Second time we stayed at this property! Location is great and the house is fabulous!!

This is unique property has a lot of room to spread out. The dining room table is ideal for large groups. The sandy beach area is a good spot to check on the wiles of Lake Superior. The river area (just a ten minute walk away) is better for stone skipping, fires, etc. There are only two showers, which takes some coordination for a big group. We enjoyed seeing the waterfalls at Amnicon Falls and Pattison State Parks as well as a day trip to Bayfield and the Apostle Islands.

If you’re traveling with a big group, looking for a place to stay this is a great one to choose! Such a spacious, beautiful location. & close to the beach! Don’t miss out, you will have so much fun!

This property was perfect for our family. Plenty of space to be together. The kids enjoyed the dart board, Pac-Man game and the ping pong table. The location was rural but close enough to Duluth for day trips. We hope to visit again soon!

Upon arrival the grass was long. The garage/game room was not habitable for humans. It stunk, the furniture, windows, and walls were filthy. We did not use it at all. Inside the house we had mice run across the kitchen floor and the next day we found two dead rotting mice trapped in a cage beneath the living room sofa. The dead corpses stunk up the room. The master bathroom shower curtain had mold/slime on it and the tile around the toilet was loose and broken and in total disrepair. The large wood dresser were not property anchored and had shims under the feet and presented a hazard to children. Our three year old grandchild opened a drawer and the dresser started to fall but her father was able to hold it up. The carpet on the stairs was old and filthy.
Contrary to the pictures the house has been neglected for a very long time. We have pictures to back up everything we described above. Clearly this was the worse rental we have ever encountered.

Family reunion, 8 adults 6 kids 3-9 yr old. Perfect rambling big house for such chaos. Great location and area. Nothing fancy but suited our purpose well.

Enjoyed the location with options for beach time at the property or down the road or close by on the MN north shore or east towards Bayfield.

Our family stayed here over the 4th of July. I was a bit skeptical when we were winding our way back on dirt roads. We were captivated by how big the house was. Our kids were already there and had put away all the food in the pantry. The property was still quite wet from all the rain they recently received. We did use the beach down the road for the bonfire on the 4thofJuly. The kitchen was one of my favorites. It had windows on both sides. We really appreciated the games and the electronic dart board. Everyone had their own bedroom. This place made beautiful memories for our family.

Great property to get together and just hang out or go for a walk. Close enough to towns, parks for time away or perfect to stay and relax, play games or catch up on a good book. Great retreat! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Kris was super responsive and helpful! The property is tucked away in a very peaceful corner right on lake Superior. We had a full house and it was definitely large enough to accommodate everyone. Highly recommended if you have a large group!

This is a great property with lots of room right on Lake Superior! Kris is a super host and was very helpful with any questions we had. Home is close to a state park, and a short drive to Superior. Beds were comfortable and it was just a nice gathering spot for our family. Kids loved the catwalk!

It just couldn't have been any more perfect. The host, location, amenities and quirky fun layout of the house where all beyond our expectations. We made wonderful memories without any worries and plenty of room. Thank you for providing a wonderful place for us to enjoy.

We were in the area for a ski/snowboarding trip and wanted a place we could all fit in together. The kids were amazed at the many rooms and staircases and we all enjoyed the common room with the TV, fireplace and dartboard! Great stay for our 3 families totaling 13 people.

The house was the perfect size for our large family! The ability to see Lake Superior and walk the trails was fantastic. Lots of wilderness! Would recommend!

The home was uniquely designed but was very nice and clean. Our large group had a plenty of space, there were plenty of tables and chairs for everyone. The bedrooms were good sized and clean. Overall very nice place and Kristopher was wonderful!

