Horrendous customer service - were told by staff to open up the door now to give the key back when I was in a towel. I have never been treated like this as a paying customer and we didn't even get an apology.
The room was FILTHY with crumbs and chunks of bread on the floor, hair in the bed, the bed sheets also smelled of body odour. I wiped the counter to remove a drink stain and I couldn't believe that it came off with one wipe which implies the cleaner had not even been in the room. Our socks were COVERED in bits from the floor as no one had hoovered.
We looked around to find staff to complain but no one was there so I ended up getting the Henry hoover and giving the room a hoover - I cannot believe that I had to pay £85 to clean my own room.
In addition to this, staff claimed they don't have a card reader so I had to pay in cash and did not receive a cash receipt. If the payment is also taken from my card I will be suing, mark my words.

Jan was very accommodating. We had a very comfortable stay. The location is really good. Definitely recommend.

Was only a couple of minutes walk away from the beach 👍👍

The location is good and parking free outside if you can get a spot
There is no breakfast. There is cereal in backroom if you want it the lounge was locked the whole time we stayed and no staff around. The pillows smelt of sweat, toilet seat broken, towel and crome work in bathroom rusting found out I'm the only one paying holiday rate the other rooms are occupied by homeless people who are ironing in the kitchen and making the tea which for them this is their home but this is not a hotel for holiday people this is a fefuge house and this is no disrespect to those that are staying we spoke to quite a few of them and all seemed nice people.

Convenient location of the hotel, clean room, enough sockets, heater, shower with warm water, tea with milk, internet. The bed linen was in the same design as the room. A very pleasant impression from the host.

Well cleaned & maintained rooms with all the Kitchen items like Microwave, Fridge all there.
Mobile network connectivity and pathetic wifi speed. That doesn’t matter for a Leisure trip.

It was dog friendly, although you were told you couldn't leave the dog in the room?!
Firstly I need to say that I cannot review the Moorfield Hotel as we were diverted to it's sister hotel along the road.
We were actually approaching the Moorfield when I received a text message to say we had been booked into St Davids.
This was rather puzzling as I had had correspondence with the hotel the previous Thursday regarding an apparent 'problem with my credit card'. The hotel change was not mentioned at this point. I had made the booking in October 2021. I checked, and all my card details were present and correct as expected, (I had made two other bookings that same week with no problem). I did however reassure the proprietor that we could pay by card or cash on arrival, which she ok'd.
The replacement hotel looked very similar to The Moorfield and when shown to the room it appeared large, but had a double bed pushed up against a window and a single bed on the other side of the room, evidently a family room which we did not need. There was also another bed folded and covered in the corner. When we did want to sleep we discovered a very creaky, inferior mattress with a sheet that didn't fit. Obviously when my partner wanted to visit the bathroom during the night he had to exit the bed via the foot, or disturb me to let him out.
As we were staying one night only I had not bothered with toiletries as the Moorfield had quoted it provided free bathroom toiletries. The St Davids however did not, nor was there a hairdryer, no shower/hair wash for me then.
We had been greeted quite hospitably by a gentleman who informed us, "booking.com overbooked the Moorfield, the card machine is broken and you will need to pay cash...... room only, £70 and £10 for the dog".
The room lacked what The Moorfield offered.
I was met by defensiveness and conflicting information regarding the 'mix-up' and made to feel like I should be gratefull the booking had not been cancelled as it was my fault?!

Hate being ripped off so did not like anything
We were met by Jan who offered us a 2 bed flat instead of our room which was fine but then tried to rip us of by wanting another £180 for one night extra. We would not have booked the moorfield at all except we had left booking our holiday too late and it was all that was left. It was extremely expensive compared to other hotels £500 for 3 night with not even breakfast so for someone else to rip us off further does not sit well. It was listed as a hotel but was just a bog standard b & b. Extremely disappointed.

Convenient to the town centre
Steep stairs to the room that crippled my wife making us cut our two day stay to one.I was told that the stairs wasn’t steep when I enquired has to make sure it would be suitable for my wife,if I had been told the truth I would have cancelled.

The room was very clean and the bed very comfy, loved the pillows, they were so soft, I meant to look at the labels so I could buy them for home. A very nice hotel with lots of added extras, books, games dvds, toiletries ect. The breakfast was excellent, lots of it and good quality. we loved llandudno, its a lovely place with lots of things to do, and lots of restuarants to go to. we would definatly go again.

Great location, was quiet and clean
Didn’t get to meet the owners. The bathroom would benefit from a toilet freshener as when arrived the toilet and drains smelt. And would be nice to have bottled water for the price we paid.

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location. Close to the beach, close to shops and restaurants but still quiet. The hosts were very kind.
Lack of electrical sockets (2 in total), the room smelled like a dog has been there, some sand on the bed, one night there was no hot water.
4.5
The breakfast was amazing and the staff were very helpful and polite. Service at breakfast was fast and there was a very good choice of food.
