About this apartment rental
Welcome to Captain's Cove! A quiet 27-unit complex in Indian Shores, FL located directly on the intracoastal waters and right across the street from the peaceful beaches of Indian Shores. Enjoy intracoastal sunrises from the balcony and sunsets at the beach located just across the street from the Captain's Cove complex. The complex has a private pier that you can fish off of or wave to the boats going by. Captain's Cove is located in Indian Shores, Fl nestled between the attractions of Clearwater Beach and John's Pass boardwalk. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the condo. The beach access is a short 3 minute walk from the condo. When you leave the condo head south and you will see the beach access.
This unit is located on the third floor. The first floor is parking (underneath the building). You will need to climb 2 flights of stairs to reach the unit. There is no elevator.
The spacious master bedroom has a king size bed plus a full size futon. It also has a desk and chair in case you need to work remotely.
The guest bedroom has a queen size bed plus twin bunk beds. No one over 100 lbs. should sleep on the top bunk.
There is basic cable on the living room smart TV. There are smart TV's in each bedroom (with no cable) for streaming only.
The complex has a heated pool in case you don't want to make the short walk to the beach.
Beach chairs, toys and towels are provided.

This place was simply amazing!
The view is incredible. There was a nice open area for great family space and the bedrooms were private. The condo was more stocked with cooking incidentals than other places we've stayed.
Check in/out was super smooth.
We loved coffee on the balcony patio while watching manatees and the different birds. It was a quick walk to the beach (beach gear provided) and the sunsets were gorgeous. Pool with outdoor shower was refreshing.
For ice cream lovers (even diary free)- Lulu's is a must and it's just a few steps away from the Cove.
We can't wait to come back to this secret gem!

We really enjoyed our stay at Captain's Cove. The condo was spacious and had a fantastic view. We really appreciated everything that was provided including beach chairs and beach towels. The kitchen was fully stocked. The host was easy to communicate with, provided clear instructions, and answered all questions quickly. The condo is very close to the beach access as well. We would definitely stay here again.

My family (in-laws, husband and children) loved staying in this beautiful condo with fantastic location and view. The beach is nearly right across the road, the condo has nice large (well decorated) rooms, an amazing porch and even provides basic needs (sugar, dishwashing liquid, etc) to get you going. Parking is easy and not an extra charge like it is in most other rentals. Will most definitely visit again.

This home was wonderful. It had everything you would need. There were beach chairs, bags, toys and two wagons. There was a closet full of beach towels to use too! The beach was a 5 minute walk across the street. You will need to bring shampoo and shower gel. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved this condo! It was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking, going to the beach, and fishing. This was the most well-stocked condo we have ever stayed in. We enjoyed the pier on property and it was a short easy walk across the street to the beach.

Everything was as advertised and as pictured. We throughly enjoyed the patio - it was the perfect view for morning coffee and dinner. We also enjoyed watching birds and dolphins from the pier - it's the perfect spot for an amazing sunrise. It's a five minute walk to a nice beach with clear water. It's a nice place to stay - a few updates to make in the master bath, but not a big deal. We would definitely stay here again!

The pool area is quite small so we spent most of our time at the beautiful beach that was very close walking distance.

The condo was a great size for a family of 5 with three young kids close to the beach, shops and ice cream. There were games for the kids and adults to play on a rainy afternoon. Great view of the canal and got to see dolphins from the deck, that was cool. Had lots of beach toys and chairs for everyone.

We have stayed at Captain's Cove for several years, and thoroughly enjoyed our visits The condo has a lovely view of the intercoastal canal. We enjoy having our coffee and also dinner on the deck. We take advantage of the heated pool, and also the short walk to the beach. The condo itself has everything we need for a great vacation.

Clean, spacious, and well-appointed. Great communication with owner and easy check-in. We arrived early and our condo was clean and ready. Location on the waterway was beaufiful and we saw dolphin and manatee. Easy access to the beach right across the road. Four stars given ONLY due to super-tight parking and very loud guests at the neighboring condos (not this complex, but the ones next to it. Obviously not the fault of our owner!) This is a great, economical, clean place to stay in Indian Shores!

