About this house rental
Welcome to our cottage! Be our guest in this quaint and well-appointed cottage located across the street from picturesque Rogers Lake and enjoy all that the lake and the beautiful shoreline town of Old Lyme have to offer. Whether you just want to sit back and relax during your stay, or take advantage of all that the area has to offer, there is something for everyone.
Our cottage is located on a half-acre in the Rogers Lake West Shores Association, a small, quiet lakeside community. Perfect for walking, biking, or hiking on the many nearby trails. The lake, which can be accessed directly across the street, is perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating or bird watching. There is a public boat launch on the other side of the lake if you choose to bring your own boat. Boat traffic is very light, even on most weekends in the summer, with a HP limit of 135hp. If fishing is your thing, the lake is well stocked with brown and rainbow trout. Largemouth bass, pickerel, perch, sunfish, and bluegill are also in abundance. Kayaks, tubes for floating the day away, beach chairs, and other water accessories are all available for your use at the cottage.
The town of Old Lyme is a shoreline community, rich in history, and abundant in art. Take a stroll down historic Lyme Street and view the architecture – then grab an ice cream cone from the Old Lyme Ice Cream Shoppe. Plan a visit to the Florence Griswold Museum, the Lyme Art Association, or the open air sculpture garden – Studio 80 – a hidden gem! Visit one of the many local beaches in the area. Take a short ride to Mystic and visit the historic Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, or the shops of Mystic Village. Then treat you palette to one of the many wonderful restaurants in town.

This place was perfect for our family. The location to the lake with the private beach and kayaking was outstanding. The property owners immediately replied to us with a special request for early check in due to us flying in on a red eye flight early in the morning. we would stay here again without hesitation.

We had a great trip to Connecticut. Lee and Tracy Ann were VERY attentive in addressing an issue that came up during our stay. Things often happen that are beyond anyone's control, and the speed at which our host resolved the issue saved the trip. Highly recommend!!!

Great experience for me and my family. The house was so comfortable and well-equipped. We packed light (for us) but still ended up bringing too much because there was so much at the house already. It pretty much has everything you need for a perfect NE summer vacation. Little things like extra towels and ice in the freezer on our arrival on made our stay even more pleasant. Slept well on good mattresses. The ACs in the bedrooms were essential given that we had seniors and people with health issues in our group. Used the Weber grill to cook up dinner on many of the nights. Every other night I built a fire in the fire pit. In the AM, hummingbirds visited the potted flowers on the porch.
The location was perfect for us. There was something for everyone in our group. There are great beaches and state parks nearby. We had a fantastic time kayaking on the lake. The lake is beautiful and the boat launch area for the kayaks is pretty much a stone’s throw from the house. The swim area on Roger Lake was a perfect spot for my sister and her kids. There are also great beaches nearby. Many grocery stores, pharmacies, and everything else within a short drive.
Also want to mention that the host is attentive and responsive. There was a minor plumbing issue that had us momentarily worried, but Lee responded immediately and set everything right.

I recently spent two weeks here and it was awesome! The house was perfect. The kitchen was stocked. There were plenty of linens and towels. The decor is super cute. The lake was right across the street and I had a great time kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. Lee and Tracy are great hosts. They quickly respond to questions and have provided everything that you need for your stay. Thanks Lee & Tracy for a great time!

The house and property were very nice. The furniture, beds, linens and towels were exceptionally nice and comfortable. The water access was just a few steps across the way and the water was beautiful and nice. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing and swimming. The neighborhood was quiet and the people we met were friendly. We enjoyed relaxing around the fire at night. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time and made some nice memories.

Perfect! The location, the cottage, the friendly owners, the surrounding area!
From the day we arrived and were greeted by Tracy to the last morning of our stay, we had an amazing week. The cottage is warm and cozy, it had everything that you could possibly need/want and more. Just bring your clothes and food! We had the use of kayaks, floats and an inflatable boat and we took advantage of them all. The lake is clean, the beach area great, the fire pit for s’mores … just wonderful. We brought our Cavapoo, Charlie, along (which was such a big part of staying at this house) and he totally approved!
Thank you Lee and Tracy!!!
