Great nights stay for a business stay over. Facilities excellent and great breakfast in the morning.
Staff very helpful - would certainly stay again.
Food standard was good but very pub style - could have been a little more extensive

It was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable.
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

Beautifully refurbished with excellent rooms in a great location.
All good

Quiet location, clean, well maintained.
Nothing to dislike.

Breakfast was good quality products and plenty of it if you had cooked option but would have liked more choice for lighter options- yoghurt, muesli etc. Staff were great, friendly, helpful and efficient.
The lack of the occasional shelf particularly in bathroom. Our room was disability adapted and that made the bathroom somewhat of a challenge.

Very comfortable hotel in a beautiful, peaceful location on the river crouch. Pleasant staff and good food too.
Nothing to report

Excellent modern accommodation with all the amenities of the pub close by. 200 meters from the coastal path and close to lots of attractions such as Hyde Hall.

Food good and the breakfasts are excellent. Comfortable rooms. The manager was very welcoming and friendly
Disappointed rooms were not attended to during our two night stay (ie bed made, coffee, milk tea topped up). However this would not stop us from staying here again .

Recently refurbished accommodation was exceptional as were the staff
Very friendly atmosphere with lots of young families enjoying the location and food
Think the food offering could be improved . A bit too traditional pub grub only which was disappointing

The Ferry Boat Inn is a great B&B the rooms being seperate to.the Inn were lovely with a nice courtyard just for people staying. The bedroom was tastefully furnished and a superb bed im.fussy about pillows which are either hard! or like pancakes in a lot of hotels! But the pillows and bedding were of a high speck so comfy. Breakfast was very nice the full English had very good produce. Loved the location am originally from.that area. The walk along the estuary was very scenic we even saw a seal.come up in the water with a fish just caught! Very enjoyable stay
All.good would stay again

A uniquely quiet pace near tha marina. No loud music played at night in the bar. The location is ideal for those who would like to take a walk along the Crouch up to Burnham and fauther, if they like.
Breakfast starts very late - 8:30 only.

just a shame it wasn’t published that the pub element is shut on a Monday. I was looking forward to a beer and a meal. good breakfast on the Tuesday morning though.

Superb pub in a tranquil location. The rooms are in separate buildings at the rear so you are insulated from late night boozers, not that there were any. Food was excellent, nice range of real ales. Will return on leisure soon to explore some of the walks in the area

Room was lovely, very comfortable and clean. Food was very good, both evening meal and breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
We couldn’t fault anything

Great get away location yet not too far from Chelmsford.
Nothing to dislike; room needs some hooks on the door and in the bathroom for coats, dressing gowns etc and the bathroom door should really have a lock on it.

Lovely old pub recently restored and extended whilst retaining most of its original features and charm. The addition of six tastefully furnished en-suite bedrooms positioned around a sunny courtyard makes it an ideal venue for a peaceful stay in the Essex countryside.
My room was very comfortable, the food and service were good and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.
Miles of countryside and river walks, and the historic towns of Burnham and Maldon are just a short drive away.
Highly recommended and I hope to return.
Being a solo traveller is expensive as you are paying for accommodation for two (but The Ferry Boat is good value for a couple so I suppose that isn’t really a negative!)
Some of the younger, part-time waiting staff could do with more training and supervision from the very pleasant and efficient regular staff.
I would like to have seen more fresh fish on the menu, no ‘Specials’ were offered and I felt that breakfast was lacking fruit or cereal to start, and perhaps some marmalade to have with toast afterwards? It was, literally, just a plate of cooked breakfast with juice, tea or coffee. However, these are minor points I raise as a suggestion, and they did not detract from the enjoyment of my stay.

They need to sort the smell of drains in certain sections of the dining room.
