It’s a cozy, comfortable place in the Adirondack Park region Of NY. Inside, the cabin was immaculate and thoughtfully decorated. Loved the clock! A gas fireplace quickly warmed the cabin on the cold nights. WiFi is excellent. Paradox lake is across the road and can be accessed by a stairway. The view of the lake from the cabin was amazing. Looking forward to revisiting during the warm weather to take advantage of the wrap around porch and the lake.

Parad(et)ox Lake- perfect balance getaway
We've VBRO'd in great places before. This place was outstanding.
As a home: I'm trying to find the right way to describe the perfect balance of this place. Spotless without being soulless. Decent knives to cook with, nice plates and cups, great towels, comfy beds and blankets. Homey amenities like a picnic basket and board games. But not cluttered or kitschy.
The rooms are exactly as pictured. It's not a big place inside, but the screened in porch was great.
Really the only thing that was a bummer about our stay is that we had to work "remotely" every day (great wifi!) and really didn't get to explore the area much. But we had time to sample what a long summer there could be each day - with a quick morning kayak with the fog lifting off the lake, a mini-break in the afternoon to read a book on the porch during a rainy afternoon, a jump in the lake when wrapping up work for the day, a stroll down the road at sunset where each neighbor waves hello.
Our first time in the ADK and a welcome break from the dry-ness of Northern California, we feel more than a little restored from our week there.
Thank you, Angela, you were very helpful with helping us find a place to park the boat we were towing (Schroon Lake Marina - Craig, nice guy!)

Great cabin!
Great camp in the woods on the lake! Reminds me of my grandfather’s old camp- but beautiful inside (and with electricity and no outhouse!) Brings me back to care-free summers on the lake, but with all the modern amenities. Excellent location for ADK hikes as well (45 min to high peaks)

Super Vacation!
We had a wonderful time at the Paradox Cabin! We loved the cabin, it was just perfect. The lake was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming every day! The area was very peaceful and relaxing. A great place to recharge. The location was also perfect. Close enough for all the necessities, but far enough away to completely unplug and unwind. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Great to work with. Overall it was a top ten vacation! Hope to be back some day!