We enjoyed our time at Captains cove. The listing is as presented on VRBO. lots of kitchen tools and appliances for whatever you want to make. Its the biggest balcony deck I've ever had. The pool was warm and clean. heading south to the beach is less than 5min walk once out of the parking lot. All the things you need for the beach provided, including towels which not all rentals do. The area includes alot of restaurants within walking distance. If your a paddleboarder, easy access to the intercoastal, and a means to wash sand off your board or anything else. comfy beds too. Just a great stay. thanks for the hospitality!

We had a wonderful experience! The condo was very comfortable and clean. The Location was perfect minutes away from Indian shores Beach, which is a true hidden gem! The beach is not very busy which was nice. The condo was furnished with everything we needed for a perfect beach day. There were many things to do within walking distance. However, we did have a car, so we traveled to John's pass a couple times, which was a short drive. Fun place to walk around with many places to shop and eat. We also went to Clearwater beach for the day. Which was also a short drive. This beach was fun but very crowded we definitely preferred Indian Shores beach. We Very much enjoyed our stay. The whole area was very clean and felt very family friendly! We had no problems finding the place and checking in and out was a breeze! Again, it was our first time doing VRBO and everything was perfect! Highly recommend!!

We had a great stay here during SB! Condo was packed with all of the essentials (towels, cart, chairs, umbrellas, beach toys) for the beach which was only a short walk away. We enjoyed the local seafood restaurants, afternoon visits to the pool and morning breakfast tea/coffee on the balcony. We love the quiet calmness of this community…a great break away for our family of 5.

This condo was beautiful, well maintained with a gorgeous view of the canal from the balcony. It was an easy walk to the beach and a really nice pool area. It was located in a cute beach town that wasn't too crazy busy. Clearwater and other beaches were an easy drive. We will definitely be back.

This was our second year staying at Captain’s Cove, although this was a different unit. The location can’t be beat, as there is a lovely view of the canal from the deck and a short walk across the road to the gulf beach. We enjoyed morning coffee and dinner in the deck. The condo had everything we needed. Only comment is that we wish there were more detailed instructions to get local television station or cable. (Streaming services were available). The condo had WiFi which was adequate for several devices, as we worked remotely. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was nice, and two bathrooms were great. We booked again for next year! Thanks so much.

This was a very comfy condo, and we enjoyed our short get away. The beds were comfy, but the bunk beds are a little squeaky when someone rolls around which is hard for the person sleeping in the other bed if your a light sleeper.
Enjoyed the fishing dock and beach access across the gulf Blvd.

To say we loved the location and space of this condo is an understatement. It was perfect from the first step. Beautifully decorated and clean. Just steps from the beach with all the beach gear you could need available to use. We were sad to leave and would be back tomorrow if there weren’t these lame things called work and school. The host answered questions within minutes and even have excellent recommendations. If you are looking for a nice personal boat cruise in the area I highly recommend Ryan from Need for Sea Boat Tours. Great restaurants and things to do. We will be back and I’ll tell everyone I know who wants to stay near Clearwater to stay here. Thanks so much. Best vacation in years.

In my daughter's words, "I give it an A++". This property was wonderful. We love the Madeira Beach area, the property was quiet, beautiful view, fully equipped beyond our expectations, and just all around great!
Our only complaint was that the pool closed at dusk. We like evening swims, but that will definitely not stop us from returning.

This place was tastefully decorated, very clean, and convenient to beach and many restaurants. My family was also very impressed and good old dad made some points with this choice of stays. I can't think of a single negative, everything was well taken care of.

Cleanest and best stocked condo we have ever stayed at!
My family of 5 adults and one teen fit perfectly here. Of all the condos we have stayed at this has been the cleanest and most comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beach towels and umbrellas were provided as well as two beach wagons which is a major plus as most condos do not provide these things. It was quiet there which was nice. We enjoyed the beach, very short walk. The bird wildlife was amazing to watch. We saw two sea turtle nests too! The liner in the main bathroom needs replaced with a longer one. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone. We do not have small kids, but this condo provided several sand toys and also has a small pool on property. Also the beach is not congested, which is what we like, also making this location nice for families with smaller children. Definitely recommend this property!

Great family vacation spot.
We stayed at the property on family vacation and it was great. It was a short walk to a beautiful beach. The property had some beach equipment (wagon, umbrella, mat, sand toys, etc.) we were able to use which was great because we flew into town. The kids also really enjoyed the pool.