We absolutely loved this home! The layout is funky but we really enjoyed “exploring” and finding all of the quirky features. There is one bedroom in a converted porch type room, and one main floor 1/2 bath. You must go up or down steps to get to a shower or tub, and there is a step down to the kitchen. You drive a ways on a gravel road, past a farm, which we don’t mind at all but it could be an adventure in wet times or winter. We would love to come back in wintertime to see it, it’s probably beautiful. The walk to the water is fairly steep and the water gets high enough to cover the beach at times- but it’s worth the wait for the beach to open up and worth the walk down. You will need to bring your own salt/pepper/etc. If you can stay at this property and don’t mind steps/gravel roads, you should absolutely do it! We hope to be back soon!

This place was very spacious and cozy. Beds were comfy and towels were fluffy. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and dishware. It had rained quite a bit when we were there so it made it a bit more difficult to get down to the lake (muddy and slick). The kids were addicted to the Pac-Man game! I think there could be some improvement on cleaning details but overall it was mostly good and I would recommend staying at this place

We stayed at Kris' property for the weekend of our wedding. Kris was easy to get ahold of and a joy to work with. The property was perfect for our large group and had plenty of room. FYI- the neighbors are an older retired couple and will call the owner if you do anything in the slightest. We had a very small and tame rehearsal dinner outside for 20 minutes and they called. I recommend the property, but if you have kids or even a big group it felt like we were walking on eggshells

This was an ideal property for a multifamily, multigenerational vacation. The resources and amenities made it so easy to pack with all the towels, bedding, kitchen items, lawn/game items available in the rental.

Our family enjoyed this spacious house in an extremely private setting. Our beach time was wonderful - sun sand, rock collecting and driftwood and clay crafts. The kids kept busy for hours.

This place is everything you could ask for. Quite area, massive living space, quiet and on the lake front with a basically private beach. Close to Duluth if you want to go into town. Kris was an amazing host and responsive at every turn. My group does this early and this was one of the top 3 properties we’ve ever seen and for a great price. Would go back again.

Our family (three generations, 14 of us with children ages 1-10) enjoyed the property entirely, there was plenty of space to enjoy the beach, darts, ping pong and to just be together without being on top of each other. The kitchen is nicely furnished to be able to cook for a large group. Our oldest granddaughter votes to return as she thinks it was “the best ever”.

Our extended family had plenty of room to relax and spend time together in this beautiful property. We enjoyed being along Lake Superior and having our private beach access along with being in the woods and seeing lots of wildlife.

Our family usually meets once a year for a family reunion of sorts. We had our parents and 3 of 4 kids and their families on this trip. We wanted a remote place on the water and a place we could all stay under one roof. This place fit the bill. While we spent a day exploring the north shore of Minnesota the rest of our time was spent on the property or downtown Duluth/Superior. We saw deer in the back yard and one day we saw a Candian Lynx in the driveway! It got spooked and quickly vanished. Really cool to see from all of the property's windows. The kids we had on the trip all loved the bunk bed room with the viewing skylight/tower. We enjoyed playing some ping pong and foosball in the garage. Owners were very communicative and reached out before we traveled to the area. A+++++ property and owners.

This is a great place to host a family gathering or group of friends. We had plenty of space for 8 adults and 4 children with a room to spare.
There is a wonderful little beach to play on at the property and the Amincon river is just down the road, which provides some great swimming and fishing.
Kris has amazing communication and will be there to help you if you need it. Highly recommend staying here with your group gathering or family reunion.

This property is everything and more. With amazing views of lake superior from the kitchen and lots of wildlife to entertain. Very spacious home that has everything you need to make your visit awesome. Great communication from the host.

Our group of 5 had a great time here. Lots of space and beautiful views of Lake Superior and the woods. We loved the big open kitchen and the multiple seating areas. Bedrooms were comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch - it was unseasonably warm during our stay! The fireplace in the living room was also great in the evenings. One thing to note - there is no bedroom on the first level - so if you have anyone with mobility issues, that could be an issue.
Everything else was great - would definitely recommend this property.

It was very nice, such a big house. We all enjoyed the long weekend. The children really enjoyed the walks down to the lake and making snowmen on Friday morning. The kitchen was really nice for preparing meals. The views were beautiful from all areas of the home.
